I'd like to give a huge thank you and the Joann Fabrics in Saugus, Ma for their amazing service and attitude during our project in Peabody. We are in the middle of a large headboard upboosting project and we were literally driving like mad from one store to another purchasing one specific color of vinyl. Let me tell you how incredible the General Manager, Cathy was at this store when we shared our stress. She called all the stores and had them shipped that particular color to her store so we could pick up all available inventory every few weeks. My god! What ease. She and her team... not to mention offering us the 20% off discount on top of the purchase! We are only 1/3 complete our project but thanks to the Joann Fabrics Saugus team led by Cathy, we know we have a partner we can rely on! Love the service and will continue to give Cathy and her team our business! Thank you from the Holiday Inn Peabody. You guys Rock! That's how its done.
Just had the unfortunate "pleasure" to shop at the Mpoac, Austin Joann Fabric store. In all fairness, the lady who helped me at the counter where they do measurements and cutting was very nice and helpful. Even told me to download their app so I can get a discount. All I bought was a piece of foam - approx 24" by 80" and 3" thick. Since this was not a sale item, I was under the impression that I'll get a 40% discount (that's what the app promoted "40% off any one regular-priced item". When I should this discount voucher - on their app - to the (very rude) lady at the checkout counter, she simply said nope, it's not for that item. But here comes the shocker (for me at least) - I had to pay $151 for the item. In retrospect I should have also said "nope". But foolish me paid that price since I really needed the piece of foam... today.
So, to sum it all up - total ripoff! Will never do business with JoAnn Fabric again - ever.
Received a gift card to find out when I tried to use it online they would not accept it. When asked if they could send the items I wanted to the store (because they are not in the store, the reason I went online) they said no. I would recommend never purchasing a gift card from JoAnn Fabric and I will now go anywhere else but JoAnn to make my fabric & craft purchases. This is the way companies go out of business because of zero customer service and rudeness when working with people.
I tried them my phone and by email. My order got BLOWN OFF. And I never even talked to anyone. I did sit on hold 4 days in a row. The company is F- on Customer Service. DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM. Unbelievable waste of time and money. They had my money for over a week. They never contacted me.
Went to try and get materials here for a DIY Headboard as a fun weekend project... but turned out that the store clerks were the walking braindead. The floor clerk was terrible and could not calculate or make a bill correctly for a yard of material. Then the cashier clerk told us that "it was too much work" for her to figure out how apply the discounts to products we bought from the store. LOL $#*!tiest experience ever at a store! (why is there no option to rate for 0 star?)
I recently ordered three yards of fabric from the Joann website. They sent it to me in two different pieces. It was important to my project that it be one full piece. When I explained to their customer service they screwed me over, that they should warn people that your fabric may come in two different pieces, they said they did nothing wrong because they sent me the amount I ordered and told me to do a return. They don't understand their own business and how frustrating it is when you don't get what you ordered. I shouldn't have to drive out to their closest store to do a return/exchange when they are the ones who messes up.
I went to the Santa fe New Mexico store- one clerk for cutting and one at the register- both incompetent- walking around looking for things and prices while people were waiting... Spend the extra $ and go to a quilt store!
I am very disgusted with jo Ann fabric online. Took almost 3 weeks for my first items to ship. I received items one or 2 at a time. When I received my stuff it was nothing like I had purchased in the store. It looked like something u would find in a discounted outlet store. Some of things I wanted to order was out of stock understandable but the stuff I did order stated it was in stocks only to be canceled after waiting so long, when I could have gone to another store and purchased but now can't get. I will never order again nor will I recommend anyone.
This is the last straw for me, JoAnn. Gift card from my mother in law appeared to work online, but then wouldnt let me complete the purchase, so I went to the store where they told me it had no balance. Making me ask my MIL for the receipt is a low blow JoAnn! This is the second time I've had a similar problem with gift cards. Do NOT buy one! Agree with other commenters that JoAnn customer service is bad. I'm done shopping there.
Stood in line for 30 minutes for one fabric to be cut, the lady in front had 50. Then I was told I needed to pull some number and wait to be called. No clue this needed done. I was about to lay my one piece down and leave, but the lady said she would cut my one piece, then I had to go to front of store and wait again for 15 min again to pay. 45 min checkout process, I will never return here again!
Council Bluffs IA store. I went to the store last week. It was so sad to see the sweetest cut counter lady (Monica) was by her self with a line of 6 people... Then i went up front to see 3 cashiers with no customers just gabbing and giggling. As i checked out one of the 3 girls that were hanging out up there asked if it was raining. I said yes as my shirt was wet. And not 1 one went to save the carts of items that was outside getting ruined. Been at this store many times and this last year it has been getting dirty and staff is getting younger and inattentive.
As others have stated don't expect anything you order to actually arrive... ever. No notice from the company nothing. You just have to check your credit card charges and poof the charge is gone your order no longer exists. Fabric.com is the way to go!
Joann's Fabric Peoria, il... Claims you can pick up your order in parking lot. Do to Covid-19... instructions to phone store. On arrival... Good Luck with that... they will not answer the phone... when inside to get my order noticed the phone ringing... without being answered?
My most recent Joann.com order was a disaster. The only thing Joann was able to send correctly was the bias tape. When it came to the fabric, boy, was it a mess! The first piece of fabric I ordered was sent in two, two-yard pieces instead of the four-yard piece I ordered, but I only got one of the two-yard pieces. Apparently, they send you the biggest amount they have left on the bolt if they fulfill your order near the end of a bolt. They also never sent one of the fabrics I ordered. I had to call customer service and it is under investigation. I am so disappointed in Joann.com and I will not be ordering from them again.
Joanne fabric use to be my craft store I'd go to for all my crafting needs but since Covid19 they've been sinking quickly. Service isn't what it use to be. Most employees are rude, if you ask them a question it seems like your bothering them and yes I have gone to many of their stores and it's the same at each and every one. I use to order items and would use their coupons but now none of them work most of the time so now I go elsewhere unfortunately. If you'd go into the stores they use to let you use more then one coupon but that hasn't happened in a few years. It's a shame they use to be the best in treating their customers but not lately. So I go elsewhere now.
I ordered many things and paid $8 for shipping, I received two shipments and I kept waiting for the third to arrive with the fabric and one other things that I had ordered. I decided to send a ticket through their online system and only received an automated response that I would receive a response in 24-48 hours, 5 days later I called them.
Turns out the items I was waiting on were out of stock, so they were automatically canceled, but I was never told about it. So, now I'm three days out from a baby shower with no time to get to the store for the fabric I was going to use to make burp cloths and other gifts. I thought almost 3 weeks was enough time to receive the fabric and make the items, but I guess not.:-/
They did refund the shipping, but only after I suggested it and now I'm still stuck in a rut because of them.
I ordered an order for Christmas ribbon to wrap my holiday gifts with in NOVEMBER the shipping was awful with part of my order received just days before Christmas and then the rest of my order was cancelled. I reached out to their customer service number multiple times without ever getting any updates to when my order would ship. I will never shop with this company ever again.
I ordered and paid for fabric at Joann's in Greenville, SC on April 12th. Called on 04/26 to check on the order, was told it had not arrived yet, even after they told me it would only take 2 weeks. Called again today May 6h and was told that the fabric was never ordered.
Totally incompetent staff, will never go there again for anything. Trying to call Corporate Office and have been on hold for over 10 minutes... probably will not get anywhere there either. Total waste of time! Total incompetent staff in Greenville, SC store.
This company is a farce! They aren't truthful with their customers. They let you believe you can use the coupons they have on their app but only at times. They play games with the customers. I did an online order to pick up store that went through. A little later it gets canceled. I even went in the store to see if they had it and they did. This has happened several times. The stores are always disorganized. And no one can give you a reason why these things happen in the stores. Very poor business! Michaels is way more respected.
I would like to thank the store at 6910 S Lindbergh Blvd, St Louis, Mo 63125! They are always there to help you without any of the games that other stores play; ex: Joanns in Ballwin, Mo. I live by the Ballwin store but I will make the drive as much as possible to the Lindbergh one. When they show a number of yarn pieces in their store and you order it; that's what you get. Joanns Company's website was down and that seems to happen a lot. Especially if they're offering a good discount/ coupons etc. But Abbe was such a Angel and told me not to worry she will hook me up. This store has always went over and beyond without the game playing! So does Joanns in Washington, Mo./ 1976 Charlottes Way, Washington, Mo 63090. They are an amazing store as well with Great customer service and no games.
I placed my order twice, but the order never registered. I have received only one auto-reply from my follow up queries. Online fulfillment doesn't exist. The first time I ordered, it never registered and the fabric I ordered was out of stock when I returned to the site to re-place the order. I lost the opportunity for $2.99 shipping. A week later, I placed the order again. It seemed to go through, but I received no email acknowledgement. Today when I checked, it shows my order is still in the shopping cart! This is ridiculous.
Answer: I feel the exact same way. They cancelled an order I placed online and they never contacted me to tell me the order was canceled. I waited three weeks for an email to come pick up an item. I could have had this item 3 weeks ago from Michaels craft store. JoAnn's sucks!
Answer: Don't order anything from Joann. Go to a flea market or Hobby Lobby who gets your order correct and treats you by the Golden Rule. Joann is terrible and I am still waiting for a refund wherein they charged my account twice for the same order. Run!
Answer: Joann online are thieves and liars. We all need to get together to file a class action lawsuit against them for charging customers twice for the same order and then shipping wrong merchandise. This isn't an innocent mistake... it is planned. The only way to stop them is via a class action lawsuit.
Answer: Depending on which Joann store take your order. The reps are so untrained and very incapable of handling a simple online order at the Menomonee Falls Wisconsin location. They will cancel your order without your knowledge and when u call, they will tell u it will be ready by the close of business. It's, not ready than and when u call back they will say, it will be ready the next day. In all reality they messed up on purpose. ONLY IN MENOMONEE FALLS WI have I always experienced this type of treatment
