Customer service is very important to me. I am impressed. There really is not much more to say. There was contact and responses when necessary. Responses were quick. I was even informed of every step of the process. Initially, my lenses didn't cut the mustard. So they told me they were remaking them. So they were perfect. I received them yesterday. They are awesome, and everything I expected them to be and more. I will be a loyal customer for life.
You just never know how orders will go over the internet. My fingers were crossed that this company would perform well. I followed all instructions and sent in my old glasses. After waiting longer than I expected I wrote customer service and asked about my order. They responded quickly, and told me that my order would take a bit longer because of the complexity of my glasses. I understood. They came shortly thereafter. I was pleasantly surprised at the outcome. I love them! I will be using this company again, and I'll be recommending them to my friends.
Upon receipt of this order on March 25th, we advised customer service by email our lenses were put into the wrong frames. My red frames had my wife's lenses and her black frames had my lenses. We'd like our lenses put into the frames we desired. We have still not had resolution to this situation. We'd like to return our glasses ASAP, so the correct lenses are put into our frames.
These Lensabl glasses are the worst glasses I've ever received. I paid $363.95 (with discount) for TOMS frames with my strong prescription, and upgrade to 1.74 and "Premium Lensabl AR with Anti-Fog." I expected thick glasses because I've had this prescription a long time, but the glare on my Lensabl glasses was so bad I can't even wear them on a Zoom call and would feel conspicuous in a grocery store. I have a very strong prescription and matched the specs of my last pair of glasses as best I could. I was horrified when the glasses arrived, with glaring reflective thick lenses set far back in the frame to exaggerate their thickness (rather than centering the lenses as all other specialists have done). Contacted Customer Service who said that for $272 ($204 w discount) additional dollars they will add AR to the other side and attempt to reset the lenses. I'm just not confident that for nearly $700 I will have a serviceable product. I am going to have the lenses re-made at a difference store I have confidence in. Writing this review for the next person with a strong prescription- If you have a strong prescription, don't make the same expensive mistake I did! Or, initiate a consult before ordering; customer service said that some upgrades for strong prescriptions are available but not listed anywhere on the website. I'm hoping Lensabl at least sends me a TOMS case so that for $363.95 I have the TOMS frames and TOMS case (instead of the cheap Lensabl case as a reminder). TOMS frames were exactly as described.
The site is really well laid out and the process of ordering is relatively pain-free. The experience that followed was less smooth. I created an account to be able to login and follow my order. I like that you have the different steps in the process displayed on the site. On two separate occasions, I logged into the site and NO ORDERS were associated with my account. At other times the order was listed immediately. The first step in the process was as far as my order ever showed. For seven calendar days, the order never moved. Nor did I receive any communication about the order. Then all of a sudden on the seventh day I received a shipping notice. It seems to me that you have some server-side issues with the database pulling the orders. Additionally, The multistage icons on the website give the impression that the customer will receive updates as the order steppes through the processes. This did not happen.
The process for creating the order is very easy. Also, they will send you a box to safely package your frames. The lenses are high quality and made to specifications and an affordable price. The whole process took less than 2 weeks to have new lenses in my favorite frames.
I expected receiving my sunglasses back within 2 weeks. It took 6-7 weeks with claims of two defects with production process
I received my glasses on the above order on 3/6. I have a few questions and concerns and want to explore what my options are. (I have sent this same message to your customer service in a separate email)
1. I have worn Varilux lenses in my progressive prescription for the past 10-12 years. Are the lenses in my glasses Varilux? I was under the impression that I was getting Varilux since your website said you used Essilor technology. The viewing corridors on my new lenses seem small compared to my Varilux lenses. Is there an option to get Varilux lenses?
2. The new lenses are very thick compared to my previous prescription. Is this due to the strength of the prescription? Is there another type of material or technology available that would provide a thinner design?
3. I had you replace the lenses in one of my frames. With this new prescription and viewing corridor limitations the frames sit too high on my nose. When I look through the lenses at the bottom of the frames (usually for reading or close work) the vision acuity is poorer. Is there an option within your customer satisfaction policy for me to choose one of your frames and upgrade?
4. Since I'm pretty unhappy due to all of the above with my new glasses, I went back and reviewed my new prescription compared with my previous three prescriptions, each two years apart. I have found that this one jumped significantly from the 2019 prescription… from right +3.75 to +4.75 and left +2.75 to +4.0. I'm concerned that the prescription may be wrong since it moved so much. If I get it checked with a different optometrist and it is different, do I have any options with you to have new lenses made under this order?

It was easy and quick to order and receive my lenses but there was no indication that there would be a logo on each lens. There's an e with a circle around it in the upper outer corner. Very not cool.

Had a pair of designer frames my twin sister gave me but couldn't get used to the bifocals. Hadn't been able to find someone to make new lens for frames that weren't their own until I saw a Groupon for Lensabl. As soon as I got my new prescription, I sent it with my frames and photo measurements to Lensabl. The process was relatively simple, and I was able to get a box from the company to send my glasses in. With my groupon, the cost was very reasonable, and I received my glasses back with progressive lenses in 3 weeks with a very nice case and lens cleaner kit included. I'm very happy with them including the fit and would be quick to recommend Lensabl to my family and friends.

Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
