I am not sure what the negative reviews are all about, if you were surpised that the free version was a scaled down offering from the full, paid version then life in general is probably one big surprise for you.
I am a professional web designer and I am very particular about the programs I work with and I have to say that making a slide show for my 8 year old daughter's class was an absolute pleasure. As a matter fo fact she did half the work easily. Everything that was promised worked flawlessly and the end result was stunning. I hardly every run into a program that works this precisely and with vritually zero mistakes. Yes, I had to pay for the premium version, but I gladly pay money for a great product. Thanks for giving me and my daughter such a fun time together.

I was exceedingly disappointed when trying to publish my "movie" to a video. Having to submit it for processing and then hearing NOTHING back when it didn't arrive was very frustrating. It took 3 days to figure out that one of my music pieces was causing an issue and I needed to replace it. There is no tech support on weekends, and the customer service when it does arrive is terse and not particularly helpful. I upgraded my membership to be able to burn to a DVD and have yet to accomplish it. The interface is not user-friendly, with the photos appearing at the bottom rail, and they are so small that you can't see what you are doing. Reordering is clunky, and overall it's not a great user interfact.

I was able to make a video for my mother's 85th birthday and also my husband's funeral. They both were very well liked. I asked for help from Kizoa adding more gifs but no one responded. I used what they had and it was okay. The tutorials don't cover everything and it's very time consuming to look for help using the tutorials.

I am a business level member and have been using Kizoa for several years. I would say as a whole it is a good product. I wish they had someone/team updating templates. It seems in 2 years they have not really changed or been updated. This is a mixed blessing because it has forced me to learn how to do more myself. That being said. It would be a cool idea if they had a way for their users to be able to submit templates. Allowing the Kizoa creative community to work to improve the app for the community as a whole.
There are a few bugs I have come across that I would love to be able to address and if I ever get ahold of someone - which brings me to another con. Maybe because it is a smaller operation., But customer service is hard to get a hold of. Even for a premier member. Maybe someone more available or dedicated number for business memberships.
Over all it is a solid product. Perfect no. But, comparable and ease of use is there..

It says you can share with Facebook, but yet won't share the whole video. This is absurd, as I spent hours making a three minute video to share with my friends, to find out that it wont share the complete video. I'm guessing I would have to upgrade in order to do that. I just want to use it one time, I think you should have an option for one time users, you are going to loose a lot that way. This is very absurd and deceitful, I'm going to not use this, very unprofessional. I am very disappointed, as I was looking forward to sharing this with my friends.

Really easy to use and my slideshow came out great! Please add more stickers for sports (baseball). And add more stickers and borders in general. Love them as they are fun.
I wish in future versions, there is a way to move your photos around in bulk within your slideshow. Moving it 1 by 1 can be time consuming.

I really enjoy all the ways to make great slide shows. They always look great and sound great when you add music. Being able to create slide shows on a tablet would be the icing on the cake and something that if be willing to pay extra for.

Spent 6 hours creating a "FREE" video for my daughter's 2nd birthday only to be bilked out of $29.95 to get a copy of the finished product. Thirty bucks isn't the end of the world, but I refuse to pay it on principle. That's just wrong. You can't support a company that isn't up front with their customers.

You can review these features on our website as well as within your Kizoa account by clicking on the large orange "Lifetime Premium" button in the top left. I have exceptionally requested for you to receive the movie you made in MP4 format so you can save it to your computer. You'll get a download link by email. Just so you know, the majority of Kizoa is free and you can make movies, collages, and edit photos for free using your own photos, videos, and music. You can make as many as you want and share them online by email, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, blog, etc. and even download your movie to your computer for free if it is under 1 minute. Let me know if you need help with anything else ;)
1. To add in photo editing option crop flexibility to mark the frame on the picture.
2. When using video and pictures in the same collage - the system does't play the audio part or it is on mute with no option to turn on. Please fix this option.

I was in a hurry to make a last minute video for a funeral and came across Kizoa. Very easy to use and I was able to get my video done within minutes since i used one of their templates. I really liked it and will probably use them in the future.

When this program first came out I purchased it with the hopes it would improve. It has not. It's not only become slow and cumbersome but it has removed some of the features (like not shrinking the hell out of your files) I actually liked.
I do not recommend Kizoa at all.

This is not a program that I use daily or weekly. I have a saved shortcut icon on my desk-top. When I click on the icon it starts the upgrades, after that it opens all of my slide shows, then I click the tab button at the top 'kizoa.com', this takes me to a screen where I can create a new slide show. I think there are too many steps to get the create a new slide show. Sometimes this process does not work and I have to go back and forward from my 'desk-top icon' to 'kizoa installer. Exe'. Then the burning process is not easy to locate I have a saved shortcut icon 'kizoa player' but that does not work. I think these process would be more user friendly if there was a menu. Once I'm in the program it's a great tool for making slide shows. I really enjoy making the slide shows with this program.

Hi John! It seems that you're trying to log into your online Kizoa account via the KizoPlayer. Keep in mind that the KizoPlayer on your desktop should only be used to burn your slideshows onto a DVD. If you want to log into your account then you don't need to open the KizoPlayer at all. Simply open your browser and go to Kizoa.com and click on the "Sign in" button in the top right, you'll be into your account within seconds with no additional steps ;)
I absolutely love this site! They had all the right slideshow and editing tools I needed for my classroom this summer and I haven't had any problems burning a DVD. And when I sent them an email for help uploading my music, they replied almost instantly... thats hard to find these days!

Seriously SO annoyed! I have spent 2.5 DAYS going thru pics, scanning them, editing, cropping etc. in attempt to make a video not quite 4 minutes long. Had a very special song my boys dedicated to me to play along with the pics... get it all done and was so relieved when after I tried to post to facebook, it never showed up! I am in tears over all this effort with nothing to show for it. Your website says FREE... since it said that, there was no reason for me to go searching for further information. Only AFTER I went thru all this and it didn't post, did I maneuver thru all your links on top and discover FREE is only a minute long. Who wants to post a 1 minute video with pics? I will never use this site again and will warn everyone else to0... thanks for nothing

Hi Lori, there seems to be some confusion. You can post movies of unlimited length to Facebook as a Free Basic user. There appears to have been a technical problem when trying to post your movie, but closing out of Kizoa and clearing your browser's cache should resolve this problem. Kizoa is my only go to place now for making videos of my photos. The templates, the add ins, the transformations between each slide plus addition of predetermined music or your own are second to none.
Love the photo collages that can enhance photos and the downloading of these and slideshows that you can make, so that you can keep.
Each year kizoa gets better and better with the different aspects that are added. Keep on enhancing our experience,

It really sucks! Don't waste your money. I was working on a slide show for my Grandma's funeral and it took me forever. It was looking really nice. When it came to downloading it to my computer it was giving me a hard time. Finally after hours it down loaded. When I played it at the funeral, I was so angry when it stopped less than half way through.

I was making a video about myself on Kizoa. I thought it would be good because it was pretty ok in the making part. But when I tried to download the video, they said I have to upgrade. Just to download? I was really upset. I have been looking for a good online free video editor for forever and I haven't found anything good. I won't use Kizoa anymore.

Hi Fafi, with a free Kizoa account you can share your videos online for free without any time limitations, however, if you want to download it to your computer you need to make sure your video is under 1 minute long ;)
We have received excellent customer service from Alesa.
She is fast in responding to emails and phone calls.
Any questions, issues, whatever... she will take care of it.
Our video was downloaded, and we are very, very happy with the results.
Downloaded video is in excellent quality, and professionally done.
Will continue to use Kizoa, for any of our video needs.
By the customer service alone with Alesa, it is worth paying for the membership.

Great service. Great customer service.
But my issues with quality of uploads and pictures has never been resolved.
I have professional-grade high-res, screen-optimized images that never look as good once I upload them to Kizoa. So, I love the product, but may still go somewhere else.

Sometimes in collages it closes down when you are adding text and you lose your work before it's saved.
It would be good if you could move a photo to another photo folder.
Would be nice if you could organise your photo folders so most recent are at the top.
Since upgrading I don't get the option any more of just sending the slideshow to someone and they watch it from the web. I don't particular like people having to download or get copies of my photos, so was disappointed when it wasn't an option in the top levels.

Hi Carol! I looked into the issue with having the option of recipients download the slideshow or the photos. By default when you email your slideshow these two options at the bottom of the window are not checked, so they shouldn't be able to use those features. What you can do is next time you email a slideshow, make sure that the two download option boxes towards the bottom of the email pop-up window are not checked. I want to reassure you that you will not loose any features whatsoever being a Premium member, so if something is not working right just email me at veronica.gomez@kizoa.com and I'll get it worked out for you!
BUY SOMETHING ELSE! After purchasing the Pro membership I created five movies. You say, "Wow! That's cool!"WRONG! I made five versions of the same movie because the system kept disgarding my movies. No archives no backup nothing! I'm under a deadline and cannot meet it because this program is faulty and cannot be relied to store my work. Therefore it is useless.

I loved Kizoa, it has a lot of features and templates. It made making a slideshow video from photos very easy. I tried many other websites but none of them was as good as Kizoa. They even have a quick response time for support. I would definitely recommend it.

I was able to organize beautiful photos of the vacation home I rent out into a slide show, Add descriptive titles to each photo. Being able to add relaxing music to the slide show made it perfect. The best part of all is that I can email this slide show to persons interested in renting it and it would always seal the deal.
For real estate agents, it is perfect for making a slide show of every room in the listing,, adding a descriptive title to each and then music. My favorite music for a real estate slide show is "You'd be so nice to come home to" I LOVE Kizoa!

I was very excited to use this program making a wonderful slideshow for my family after the loss of several family members. I spent a huge amount of time on this, downloading a song to play along and everything. I finally completed it tonight only to find out that in order to use my own song I would have to pay over $30. So I decided to use it without music, and I still am not allowed to download the video onto my own computer without paying $60! After all the work I have done I am extremely frustrated. It is a website that runs great, and I would have considered paying for it if it had not been advertised as a 'free' site, which it apparently was not. Very bad business!

In order to use your own music as well as download the slideshow to your computer you would indeed need the Premium DVD membership which is $64.99. If you had upgraded already to the WEB membership which is $39.99 you wouldn't need to pay the full price of both, you'd only pay the difference.
