I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
Just another site trying to get your personal information so they can sell it and nothing is free So beware
I've had nothing but good luck with my ipsy bags. I really like all the products and get excited every time I get to see what I'm getting.
My husband got me an ipsy subscription for christmas and so far I have received 2 ipsy bags. Both times it was exciting to look forward to receiving a mystery bag and enjoyed opening and seeing what was chosen for me. I will say that I am pretty low maintenance when it comes to makeup but over the past years use increasingly more products and try to work on skincare. So it's great when I get exposed to different products that are used in the market whether they are drug store quality or more high end. I also like that I don't have a million products to choose from and worry that i'm spending $50 on a big tube of foundation that I won't end up liking.
I think ipsy is best catered towards women who are experimenting with makeup and/or would like to gain more knowledge on what products are out there. It seems that many of the people who are not satisfied with what is in their bag are very clear on what they want so maybe it's time they move on and find services that will better meet their needs. Reviews are important but it's not good when you give bad reviews without acknowledging what kind of service the company promises. I was drawn to this company because of my lack of experience in using makeup. It's a shame if ipsy advertises to the more experienced user but cannot deliver, but at any rate for 10$ a month, it is a fantastic deal.
Then there are reviews of poor quality customer service, slow responses, and mistakes when it comes to punctual package arrivals. Although I have not experienced any of these problems, if these reviews are accurate it seems that ipsy may be expanding faster than they are able to handle. It may be a good idea for them to take a step back and really be sure about what services they are saying they can provide and focus their resources on providing the best service to their current customers and less on advertising that seems to be hurting their brand than helping it.
This company, Ipsy, does NOT have enough respect for their own paying customers to send them decent products for their money. I have subscribed to Ipsy for 2 1/2 years now and they get progressively worse each and every month. They continue to bombard me with repetitive products (same stuff every month). For instance, they tell you to fill out a profile of products you use and want to receive yet they DO NOT and WILL NOT send you the products you check on your profile as PREFERRING to receive. It's freaking useless. They pay no attention to the product reviews and continuously send you the very items you ask that you NOT be sent. It's almost like they are playing silly games with people. For instance, I have repeatedly in my reviews asked they not send me blush and nail polish. They absolutely send me blush and nail polish every single month. Why this is, I have no idea. They are ignorant, incompetent and stupid. Don't throw your money to this company. Try Sephora PlayBox or GlossyBox or a reputable business that is fair and respectful to the paying customer. I love Sephora Play and GlossyBox. They are GREAT. You don't have to deal with BS and, UNLIKE IPSY, they are run honestly and professionally. Sephora Play is only $10 a month and they send more products and better quality brands and you get great stuff for your money.
This is just one if my multiple bad experiences with ipsy. I'm curious if anything like this has happened to anyone else with Ipsy. I had a $5 ipsy Cash and decided to purchase one of their daily offers. I then got an email last night stating they canceled my order and wouldn't be refunding the $5 ipsy cash. I emailed them of course to try to figure out what happened... their response was that it was flagged as a fraudulent / unusual charge. I even called my cc company to make sure it wasn't from their end which is wasn't. It also isn't a new card, it's the same one I always use with ipsy. I'm beyond frustrated and to me it seems like they didn't want to honor the $5 ipsy cash. I haven't made an unusual amount of purchases from them either. I usually get something once a month if that. Has anyone else had an experience like this. I'm so frustrated, I don't know if there is anything else I can do. Also if it was flagged why not contact me personally before canceling my order?!? *UPDATE* I'm really in shock right now. So basically when I pushed further to find out what the reason was for them flagging & canceling my order for being fraudulent their response was basically due to their company policy that they couldn't release the information... it's my account WTH! I even responded that to them & this was their response
"As my colleague mentioned, your order was deemed fraudulent per our internal checks at ipsy; I'm sorry that I'm unable to share further info. "
I'm seriously almost to the point of canceling both of my subs from them.
I'm reading reviews of people who clearly are mis-informing individuals about the subscription. After hearing some of my friends subscribed and were getting some interesting products in their bags I thought I would give it a try. When i first went to register is put me on a wait list. It does take all your information and confirms you will never be charged until you're off the wait list and will receive your first bag. You can get off the wait list by sharing them on social media or by just "waiting." I chose to wait and about 2 months later I received an email confirmation i was off the wait list and would receive my first bag.
I have now been subscribed for 6 months with no issues. I have had a bag or a few items here or there that i didn't like but they're great for re-gifting, or trading with friends, family, or online. You really do get quite a bit of full size items from the subscription which makes the value of them excellent. I am subscribed to a few other beauty subscriptions and this one is still by far one of my favorites. I change my survey after every bag I receive to modify it to my liking, and I review every product I get. They seem to be bang on with my selection on products and I feel that people who complain they're not getting what they want is probably because they haven't filled out the survey correctly.
You really can't just pick one category because if they happen not to have any products in your one selection they're going to guess the next best thing. I always select more then one option so that if my first choice isn't a product available at least maybe my second or third would be given.
I recommend people to give a try - and not to listen to people's bitter and impatient remarks/reviews on this site. I don't understand why people are complaining about sharing on social media, no one is making you share it but then you have to wait it's part of the game. You can always go back on social media and remove it once you post any ways what's the big deal? I waited - good things are worth waiting for.
I received an email stating my ipsy was delivered but I have yet to receive it. How do I cancel all together and get me money back?
My daughter got me hooked on Ipsy, now I don't know how I did without it, haven't been unhappy with anything I've gotten so far, but November's bag has definitely been my favorite
My ipsy bag is just wonderful! The products are awesome and well, well worth every dime I have spent.
Don't get it there, received 4 things in the plus bag, not customer service, none where my color. The
I sooo wish I had done more research and found this site!
I was sick and had time on my hands and my credit card number memorized. So what's a girl to do? Shop!
I found a list of beauty boxes on Flipboard and decided to give it a whirl.
I ordered ipsy and Birchbox. Birchbox sent me a box asap-and I loved it for $10. With ipsy, I got an email telling me I'm on a "waiting list". Seriously?! Why do you offer your product and then say you don't have it!
I got an email that my second Birchbox was on its way and that's when I decided enough. I went to my account-as prescribed by them if you want to cancel and I couldn't get it done! It would take a book to explain all that went wrong and I could not get it cancelled. So, I contacted ipsy "no customer service"-a complete run around. After sending an email asking them to unsubscribe me-I get an email back saying it might be days. And on and on.
I finally got in touch with American Express and found that they had put the $110 charge through so I not only disputed the charge-I paid $9 to a third party company to get it cancelled. I could have waited for Amex to do it and I'm so fed up I wanted it over NOW! It is finally cancelled.
Lesson learned-reasearch!
I was trying to cancel my subscription for this month as I don't have the funds for it. I was trying to accomplish this before 1pm mountain time since it's the deadline and I didn't want to be charged the $10 for September (I was planning on re-subscribing in October). I went online and tried to cancel multiple times but I never recieved an email to finalize the cancellation process, so I emailed IpsyCare and the person I spoke with said that my email was not registered to a subscription account which is complete bull because I use that email to log into my ipsy account and I even sent her/him a screenshot of my account information listing my email address. I don't know if Ipsy is just money hungry and wanted to slow my cancellation process down to insure that they would get the $10 for September or if the people working at IpsyCare just don't know how to do their job. Either way, I'm not renewing my subscription. This is ridiculous and there needs to be a better system for people that want to cancel.
I enjoyed ipsy my first year but their samples kept getting smaller and smaller and worse and worse and the second year I made the error of not cancelling on time and then I thought I cancelled after this and they billed $118 for the 3rd year when I thought I cancelled. They send you through this loophole and a game trying to cancel your account. I thought it was cancelled and got charged for another year! Its such crap. They try to post about their legal notice BS about it that they warn you to cancel before the first of the month or whatever but really doesnt work for you when you they autorenew you for an entire year and when you hit cancel and then click the confirmation link they send you in your email to cancel you just go in circles on their website. Currently it seems the only way out now for me is disputing with my credit card company. DO NOT SIGN UP DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. THEY WILL CONTINUE TO KEEP CHARGING EVEN AFTER YOU CANCEL!
This company is the worst
My product arrived, opened and with no receipt
If you have any issues, you can't get in touch with customer service
I wanted to try Ipsy because I don't like spending big money on luxuries (like makeup), but this gave me an opportunity to try some at a more affordable price. I signed up for the subscription and was prompted with a message that said if I shared said subscription on my social media pages, I would not be placed on a waiting list... So you want me to provide you with FREE marketing for me to receive a product that I have yet to even try for my self?! I don't think so! I'm not going to testify/support a product, company, whatever, that I have no experience with... So I was placed on the waiting list, and at first, I was fine with it, but after a month passed, I got suspicious since I didn't hear anything, but was still receiving their emails. Just for s's and giggles, I checked my bank account one day, and wouldn't you know it... THEY BILLED ME FOR A BAG I DID NOT RECIEVE! Nor did they even tell me I wasn't on the waiting list anymore. I contacted them to be removed from the subscription and to get a refund. Their response: your bag is set to be shipped in a few days. Once you receive your Glam Bag, you may send it back unopened for a full refund, and of course I would have to pay for the return postage. >:/
I decided to keep my bag (just to be done with it!). The items I did receive were good products, but because of their shoddy customer service, I will be exploring other monthly beauty subscriptions. Oh!... and to top it off, the day after I cancelled my subscription, they had the gull to send me a "We miss you" email. Ipsy can suck it!
I found better value with other subscription services (my favorite is play by sephora which is also $10).
I use high end cosmetics on a daily basis... usually i adore my ipsy bag! My Tartiest mascara SUCKED... I use high end cosmetics and LOVE my ipsy bag... this mascara SUCKED...
Ipsy-I am so so very disappointed in January 2018 Glam Bag this month! The lip color you sent was awful-Pumpkin colored! And, no samples sent!
I've only been subscribed to IPSY for a month and I'm already so done with them. My first bag suddenly disappeared from the app so I had to send them an e-mail to ask where my bag was. Fortunately they replied right away and sent me a tracking number. I was able to receive this order yesterday.
But I have two other orders that I still have NOT received because of "insufficient address" which makes absolutely no sense as they were able to send me my glam bag. I e-mailed customer service about this and they told me that the apartment number was missing from my address. Again, this makes no sense as I was able to receive a package from them in my mailbox (which has my apartment number on it). I told them my address was complete but their representative insisted that they "verified" my address and that it did not have my apartment number. So at this point they're just trying to place the blame on me. Not only that, they're making me contact the carrier myself. I tried contacting the carrier and they told me to contact IPSY. So who's gonna help me? I still have two orders pending from them plus the glam bag for this month. I'm asking for a refund for the two orders because I don't want to give them my money after all the stress they put me through but they haven't responded. I tried to get my bag for the month cancelled as well but they don't do refunds. I think it says a lot about them that they don't do refunds. All in all they are just very inefficient and have AWFUL customer service. Insisting I didn't put the correct address, really? Just admit you're wrong and give me a refund. See photos for reference. FedEx - the one I received. DHL - the one with "insufficient address". Email - customer service not being helpful at all and just insisting that my address is incomplete.
Let me start with I never confirmed my first subscription. I opened a new window and started reading the reviews. I decided it wasn't for me and closed the window before completing so j thought. Anyhow I later received an email saying it should arrive soon. I thought what the hell got excited and waited for it to arrive. I gave up on it and forgot by the time it finally did. Which was the 27th. What a wait and for what eyeliner that disappeared right after applying it I think right into my eyeball. Although I must say it wasn't black all over my face. Oil I was excited about even though it says to try for thirty days to see the difference. The bottle was tiny might last four if I stretch especially means u can try on hair dry skin and wrinkles. Not sure where to start. I don't have my bag beside me as I write this review so I couldn't tell you what the other items were which is to show how impressed I am about them. As for canceling I hope I did right everybody needs to keep their profile open after canceling. Which it says. It will say active status. Open separate email go to site ipsy s email says open confirm and than pull up you profile again on ipsy refresh and it should say status not active. That is when you know you did it right. I will be putting a stop to all charges hereafter. I canceled last night. 12-28-16 now if I am billed I than know what these others are saying is true. If not they should probably go back through the steps carefully.
I changed from recieving products from Birchbox to recieving products from Ispy. Im getting the clam bag and been happy until 1 of the 5 products a moisturizer I received this month has effected my eye's so bad. The first time I used the moisturizer it hurt my eye's so bad I could barely open them all day, so I thought I got it in my eye's but the next day I used it I was very careful not to get in my eyes, but It did the same thing, im sitting here now barely able to write this cause today is my second day of using the moisturizer and ive washed my eyes out several times today and still having problems so im going to the eye dr tomorrow to make sure there is no damage. Ipsy not very kind or caring of their customers, I went to Chat with one of the reps bout my concern and if others have complained of this product but I was offered to join a chat room to talk to other customers for $5, wow! Slap my face. No more chat rooms for me, they could of act concern atleast.
Maybe I should go back back to Birchbox. Trust me Ispy doesn't care to loose a customer, im sure i will have a hard time canceling.
Yes i got a small eyeshadow... The full size is 40$. A sample lipliner... The full size is 30$ so the small sizes are 20$ items. Thats how brands like that are anyway. Even full sizes arent economy large, bulk products. If u want that then spend the 15$ on drugstore makeup and buy like 2 full size things instead of 5 or 6 samples with a makeup bag. Btw, where im from paper bags are like 30¢ now so the total will be $15.30. When i felt monthly was too much i went to the button that changes options to every other month or even less. The site doesnt have much to it so navigating is easier then most sites ive been too recently. I even canceled my subscription for the last year or so. I didn't wait till the time of month they draft the bill. I forget if its beginning or end but they list it all over. I canceled right after that month was sent and my account was charged. I chatted online w them and canceled it no problem. Well there was a problem but it was my own. See i accidentally signed up w 2 accounts and i had to find the sogn in to both active to cancel one i didn't want. I cant foresee issues for anyone being responsible and proactive w accounts
