Lensabl has garnered a reputation for providing high-quality lenses and a convenient service for replacing lenses in existing frames, with many customers expressing satisfaction with the product quality and the speed of delivery. However, concerns have been raised regarding customer service responsiveness, particularly during issue resolution, as well as occasional discrepancies in prescription accuracy. Overall, Lensabl is viewed positively, though improvements in customer support could enhance the overall experience.

Worst experience ever. Ended up overpaying for useless lenses that were not what I was looking fro even though I consulted in advance.
I had a great experience with Lensabl. I bought four pairs of Stoggles and sent them in with my prescription. The turn around time was super quick and I love them so much. They still fog up a little bit when I wear them at work with a mask (I'm an ICU nurse), but I feel very safe with them on.
This is the third order with Lensabl & am very happy once again. Have saved a favorite pair of 20 year old RayBan sunglasses, a vintage pair of frames & now my favorite pair of everyday have been updated with a current prescription. Thank you Lensabl!
Had my favorite sunglasses ray ban that I could use anymore as i need a prescription glasses. Sent it to lensable and they did an excellent job fitting in a prescription glasses.
Lensabl was fast and efficient. I ordered, my cc was charged. I received a email the next day as they shipped me a shipping box at no charge with Lensabl address already there. I mailed my frames and was again sent an email that they had received them. A week later received an email saying they were finished and sent to me with a tracking number.
Very fast and complete service. Highly recommend
Had lenses put into existing frames- "Stoggles". I may have received some kind of discount as a result of agreement between companies. First time doing this online. Took about 1 month to receive completed glasses, but the prescription was incorrect (lab mistake). Returned, took another month. Decent customer service tho.
The lab received my glasses on December 3rd. I just received the finished product yesterday February 24th.
I sent several requests for an update through the chat with a customer service expert portal. And each time, I was given the runaround. I literally felt like I had to fight to get an update, and to get the lenses moving through the process.
My previous glasses from Lensabl were great. Quick turnaround. I loved it.
This second experience was beyond awful.
Product is great but very little communication. Shipping dates would be nice as it took 7 weeks to receive my order.
First time using Lensabl for my corrective lens needs. I sent in a pair of existing frames to get the lenses updated to the correct prescription strength. Process was fairly simple and easy to follow from the website. The only reason why I gave 4 instead of 5 is the completion was delayed due to catching an issue through their quality checks. This was a plus but I was in a pinch for a timeline to get them back, and this delayed them being completed by another week. Customer service assisted and accommodated request to get them as soon as possible. Will definitely be using them again in the future!
Easy, fast, had updates, customer service responded to questions on status
My "1.74" lenses from Lensabl came back after one month, despite being told it would take 5 days. They were thicker than 1.67 lenses I have. And the production was delayed because of "a rejection in the final inspection, " which caused them to need to be "redone." Despite this claim that the delay was caused due to quality control issues, one lens was cracked and my frames were scratched. Lensabl couldn't deliver the goods I purchased in the time they promised, and they damaged my glasses frames in the process.
I had high expectations for my recent lens order/fitting of a new pair of Stoggles safety glass eyewear. After weeks of waiting (the process was stuck at the "applying coatings" phase for several weeks showing "will ship in 5 days") I received my glasses in the mail. I had opted for anti-fogging coating on the inside of the lens and anti-dust and the works on the outside of the lenses. Two minutes into wearing the glasses with my mask on there was condensation on the inside of the lenses literally running down the lens. They looked like I had ran them under water. I cleaned the lenses thoroughly and discovered a small speck in each corner of the lenses. It looked like the lens had been clamped by a pincher or something during the manufacturing process. Not sure if this is common practice but I want a lens that is clear, not with imperfections.
After thoroughly cleaning the lenses (by the way, the inside coating on the lens created a great amount of difficulty in the cleaning process as it caused the cleaning cloth to stick to it for some reason), I did some woodworking. When I was finished kicking up dust I inspected the lenses to find that the inside of the lens was covered in dust (stuck to it) and the outside was fine.
I have contacted Lensabl and am now in the perpetual waiting game of an unreturned email. Overall, these lenses will not perform the function intended and I am out $150...
Super easy website to navigate! I was kept in the loop all throughout. Love my glasses, spot on, well done!
Patience is key here. It can take up to a week to ship your glasses there and once received they require 6 business days to process your order. Then your glasses are shipped back which could be up to a week or in my case two weeks because of inclement weather. I'm happy overall with their lenses. I did save a little over going to a local ripoff-tometrist but it took longer than I expected. I'll Probly be a return customer.
I have precious Oakley eyes and there was an issue with my order due to USPS. However Lensabl staff ensured they would get it right and stayed in contact through my constant emails wanting my precious lenses. Lensabl did everything within a busy terrible world of fires earthquakes wind disasters and a world of confusion and corruption.
I am very pleased and will order again even though mistakes or problems happen I respect a company and staff that makes it right!
Ordering and delivery were great but arm kept coming off frames. Arm came off when I was clearing snow and were destroyed.
When I received my glasses, the prescription was wrong. I worked with customer service to problem solve and was grateful when they allowed me to send them back. But then my replacement pair was exactly the same.
Fortunately, in the package, they included both the first set of lenses they'd made as well as the replacement ones. I took them to my local optometrist, who analyzed them and found that they were completely incorrect, and not due to anything I had possibly done - clearly someone at their lab has done their math all wrong and not only was the prescription way off, but it was identical in the first and second set of lenses they'd sent. So much for fixing the issue.
I am feeling extremely frustrated by this whole process, which has dragged on months longer than it should, and will not be using an online service again for lenses. They made me feel stupid, like I had messed everything up, and that I should be grateful for the exception they made to fix the lenses that were wrong. Meanwhile I am still without the glasses I need and out $200.
This is my second prescription lens that I sent to Lensabl. The first one was flawless and I was very happy. The second one I received yesterday after a long delay and the lens are awful. Different than the first one I can see the multifocal lines and I was very disappointed. Not sure if I order a different one, but i imagine the site should pick my last order and make the same or offer me the same lens.
The lenses look great. It's magical to be able to wear sunglasses and actually see well at the same time. The process took a very long time, though, and included one unnecessary delay. I sent the requested pic of me with a credit card in front of my face, but your system didn't recognize it. I kept getting more requests for it, and eventually had to explain to a rep that you already had the pic. Also, the glasses case you sent is much too large to use in daily life and isn't recyclable. Please consider replacing it with something that won't end up in a landfill. All that said, I'll likely use you all again for another pair of sunglasses!
I didn't receive my glasses for two months. There was very little communication and when I requested updates I was given a poor excuse. My glasses were then shipped out the next day. I felt as if I didn't send the message that I was unhappy it would have been another 3 months to receive my glasses.
Answer: I was not so lucky and have had a horrible experience withLensabl. After two months I'm still waiting for progressive lenses that cost over $600 and Neither my frames nor the lenses I ordered are back to me. Next time I will use a local eyewear store.
Answer: They falsely boosted about putting new lenses in existing frames (in a very short turn around like a week) not the 8 months it's been
Answer: Once your frames arrive at our lab, assuming you've provided all required Rx information, lens production is 4-7 business days on average before shipping
Answer: I purchased some really awesome vintage glasses with octagonal black plastic frames made in France, probably from the late 1960s or early 1970s. I was so excited to have them made into sunglasses. I took them to my local optical shop and was told, "I hope you didn't spend much on these because you wasted your money. No one will touch frames this old, because the plastic is so brittle it will just shatter." I was so disappointed. I tossed them in a drawer and forgot about them for a few months. Then I saw an ad for Lensabl online. I contacted them and asked if they could work with vintage frames, and the answer was "No problem!" I was nervous to send the frames in but figured I didn't have anything to lose. I just received the glasses back in the mail today (two weeks from when I mailed them in), and they are incredible! The frames were cleaned and straightened, and the new lenses are perfect. I love them so much. Thanks, Lensabl!
Answer: They clearly don't have the infrastructure set up to be in this business where each frame is a customer order. In cases like they they are not staffed with customer services that can be actually helpful which only result in wrongly made glasses. They broke my glasses and are not trying to it at all. I posted review on here before and then it just disappeared for some reason, I'm not sure if they are paying people to get rid of negative reviews.
Answer: Transitions take an upwards of 30 seconds to Transition. The weather conditions can impact the Transition time. Brighter and warmer outside conditions= transitions faster.
Answer: I am having the same experience. Took my money, lost my frames and have done nothing on refund nor damages. I filed with BBB as well. Why are they still in business is a surprise to me?How many more consumers do they need to harm before they are fined and/or shut down?
Answer: All prices are in USD ($) but we do ship to Canada as well :)
Answer: Yes all of our lenses are guaranteed or we will re-make them if any issues once you receive them back. Thanks!
