I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
I've been an Ipsy customer for close to a year at first I started with the glam bag I wasn't getting all my products they did not send me the products that were supposed to be in the bag instead told me they didn't have them products so they can give me a partial refund every time I buy add-ons I never receive I recently upgraded to Glam Bag Plus I received two bags so far both had missing items I just received my bag today empty I was supposed to have nine items I received four items out of the bag I received two of the Glam Bag products out of five your promised and two add-ons out of four I am not letting this go one item is a mistake five items I'm being targeted now as how I feel fourth time in a row I am missing more than one or two items. I want my products! Over this BULL$#*! it won't let me upload my pictures so I'll make a new post
Tip for consumers:
You will regret it , they don't care about us only money if they did they would fix there MISTAKES partial refund

I use my products that is why I am beyond pissed that it's an every month thing now that I am missing
The small and repeat samples are NOT worth $12! The survey for the products you get are a waste of time because I kept getting things that I said I didn't use/ didn't want!
Top options r all n selection 1, great if want 2 try new brands & products & *missing items monthly!
Tip for consumers:
If you are newer to makeup, searching for a new look or different products hen it could be a way to try them.. however be aware that they raise prices a lot, you get let down & rarely get what products you are hoping to choose, & a great way to try other products is add ons (during your monthly selection process) you can purchase other products done starting as cheap as $3 up to over $50.. the $3 ones are repeat ones often but usually great products or even to use for teens or a travel bag etc.

I have used a lot of the lip products & mascaras & eye liners & highlighters & brushes. It has opened me to some new brands & products in these categories which I do now use & like but not replaced my OGs.
They tie you in with all this bull $#*! about being "personalized," and "you get what you want," but they don't even look at the test you take and see what product you want or don't want. I specifically put that I don't want anything that has to do with lips (lipstick, gloss, liner, etc.) or eyeshadow BUT THATS ALL THEYVE SENT ME. WTH. I've been signed up for four months and I already have accumulated around 6 products just from that category. AND THEYRE USELESS TO ME! They show the other products that you could have received and they show insta pictures from some of the recipients of glam bags and the products that seemed more name brand and expensive never showed up in any of the instagrams. The glam bag is complete bull $#*!
I first joined Ipsy maybe around 2014 and I wasn't aware that there was a waitlist. If they don't have any spots open, you'll be waitlisted. However I always found this really strange because there have been opportunities since then to "skip the line" and just sign up. A few months ago a friend of mine tried to sign up and was waitlisted and I signed up in December for January 2018's bag and while she is still on the waitlist, I've been sent a confirmation that I'll be getting a glam bag this month.
In my opinion, these bags don't really seem to customized. I don't have a problem with that since I have a sister and some friends I can pass on whatever I'm not into, onto. If you're looking for them to send you just skincare, just neutral colors, or just a very specific thing, then this may not be for you.
In my experience, cancelling has been easy to do. You just go online and contact the Ipsy Care team.
They do have points you can redeem for things but those points expire after a certain amount of time. They also host giveaways that you can ente just be sure to check the page often so you know when they're posted because they tend to end pretty quickly after about a week.
To sum it all up, you may be contacting the Ipsy Care team quite a bit but they'll always try to make you happy. It feels like the bags are actually just random. I think I would only recommend this to people who want to explore beauty products and are on a bit of a budget. A great alternative to this would be the Play! By Sephora box which is priced the same as this.
Ipsy used to be awesome used to get some really cool selections. Even then you really didn't get stuff that matched your quiz results, that you take. I tend to get a lot of mascaras and eyeliners which, mascaras I only use every so often and eyeliners are hardly use it all. Now it's like you don't get anything that is on your list of things you want frequently and you get a lot more things that are more cleansers than make up. Like exfoliants, lotions and primers which none of the things that I actually use. The bags used to be packaged and shipped to me really quick, it felt almost within 2 days. Now it seems like you wait a month and a half for them to even fulfill your order and then you wait another month and a half to actually get it in the mail. So I just don't think that it's worth the money I'm actually going to go and cancel mine because the last glam bag that they sent me I haven't received yet.It didn't get fulfilled until 4 days after the time frame for fulfillment. Plus it still hasn't even gotten here and won't be here until the 25th. Which means it's about 10 days in transit from North Carolina to South Carolina which is just ridiculous to me. Oh and to top it all off they have raised their prices. So yeah, no, it's hard to know for me! I believe next time I will go to Amazon and order something for them at least they're reliable.
Tip for consumers:
Remember it's going to take him forever to get it to you and most likely it won't match your quiz results.

About 3 out of five items I actually use.
Ipsy is definitely not my favorite subscription service by far--the samples are not the greatest and I do sometimes get things I really do not like. The problem with the majority of the reviews on here is that most of these people are expecting to be getting full-size products and that they will all be everything they could have ever dream of! GET REAL! You are paying $10.00 a month. TEN DOLLARS A MONTH! A full-size version of ONE of the things you get each month is worth AT LEAST $20.00. The whole point of subscribing to these companies is to be able to try makeup products BEFORE you pay full price for it! You wouldn't want to spend $50 on a mascara only to find you don't like the brush or the way it sits on your lashes--that is a serious waste of money. So paying $10 a month to try before you buy will help you avoid wasting HUNDREDS of dollars a year! You not liking some of the things in your bags is not a failure on Ipsy's part, that is a success! If you want full-size luxury products, you are going to have to fork out a lot more than $10/month. It is really sad that so many of you ladies just do not understand this.
They need to let people know there's a "WAITLIST" before making them sign up and enter their credit card info. I just cancelled my subscription, so hopefully they don't charge me.
Because of Ipsy I have tried products that I would have been skeptical to buy. I at least get to try it out and if I like it I can always go through the Ipsy site to get a % off.
I'm extremely disappointed with this subscription service. I used to watch Michelle Phan on youtube and thought I'd give this subscription a try. If you are Canadian the whole *$10.00* does not apply. Ipsy will charge you the $10.00 and then $4.95 ontop of that to ship to you. Don't forget that does not factor in the exchange rate. Once all is said and done, this *$10.00* monthly subscription with run you up to at least $20.00 / month. Of course their deceptive marketing however does not tell you any of this. As a Canadian I found Ipsy to be extremely deceiving and will never be returning. Oh and just an fyi cancelling their subscription is probably one of the dumbest processes I have ever seen.
If you are looking for a beauty box subscription, I would stick to Birchbox. At least they aren't so deceiving with their box / monthly payment.
Oh and the products? Birchbox and Ipsy are pretty comparable so watch / read your reviews before you subscribe unless you enjoy throwing away money. :')
I've been waiting for over a month for my (first) February glam bag to Canada. It is already March 6th and I haven't received Febs yet, but they have already taken out March's payment for the March glam bag. I see what's in the glam bag, and it is the things I did not want and asked not to get. Nothing takes over a month to get from USA to Canada, so it's obvious that this is sent from over seas first, since when tracking my package it says it has only been in transit from the USA for 6 days DHL is an awful courier service. I am canceling my subscription to Ipsy because it takes less time for me to get FREE samples from the actual companies that I want to try, than to pay to wait for this. This is NOT worth the wait for a few samples of products I didnt even want, and that are free everywhere else (samples are free, hence being called a sample)

None. I have been waiting for over a month for the glam bag
I order my first bag this month, and Im extremely annoyed about the outcome. Before I received my bag, I took the time and marked the products that I like and the products I dont like. Before my bag arrived I received a notification from the Ipsy app with the products I was going to received. I was supposed to get a sample of urban decay eyeliner, a blush, eyeshadow, and a makeup forever foundation sample. I clearly marked that I didnt want eyeliners especially black, they didnt bother to take this into consideration and sent one anyways. The eyeshadow was ok but it was Dollar store quality from a brand I never heard of in my life. The foundation sample I was supposed to received was missing, but what pissed me off the most was the blush I received. I clearly marked that I dont like pink blush, and of course I received a pink blush. The quality of this blush pushed of the edge, it was chalky and it looked horrible on, it did not blend at all. This blush looked like fake makeup you give to little kids to play with. I immediately cancel my subscription after this and started to look elsewhere. At the end of the day I pay $10 for a hideous makeup bag and little bags of powder cleanser. Ipsy is not worth it. Save you money and go elsewhere or just go to sephora and ask for samples. This subscription is overpriced and its disrespectful that they will send items that you told them you didnt want.
I look forward to this every month! It's not too late to sign up! I just upgraded to the plus, I couldn't help it!

I'd like to start first by saying I've been with Ipsy now for two years. Over these two years, I've had many problems. Missing bags, damaged products, missing products, billing issues, etc etc. For the first year, it was tolerable. They seemed to have good customer service and I was satisfied that even though I had issues, they were being quickly resolved. It seems to only get worse. When I started out, I got my glam bags around the 12th every month. If anything was wrong, they would respond to my email immediately and send a replacement. But now it takes days and days to get any kind of help. They assure people that if you missed the billing day (The 1st of each month) you will have plenty of time to get money in your account, but their policy on this seems to change monthly, sometimes you have until the 9th, or the 4th, or the 7th, it's never a set period of time you can rely on to get money in your account. And, I don't get my glam bags until between the 17th and the 26th now, depending on the month. Their rewards have gotten better, but overall, the experience of having an Ipsy sub is one where you have a problem nearly every single month (Which isn't acceptable with a company like this) and where they are less and less likely to resolve your issues. Oh, and don't forget how common it is for people to never even GET their glam bag! Just look at their facebook comments, it's flooded with people who have had that problem!
I am so sorry I ever signed up. Many repeat items, bad colors, some damaged, possibly used like it had been sent back. BEWARE.
I just joined ipsy and got my first glam bag and look at how it came so will be cancelling tomorrow. Touch money for it to look like that
Tip for consumers:
Better boxes for shipping I don't know if the blush. I had to throw away fell all over the floor when I opened it.

Just saying I did not get to use product see image. Pretty color.
I'm on my third month now. Great make up bags but a lot of the colors are not for me. I guess they really pay attention to the quiz :/
I am so excited to get my ipsy glam bag every month I literally wait for it. Some months are better than others but always worth the $10 per month!
I can not believe Ipsy. The ultimate box was suppised to be the next best thing. It was a total rip off nightmare. I am furious! I was supposed to receive 8 FULL SIZE PRODUCTS AND 4 DELUXE SIZED PRODUCTS. ENDED UP GETTING DUPED AND RECIEVED 4 SAMPLE SIZE AND ONLY A FEW FULL SIZE ITEMS. THE PRODUXTS WERENT EVEN GOOD. THEY WERE CHEAP AND POINTLESS. THE GLAM BAG PLUS BOX WAS BETTER AT HALF THE PRICE
IM IN THE PROCESS OF STARTING A CLAIM! NO JOKE... THE ONLY WAY THAT WONT HAPPEN IS IF THEY FIX IT WOTH A REFUND OR SOMETHING EQUAL TO THAT! THIS IS WRONG! PEOPLE, WE NEED TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS. ITS NOT OK!
Update: I found an email *******@IPSY.com address and got an automatic reply that they'll get back to me in 24 hours. I hope this email address works, if it does I'll give another update. I've been a loyal Ipsy Glam Bag customer for years and have loved most of their products. However, I recently realized that I have a whole box full of Ipsy stuff I haven't used yet, so I cancelled my subscription. After a couple of months, I decided to reactivate my account and I cannot sign up for the $12 Glam Bag anymore. Their options are the new Glam Bag Plus for $25/month and another one that's even more expensive. I (stupidly) signed up for the Glam Bag Plus, which I really didn't want, thinking that would open the way for me to switch back to the Glam Bag. Nope. Didn't happen. I'm now stuck in the Glam Bag Plus membership and there is NO WAY to opt out or cancel your membership. The have FAQs and you can supposedly email Ipsy but there's no email address that's valid and the phone number I found online for them is out of service *******526). I have no possible way to cancel or even suspend my account, and there's no way to contact a customer service representative. I don't want the upcoming Glam Bag Plus but it looks like I'm not going to have a choice. At this point I don't want Ipsy at all! WTF happened to them?
