I came in here to shout out the IPSY customer service. I have been a loyal IPSY user for 6+ years. The basic glam bag is plenty for me since I like to try items before I buy full size. Throughout the years I have had some problems with items (wrong shade, lost packages, late delivery, etc) and they have compensated those issues promptly and with understanding. Just recently was looking through the app and realized I never got my September package. They quickly replied to my issue and promptly sent me a new package with the same (or similar) items. 10/10 on the customer service!
I joined back up for Ipsy Glam Bag. The price is now a total of $7 more per month and the items were pathetic! I wound up canceling after 2 bags. What a shame that something that I was once so good has gotten disgraceful. A big waste of money!
I moved in September 2019. I been trying to change my address with them and can't seem to get that done. I received my September bag but none since. I have now paid for October, November and December bags and not received any of them. I've now tried to cancel and that is a nightmare! STAY AWAY! OH plus they went up on my price in July without any notification from $10 to $13.95. Not worth that!
Hello anyone currently subscribed to IPSY or thinking about starting a membership, do NOT do it. IPSY has taken over 100$ out of my account for the past four months and I have not received a single package! This is ridiculous. I have spoken to 4 different people about same problem and not a single person has gotten back to themselves. They refuse to give me my money back! If I had known this would happen, IPSY would have never gotten my business. I hope everyone reading this does not begin a membership. They do not care about their customers.
Let me start by saying I like this company. They regularly send great products and awesome sample sizes. By filling out your profile and reviewing products, they can tailor each gift bag for you and you end up getting stuff you love. HOWEVER, this is an issue if you're Canadian like me. I LOVE some of the products I get, and then find out that they can't be shipped to Canada. Also, the exchange rate just isn't worth it anymore.
I reviewed my items in cosmetic bag monthly with each bonus item being 1000 points and once every blue month there is a 500 point item which sells out immediately and so you loose your points as they provide nothing to redeem, I did my last review last month. B... S. They emailed me back as I complained with a boo hoo so sorry you lost your points like I was a child.
They took money like they said on the first of the month and that my product will be delivered sometimes in the middle of the month. Which it did. I love trying new things as for I'm a makeup fanatic. I like my glam bag this month and looking forward to receiving more products. Thank you Ipsy!:-)
I received, as many do, the offer to try IPSY. That was early March, this is mid-April & still no Ipsy bag. Made the mistake of ordering a couple of extras for $5 ea & received them, still no bag. THEN I realized no tracking number. Customer service was in constant contact with me via email (there is NO phone number), they did have that going for them. I was promised my bag was in a lot going out soon. I got impatient. Long, long story short, I received a refund & told them I did NOT want their bag. Didn't think it existed. Was told when it arrived to keep with their compliments. It's mid-April... it doesn't exist. But I did get my refund. Next time I'll do MY homework better & make sure there's a phone number attached to the company. I'm just saying.
Like so many others I Cancel my subscription and was still getting charge as of this morning ( Nov 1,2019)... there's No to really contact them through Phone, nor email
I would not recommend them to friends or family... one way or another I'm going to get refunded through my bank or my local News station - Shameful
I've been talking to the bot for more than an hour. Can't reset to gain access to cancel. They stopped supporting Facebook login, which is the only way I've ever logged in and now I cannot log in. I'm mad mad!
Tip for consumers:
The worst customer experience. Even the internet couldn’t help me get ahold of a helpful phone number, email, or any way of resolution.

Had the subscription for a while, problem comes when you want to cancel.
I have been with ipsy through some growing pains. They have always had some issues with customer service and I think that is a trend I have seen with some if not most companies.
It seems no one has a phone or customer service. Email becomes one source or social media. I believe through reviews Ipsy has greatly improved its support and response time has been better.
The good is getting new products that are curtailed to your likes mostly and can seemly be one of the few subscriptions to do it to a point. If you can spare 12.00 - I think it is a fun extra and way to try new products without spending the major bucks on ones you are throwing away because they don't work or just don't like.
The bad is NOT getting what you ordered, email back and forth with customer service, and at times getting duplicates.
Out of all of them - IPSY has most of the time good. I give them credit for doing a pretty good job! :D
Tip for consumers:
1) Have fun but watch buying products other than monthly-often out of stock or missing
2) Free shipping- and good way to explore new products

I cancelled my membership and received an email confirming the cancellation but they kept charging my account monthly. I tried to reach out to them but was unable to reach anyone. They did not return my emails either. I had to call my credit card and dispute the charges. They sure make it easy to join but a nightmare to cancel. Also, the product you get for the price is not at any discount. I highly recommend not getting yourself into a membership unless your ready to be locked in for life or spend your precious time getting it resolved.
I was an ipsey member and their products were cheap, broke me out, and just werent really worth it. Fav. Was always the little purse. I cancelled and went with Boxy Charm a while later and like them SO MUCH BETTER! It is unfortunate that Ipsy bought them out and shut them down since they could not compete because now mostly my boxes suck again. Not really good name brands --I got MAC and other top brands when Boxy ran the show. It is a shame they did not find a way to retain the products/merchants or at least enough of them so we could continue to enjoy. I will give it a couple more boxes...but...
Tip for consumers:
Yes, Please bring BOXYCHARM BACK! the REAL one!

Not really any since Ipsy took over with the few exceptions here and there.
You can go to Macy's, Sephora, Dillard's or ultra and get samples for free. Compared to $15 for what you get in this bag, (everything is samples in this bag) it is so not worth it. I used to get this years ago and you got a lot more in your bag and better products. I started back up again and NO! I just canceled my membership as soon as I receive this bag I will not continue to do this. Sorry but not sorry.
Tip for consumers:
That everything is a sample in the $15 bag. Just remember you can go to the department store and get FREE samples!!!

I sprayed the perfume it stinks. I like the hand lotion.
One of my packages came open. I was charged for a bag but never received it. When I tried to cancel my account, I never received the cancellation link. This company is disgusting! Do not waste your money.
Ipsy is by far the worst company! They take your money and don't send your product! The only reason I gave them 1 star is because I had to to write a review. I am not one to ever write reviews so by me writing this review must mean that I'm extremely pissed off at the company! Trust me don't sign up! It's a night mare to cancel!
Tip for consumers:
Don't use! They'll take your money and not send you what you purchase

I have been trying to cancel my membership for some time now. I have gotten absolutely no where with this company. Sure they describe "How to Cancel Membership", but it does not work. All you end up doing is going in circles. Nothing but spinning your wheels. When I have written to them, I have been completely ignored! I have heard nothing back from them regarding my complaint about not being able to cancel my membership, but they are all over sending me emails telling me that they have shipped another bag which I do not want! I have had it and that is why I am hear trying to save others from this stupid waste of time, and all the aggravation! Do not order this stuff. The samples are small, and totally not worth what they charge!
I've emailed Ipsy customer service 3 times with no response back from them. I've been trying to cancel for the past 2 months and finally cancelled successfully and received the email confirmation. But I'm still being charged monthly fee! Ipsy has been a nightmare, worst, worst customer service ever! I want it CANCELLED!
I got 4 bags total. The only reason I un-subscribed is because I'm in supply with the products! Customer care responded quickly when I wanted to cancel. I always received my bags on time with a mixture of items varying from face creams, scrubs, eye shadow, lipstick/lipgloss, brush, perfume, nail polish, etc. If you use make-up often, this will be fun for you and is worth the $10. I don't understand why many people are putting IPSY on BLAST. If you want better quality products, then shop for them somewhere else. Don't expect that Smashbox will be in your bag every month. Overall, it's worth trying! :)
I would say it's the worst customer service but I can't because there isn't ANY! Why have a phone number if you can speak to anyone?
I have signed up for one ungraded boxy charm box and only been receiving one a month. You have been billing me for 2 since April. And this is on top of the glam box. 1st of the month I have been getting billed for 2 boxy charm and 1 glam box.
This adds up to over $200 USD that you have taken from me.
I have now sent over 6 emails to their supposed "support" team.
I subscribed to ipsy about two months ago and I have yet to receive any bag! I've been charged for both of them but here we are close to the end of June and I still haven't got any. I have been trying to find a way to contact ipsy but you can't find it on the website and I can't find a way to cancel my account either. It's all pretty shady if you ask me. Don't subscribe /:
Please, no one waste their time or money on this hack service. It really sounds like a neat idea... except it's a scam. I joined Ipsy 3 years ago but only recently signed up for the Glam Bag subscription. Mistake! I received my supposed shipping label for my November glam bag for tracking purposes, but it either never shipped or was lost, because the shipping information never updated and Ipsy couldn't explain what had happened to it. But instead of solving my problem, their customer service chastised me for sending more than one response while trying to solve THEIR problem! So now I'm out the November bag, just in time for the December one to ship. Also, word to those disgruntled as I: It will take about 7 steps to cancel your subscription, and even then you're not cancelled till you accept their automated email. Such a disappointment, as I heard many good things... guess you really can't believe everything you hear.
I really love this company. It's a great idea. This is my monthly gift to myself. The bags are adorable and over time I've replaced my make-up collection. And have gotten nail polish, face washes, hair conditioner, etc. This service is inexpensive and it gives you the chance to try new things. I've really liked some products that I've received that I normally wouldn't have bought. They might not get it completely right with every product they send u. But I'd say on average I have loved 4 out of 5 things in my bag. The only complaint I ever had was being able to claim my free gifts before they sold out. I did write them about it and got a response right away. I also noticed that they have added more things in that free gift category. So what I complained about has improved. I would definitely recommend ipsy to anyone who loves make-up.
A friend of mine told me about Ispy and I instantly wanted the goodies for myself too. I love trying new products but hate spending way too much for something that in the end I may never use again. So this to me was perfect!
I started the sign up process on their site, answered the beauty questionaire, and just as I was about to give my credit card info I thought to myself... I better take a look at some reviews. Was I ever glad I did! Thank you all that posted and saved me the hassle! Sounds like it might be ok here and there, but with poor customer service and too many hits and misses... its just not worth my time. Thank you but I'll keep my 10 bucks!
I posted this on Ipsy's Facebook 5 days ago and no response
I posted on your Facebook as I'm still getting no response. I posted this last Thursday.:
Yesterday my whole personal email contact list got over 300 emails each from you saying I was referring them. I had no way to contact anyone- I emailed 3 times with no reply. People were getting these on their work computer as I did too. I don't know what happened but I wonder more why no one will get back to me
I love and look forward to my bag coming every month! What I don't use, I put away for stocking stuffers at Christmas! I think the negative reviews are ridiculous! Perhaps the customer service could be better but right now I'm a happy camper!
I canceled 2 years ago due to piss poor quality, quantity, and total lack of follow through with customer complaints. I was in formed that the company was overhauled, and everything had improved. Well apparently NOT, I've been billed for 3 bags, and have yet to receive anything. Do yourself a favor ~ stay away from this scam, and inform others to do the same.
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from this company ~ totally lack of concern about clients ~ zero customer service

I’ve been billed for THREE bags, and haven’t received anything.
