I am a broke college student trying to complete my final year of college in online classes. One of my classes I need a sewing machine for, so I ordered a nicer one online after calling the JoAnn's store, because they told me sewing machines are sold by a separate company inside the store and they were hard to reach. I placed my order July 24th, and it is now August 14th. I start classes in 3 days and have not received my package. There has been no update to my package location. The tracking number says "Not Found" when I search through FedEx. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have tried to contact customer service multiple times and haven't heard anything back. After reading everyone else's responses, I think it's pretty clear I will not be receiving a sewing machine anytime soon. Thank you, JoAnn's, for causing this broke college student to throw money down the drain and be left struggling days before to find something I need. Never shopping here again, and neither should any of you.
Every single time I try to order online, my entire order disappears & says my cart is empty. I usually try to make a big order so there will be 30+ items in my cart. The site is beyond slow & who has time to start over to reload their cart? Joann always misses a big sale. They need to hire some IT help to run their site better.
I have bought yarn and crochet hooks from Joann's. I signed up for the emails because I read you could get good deals that way. I don't live anywhere near a Joann store, so online is the only way to go for me (and, I wouldn't risk shopping in-store anyway -- they have a curbside option). I have ordered 2 times from them -- yarn and crochet hooks. The orders arrived in good condition and quickly enough.
I love this store they keep me informed of all sales. And they send me great coupons for my purchases. Never have to spend regular prices. I create earrings and bracelets and learning how to be a quilter, so i get all supplies at great deal prices at JOANN'S
I ordered on April 20th. My items are being cancelled one at a time every 3 or 4 days. I only have one item left in stock, but I don't need if I can't have everything else too! They're not responding to emails so I'm left in limbo. I need to the items, but I'm afraid that if I order it from somewhere else, they'll finally ship it out!
I ordered from Joann Fabric store online since we have none close to home. I paid 53 for a bolt of interfacing... maybe 3 yards was wadded up and put in a bag! I paid 53 bucks for a bolt not this! Then call to ask if my order may have gotten mixed up and was made to feel like an idiot that didn't know what I was talking about. Costumer service is very poor! I never will shop one even if they move next door. I would've gladly given Joann Fabric my money if they had integrity and cared for their costumers. Such a shame!
They send out a flyer with sewing machines on sale that are not even available anywhere. They have machines in store that are not listed online but won't sell them because they won't list them. I need a machine but won't go back to this place lousy customer service
Do they not care that their website functions worse than one from 1998? Super buggy and keeps making me press some button to prove I'm not a bot. Then when I tried to place an order using the exact same stored payment and address I used for previous orders, it keeps saying my address and payment method can't be verified. I tried two different browsers without luck. Finally my boyfriend tried, using the EXACT SAME ADDRESS and was able to order. Not to mention the reason I'm placing this order is because two items were MARKED SHIPPED and shared a tracking number with a bunch of other items, but they were MISSING from the box. When I contacted customer service, they claimed those items had been cancelled due to being out of stock. Liar. The status is "shipped" not "cancelled" and the *#@!% items are STILL on your website, in stock, and available to order. There's something wrong with these people and their website. Absolute trash and I will never shop here again.
I was looking at sergers on joanns web sight. They sent me a 25 percent off coupon with pictures of the sergers I looked at. So I decided to go ahead and order one. But they do not accept coupons for sewing machines. Very deceiving.
I ordered my items on Nov 28th. Expecting my items to arrive in time for my child's b day on the 5th of dec. Checked, nothing had been shipped! It didn't get ship until Dec 11th! Then tracking states that I would receive it today Dec 11th but NOPE! I still did not receive it! I'm furious. Called CS and was put on hold forever! Decided to just better hang up then waste anymore time! First and Last I will ever order from here again!
I bought some Molds and decided this is not what i wanted so the same day like hours later i wanted to cancel the order. Will they say by email i can't cancel unless it like 10 min. After order. Now they say i have wait get my order and then ship back. Which just going cost me more money for something i do not need. So to me this is a bad company to do business with.
There used to be more than a couple of fabric stores and there used to be good customer service. I applied for a part time job with Joann's a couple of years ago. The Manager, A MAN wanted to give me a job but asked me if minimum wage was a deal breaker! I walked. I go into Joann's only when I absolutely need to. I have been shorted yardage. Clerks have failed to give me all of my bags, Thus leaving some of my items, forcing me to return. Good customer service has become a thing of the past just like fabric stores. I am 57 years old. All of the women in my family have sewn. My great grandmother taught sewing classes for Singer for 20 years. I wish more people would learn the art and bring back the need for more fabric stores. JOANN's doesn't have enough competition and doesn't feel the need to train their employee's good customer service skills and compensate them fairly.
I love Joann, but the website is ALWAYS super slow. Ordered some great yarn today at discount prices. Can't wait to receive, but it took 2 and 1/2 hours to pick out 4 skeins of yarn - and I have fast wi-fi and 5G! Please, please fix the website speed. Thanks!
Made an order with an authorized credit card, same billing and shipping address, phone number to verify and follow up with emails to request confirmation of a cancelled order and still unable to complete order. Waste of time, I will find the items elsewhere.
I lodged a complaint about a rude clerk and the manager allegedly spoke to her but in the same breath he said she was tired so her tiredness must have affected her behavior. Then on a follow up call, he stated that the clerk admitted to her behavior. I told the manager I would not return to that store. Preferring to patronize a different Joanne Fabrics. To summarize and this I told the manager: all it takes is one employee to treat the customer poorly-- translating in losses of profit that affect that store.
I returned a roll of yarn and requested a credit to my card, just prior to the store closing per State direction. The manager stated that was not possible but he issued a store credit instead. In attempting to place an online order, the store credit was not allowed. That was followed by a call to the store and spoke to one of the employees. They stated store credit could not be used over the phone, nor could they accept the store credit at the time of pick up. Although these are unusual times, there must be a means for the store to honor their own credit. Their average rating is 1.52 but this experience causes my rating to be 1.0 or less. The merchandise is generally quite good but unless they correct poor customer service, I will award my business to other merchants.
I Ordered custom fabric. Website said 7-10 days and allow 2-4 extra days since coming from supplier. By the 10th business day I had not heard anything. I called and was told I would have it by the 14th business day. I did not. Then they gave me 3 more different dates and I still don't have it. They won't give me a refund and this was for a production at my school. I'm out the money. Also, once I asked for a refund then they created a shipping label and told me it shipped but didn't actually ship it until 5 days later. This company is a joke. Never again.
I had to go to my bank to dispute a debit card charge on an online pick up order they canceled on the same day because it was not in stock. They charged my debit visa card the amount of the order two days after the order. I tried for 3 weeks with customer service to have them refund the amount with no luck. I was told to go to my bank and have them release the money back to me. My bank told me there was no hold on the money and it was paid to Joann's. I am disappointed with the level of customer service I was given using the app and email. I felt I only got the "canned answers" from "Samantha" over and over about they never charge anyone after they cancel an order. She didn't even try to investigate of help saying there could be a mistake. I tried to go to them to help solve the problem... I should have just been a jerk and gone to my bank first to dispute it.
2 days ago I went to my local joann's and purchased 6 packages of black binding tape, using all my coupons. Today when I went to start my project I realized that I had purchased.25 inch vs.50 inch. I went back to the store today asking if I could exchange them for the correct size, the gal said no problem and returned the money to my card. I went and found what I needed and brought them to the same cashier. She rang them up and it was $5 and some change, higher than my original purchase! I asked why and was told it was because I didn't have coupons for this sale. Unbelievable!

What kind of cheap crap is JoAnn Fabrics doing! At one time you were able to use as many coupons that were applicable for your purchase. Ex: 20% off total purchase, $10.00 if you spend $50.00 or more and your Military Discount. Now you have gotten so cheap you can only use one coupon at a time! What is worse is if you do use a discount coupon you cannot use your Military Discount! How unpatriotic is that! Evidently your CEO is a pansy who has never served in the Military, Shame on you.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
