I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
I paid for May, June and July for a small glam bag and the company can't even deliver. I never received one item. This is a scam. I have not received one item that I paid for from this company. Do yourself a favor and try a different company because this is a scam.
Tip for consumers:
Try a different company. This company cannot provide the services they promise.

None of them. I never received anything.
Sense the beginning it was just a series of unfortunate events. I subscribe and awaited my first bag, NEVER CAME! They told me to wait due to Covid... 3WEEEKS later still nothing! I updated my shipping information in the time span they recommend to update them in time. They had well over a month after I updated it and they still end up sending my "replacement bag" to the wrong address! I lost $25 to Ipsy and never got any bag. They are so unprofessional and unorganized.
I subscribed because a friend recommended it to me and told me how great it was, well after 3 months of having a subscription I never have received any products or any glam bags but have gotten billed every month so far. I wish I had never signed up for this. Worst Idea I Have EVER had.
Always used to get so excited when an ipsy bag would arrive! It was a really nice surprise when I would get one. But i had to cancel because it was too expensive. I could afford it - but I just couldnt justify what I was spending for what I was getting.
Ipsy allows its members to add extra things to their bags (which in my experience adds two weeks shipping time to your bag). You pay for these add-ons at a discounted rate. When I FINALLY received my Ipsy bag, I did not receive the add-on I had specifically selected and waited for. I contacted Ipsy only to be told they had run out. They failed to alert me in the weeks my bag was late as they were scrambling to cover their oversight and couldn't bother to tell their customer who keeps them I business that the item they were anticipating wasn't even going to be shipping to them. Ipsy is a joke.
I have used ipsy for about 6 months now. I took the quiz and it seems like they have given me just about every product that I DONT want. I'm sure they just find what is cheapest and give the good products to the beauty bloggers. I emailed and complained (considering that I am paying for these products, I want to make sure I am getting ones I will use) and they responded and told me sorry but we want you to try new things so you will be getting the same products. Not impressed. I will give them one more month and then probably switch over to birchbox.
Im extremely disappointed, products are cheap & very low quality, they go bad and start smelling old within a week or so, no expiration date.
I canceled my subscription as i started breaking out and getting random rashes on my face & I also have an eye infection from using their products….
Customer service send me gift after canceling lol I couldn't believe what they send, a cheap $#*! smaller blush as if that was gonna help change my mind, bunch of scammers. Save your money!
Tip for consumers:
I do not recommend. Dollar store make up is way better quality

I ordered the July box. A tracking link was available in the app. Almost 25 days later the shipping company said that the package had been delivered and was ready for pickup but never stated where.
I went on the shipping website and no links worked for contact or customer service.
I messaged ipsy customer service and she said she would replace my order but not the items I thought because some weren't available.
A link was sent to "track" my replacement package and the link doesn't work at all and I waited well past the 48 hours they said to before the tracking would be available.
I'm honestly thinking I'm being scammed.

I've been looking in my Ipsy app to see if they were gonna charge me for a glam bag this month because I didn't want it, I even canceled my membership. But still got charged $60 $#*!ing dollars when I was on the $13/month plan to try it out. Never wanted the glam bag X just because I couldn't afford it. Apparently, there's no refunds for this but I NEVER accepted anything for this month, always checked to see if it was gonna charge me like I said before. I want my money back and they can take my package back. I literally haven't even gone grocery shopping, lol that was the last bit of money I had.
I'm so annoyed that I had to make an account to write a review. I initially signed up for this in october. It was too late to get the october bag so they sent me the november bag. I liked one out of 5 items, but then the december bag came and I didn't like any of the items. So I immediately cancelled. I even checked my account status to see if it's actually cancelled and it said "unsubscribed" under my name. However, they charged me on january for a new bag even though I was unsubscribed. I checked back and saw that my account was subscribed again. I went ahead and unsubscribed for the second time and went through the same process for cancellation. Let's just hope that they stop charging me
Hi Vivian. Apologies for the trouble! Once your cancellation is confirmed, there is no way for our system to automatically put you back to an active status. While I'm unable to look up your account without your email address and name, it seems like the cancellation wasn't finalized, or was finalized after the 1st of the month. All cancellation requests must be made before the 1st to be effective for that month. If you want to ensure your cancellation is all set, please contact our customer service team! They can look into your account and make sure you are cancelled. support@ipsy.com
I signed up for a 12/month bag. Charged 12.00 for April, received that bag end of May.
May 1 I was charged $28.60 then received a bag with three EXACT same items!
June 1 I was charged again $26.80 then received THE SAME THREE ITEMS. I emailed them and got a canned response explaining these were "mystery bags" and sometimes they contain same items because they are "popular " items.
So I cancelled my subscription in June but got charged $28.60 on July 2nd!
Terrible customer service.
In the quiz I clearly states that my skin was a dark color. I am a black women but Ipsy constantly sends me skin products for white or light skinned women. The hair products are also never for women of color they are only for white women. Ipsy is a fantastic lovely little surprise every month but I really am tired of receiving all of the wrong skin and hair products. The communicaton with Ipsy is also flaws because whenever I review my items or write about Ipsy ignores it.
I just received my bag today and inside was mascara that had been opened it ran all over the bag all over everything the only major runes was the mascara and the bag everything else can be wiped down and saved can you please replace it patients at a much earlier stage or patients who wouldn't it whenever going to progress to the severe pneumonia that the was the tip-off of this problem in China
I subscribed in 2019, as I couldn't find another online customizable cosmetic service. Ipsy responded with an email order confirmation and a promise that I would receive 4-6 products each month, based on my color preferences. Well, what I received in the first 2 shipments they sent me were cheap. 05 - 1oz. SAMPLE sizes. Not the full-sized products they had advertised on social media. Also, my sample lipstick was Red, when I had specified Brown on my profile. And the marketing emails designed to entice you to purchase future makeup collections for the alleged $12, are click-bait that open to individually priced products costing over $30.
My august bag shipped on the 16th. Its September 2nd and still havent received it. This happens way too often. I had 13 items total because I always purchase lots of add-ons... none of those arrived either. I turned in points for an eyeshadow pallette, that hasn't arrived. I ordered extra items from their shop and those just showed up today before the subscription bag (really?) I'm probably going to just begin skipping bags just to give myself a break from these annoyances and if this happens again I will cancel. There are other subscriptions out there that I'm sure would appreciate my money.
I use to love this company, unfortunately they have went extremely down hill. I paided for a January bag and did not receive it they said they sold out. They still tried to charge me for a February bag even though I am not getting my January bag. This company will try everything to get get more and more money from you for products that a mediocre at best. Shame!
Ipsy is terrible. They make you take this no sense quiz and don't send you anything close to your preferences. They also will send you the same products just different brands and different colors. I have no idea hif many times I told them I don't want makeup brushes and they just keep sending them or shades that are no where near my skin tone. They are fast to charge your debit card every month though that's for sure. I have had at least 6 of my friends cancel and I am canceling next. DO NOT GO WITH IPSY you are better of going to the makeup stores and asking for a sample for free.
I did a review of the Glambag Plus a month ago which I would like to revise. Ipsy finally sent my bag, albeit a month late. They also gave me a refund for my trouble, which I wasn't expecting and even though I deserved it I really appreciated it. So now my opinion of them has changed, SLIGHTLY. I still won't do business with them anymore, but I am not as angry as before. The products in the Glambag Plus are VERY NICE I calculated the value of my bag to be $131.00. That's not bad for a $25.00 subscription box. Still it's not worth the trouble to me. I'd rather just go online and order what I want and in a week or less my products are in my mailbox. Plus I can return anything I don't like. Done and done.
I ordered their product on oct. 7, it's been stuck with shipping since the 18th, as of the 2nd of November they would be charging me for a second glam bag, however the first has not yet arrived.
Attempts to rectify have been exhausting with responses from either a bot or a very uncaring representative. You get a repetitive scripted reply and any type of resolution has proven to be imposible.

My subscription started in July... by July 11,2017 it said that My bag was shipped and now it is August 4 and they want to tell me my card declined for my bag for August. Well duh! I'm not paying for another bag until I get the first one.
Ive been with ipsy for almost 2 years. At first it was a hit or miss but as time has went on they hook my bags up! I absolutely recommend ipsy. I love it. And now evry quarter i get to upgrade for the glamx and its totally worth it. For any age female try ipsy tge linger your with them the better your bags get. I even every so often retake the beauty quiz just to play around with what kind or type of products ill receive.
Tip for consumers:
If you dont receive your bag they will replace it. If your not happy they will replace it! Just contact ipsy care whenever you need to they always email right back!

Ipsy was great, until it wasn't. If you had a question, or a shipment went missing, or HEAVEN FORBID you wanted to cancel your membership, there is NO customer service to help with any of it. The only phone number you can find is out of service and they make it so you can't ever get ahold of a real person. The worst part of the whole experience was trying to cancel after mine and my sister's memberships got messed up. They kept sending her refreshments instead of Ipsy and since we could never get ahold of anyone, we couldn't ever get it fixed. So, we decided to cancel the membership. Little did we know that would prove even MORE difficult! It's a whole runaround and we got charged for months after we thought we'd finally figured out how to cancel.
This month bag is the worst of them all. I am tired of getting products that is clearly not worth it. I have becom just a collector of bags. The lipstick shades suck. I have decided I am going to opt out of this mess. See yah on the other side.
I cancelled my Ipsy subscription years ago, because I wasn't happy with the items. I subscribed to Boxycharm and loved them! Until Ipsy bought them out. I've waited months to decide if I liked the products I was receiving since Ipsy took over. And...I do not. Not only are the products pretty much thrown into a box (Boxycharm was always very nicely placed in a box), the box always seems beat up (it can always be the post office?), and the products are just meh. The products do not seem worth it, and I don't care for a lot of the (seemingly cheapie) brands. When you google individual products (as I do before choosing the 3 I want each month), it seems like they give you choices of items that have bad reviews, or aren't selling well. I'm sad that Boxycharm is not a thing anymore!

Hi BreeAnna. Oh no! If you paid for 3 months of Glam Bags, all 3 Glam Bags would have been shipped to the address on file with your account. It's possible that your address is incorrect, or your packages were undeliverable by USPS or FedEx. Please email ipsyCare so we can verify your address and send free replacements!
