“SO FAR SO GOOD!”

Mike M.
11/18/21

Been active on Listia for about 2 months. Already have well over 100 positive reviews - mostly selling but some buying. Haven't had a problem so far *knocks on wood." Couple of times I had a question for support and within a couple hours, I had well thought out, informative and helpful responses. Only issue is that I have one buyer that doesn't confirm delivery within a day or two like everyone else. Not that they open disputes or anything, it just locks up your funds until 20 days after payment way made. That's only 1 buyer out of dozens. Seems like they have really tightened things up in a good way since switching back to Points from Ink. Fill out some surveys and it's like free money. Highly recommend giving it a shot.

“Watch for silver. 999 seller rip offs! Listia allows!”

jimmy d.
2/24/15

I bought a. 999 silver gram bar from what appeared to be a trusted seller but instead received a small silver grain bar about half the size of a gram. When I did all that listia asked me to do they said I didn't send pictures which I sent 3!. Regardless listia closed the account with no other options. The seller of course was happy to have my credits and not worry about making any other corrections as he can keep selling grains for grams and listia isn't incorporated enough like that of ebay, amazon or even etsy to manage a site such as this one. With all that said please do not misunderstand me there are many good sellers and buyers but listia is a great place for the con artist and listia will stand behind them.

We're sorry for the inconvenience, however we don't ban an account based on having "too much credits". If there was a site violation, we take that into consideration before banning the account. Listia people please note one thing, listia staff can steal read people's mail and email in listia.com.

"TANSTAAFL"

To enjoy freebies in listia, you have to get ready to write in mail things that does not even violate listia rules. If your mail writes listia bad things yes you are suspended next.

Bidding, too many people bid, when you put a bid that is highest that someone would bid over you at the last. I dont like it.

Privacy Risks - listia staff can read your mail messages. Be very careful when you message listia people. Try ask them to write in facebook or email address if you want to write bad things on listia

Unwanted programs - ask peopel to paypal to get extra listia credits is enough to speak this

Adult content - lingerie, bra, under, panties, sexy thong, condoms, pregnant items.

Misleading claims - if someone have same shipping address we listia would see if the receiver are different person,
Truth - 2 listia member with same shipping address even if different receivers, both listia account are suspended.

This is from my freinds and my real life experience in listia

Listia a lot of people dislike must have reasons. Nobody would want to hate something without reasons.

But listia misled people that if 2 account in listia use same shipping address they would check, but truth is they would suspend 2+ accounts with same house number already.

If you and other listia member have same shipping address, they would not give you any chance.

Listia.com website is ultimate dodger and charlatan. Its mechanism fib and fallacious auctions to bid. Their target dissimulating it is real in order to steal your stuff by instigate you selling your item gives you credits and points to bid on another stuff and items throughout the website. Then you submit it and few days ago, your items being sold and you being granted the (veneer) credits. That is it. Your items sold away for nothing. Your shoddy credits are useless even if it is one billion or so. It doesn't work by this scam website's software.
This bandit website is used to embezzle no money but diverse and variable products.
Don't be victim and oaf by this mobster and gangster such website and don't let these meretricious and flamboyant campaigns to deceive you. It is definitely scam. And all business websites are scammmmmmmmm. That is what I tell you to save your time from any obsession and thought to enroll in any minute of your life at any one of whatever any business website. Same traits and lascivious characters.

Tip for consumers:
Dangerous, don't approach.

Listia also deleted my account and according to the reviews on here I'm not the only one. I already made one review for this sorry excuse of a site. So which is it listia? On one review listias comment was that they allowed up to four accounts before deleting someone and the other comment on someone else review was that y'all only allow one. Which is it? I didn't use my old account BC I for my passwords and everything and even to my Facebook so I started a new one and got deleted. Listia can't make up their minds what their own rules are. Apparently. BC one comment from listia says up to four accounts and one say you can only have one. Which one is it listia? My family and friends that it was the dumbest thing they heard of about listia deleting my account so they also deleted theirs on their own. Listia is nothing but a scam to get you to do their surveys for credits that you don't even get and they take your credits once you do work credits up. Listia is a sorry excuse for a website and there other sites beside listia.

Hi Sherry,

In our Terms of Service, it states that a user can have ONE account. We allow 4 separate accounts per household/address. This does not mean that a user can have up to 4 accounts. If an account is removed, by us or by the request of the user, that still counts as ONE account. Any other created after will be removed for being a multiple account. To read more about account suspensions, you can visit: http://www.listia.com/rules#suspensions

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
Tom

JJ is very correct. People sell counterfeits all the time. If you DARE question the seller about authenticity, you are cussed at, the seller attempts to humiliate you, you are blocked AND Listia does nothing to remove the listing.

Instead of reporting listings, I file reports with Homeland Security/FBI who is responsible for counterfeit trafficking (which yes, that's what Listia is)

"Tom" is full of crap. Listia is very unresponsive and bans the 'troublemakers', errrrr I mean those that dare report the counterfeits. In short, they don't care.

Listia is a joke.

Current fakes (found in a quick 5 minute search)
https://www.listia.com/auction/*******-authentic-louis-vuitton-handbag
https://www.listia.com/auction/*******-louis-vuitton-saumur-mm
https://www.listia.com/auction/*******-euc-prada-hand-bag
https://www.listia.com/auction/*******-chanel-bag-please-read-below (which even states they don't know if it's authentic)

Addendum: all the above listings, which are painfully obviously COUNTERFEIT, are still up despite reporting. See how pro-active Listia is?

I signed up for this because of a Facebook ad. When I signed up, they gave me 1000 credits for free. I quickly found out that you can't get anything good for only 1,000 credits. So, I had the option of buying more, completing surveys, or listing stuff and "selling" it.
I completed over 30 surveys, but I did not get the promised 2,000 or more credits per survey. Most of the time I just got 100 credits. Sometimes, I did not get any. I had about 2800 credits, but even that wasn't enough to get anything good. So, I listed some stuff. I decided to list good stuff I wasn't using in hopes of getting a lot of credits. My auctions ended and I "sold: the items for almost 100,000 credits. But, the credits never showed up in my account. I waited for days, but nothing. The buyers all were throwing fits because Listia had taken their credits to pay. But, since Listia did not deliver the credits to me, I was not going to ship the items. After contacting Listia, I was told that sellers have to ship the items without getting paid. Supposedly, after sending the item, if the buyer gets it, then you get the credits. Well, I sent one item to test that... guess what, the "buyer" got the item, but then filed for a refund because they did not like it. Listia gave them back the credits and I never got the item back.
This is a SCAM. Then, they wouldn't close my account when I asked.

It is not per se an issue with Listia as a site itself, however, there are people on the site that are children with accounts and cannot be held liable by law. If you are a Listia user, BE AWARE of a user named msblunt. Her Real name is Kayla Worex, who is actually 10yrs old, and her father Richie Worex is a drug dealer in Newport Tennessee. Kayla pulls all kinds of underhanded things such as bid and win items, then claims it never arrives. She just took me for 500K. She has a lot of Positive ratings, but I noticed they are accompanied by negative comments. STAY AWAY FROM HER.

I loved listia. I get online everyday... now im just irrate!

AVOID THE SELLER DARKANGELTATTOOS ON LISTIA HE WILL MAKE YOU PAY FOR SHIPPING AND THEN SEND YOU A FAULTY PRODUCT AND REFUSE TO REFUND YOUR CREDITS... I AM DISPUTING WITH LISTIA NOW AND THEY WANT ME TO PAY ANOTHER $15.45 SHIPPING FEE TO SEND HIM IT BACK ON TOP OF THE $15.45 I ALREADY PAID TO SHIP IT TO MYSELF... SO THAT MEANS I WOULD BE PAYING $30.90 AND 37,650 CREDITS FOR SOMETHING I AM GIVING BACK! I DONT THINK SO! CHECK OUT MY PROOF http://listiarockmissjess.tripod.com/

I was banned for being underage! Are you kidding me how ridiculous is that? There are no innapropiate items on Listia so why would they ban underage people? I am a very mature person and can handle selling and bidding on a website, but how ridiculous is that you get banned by just being underage. On the app store it says it is for 4+ but it is for 18+ false advertising! I bought a few items and even when my order was being processed they still ban you! They took my credits which I worked hard for on my account! This is an awful app stay away from it! It also encourages scamming and it has awful customer service!

Update: I emailed them and they told me to send a picture of my full ID, so I did and then they said they can't because of a typo I made that says I am underage. So, they basically just made me waste my time, first they ask me for an ID then they just try to cover it up with something else. I am indeed angered by this, make sure to double check and not make any typos or else they will be banning you and then asking for an ID, DO NOT send an ID because they then will make a lame excuse about it.

I was having problems getting account credited for offers I completed. Opened a ticket on Nov 20, I explained thoroughly what was happening. They replied on Nov 23 to send screenshots and the confirmation emails, I did on Nov 24. I did not hear a word until Dec 6, and that is because I replied to them asking if I was ever going to receive my credits. They replied back on Dec 8 asking me what problems I was having. Pissed me off, I replied asking if they actually read the emails people send. They replied Dec 9 telling me it is out of there hands to contact Trial Pay. Seriously, after NINETEEN DAYS, they tell me to contact the original company that I had tried 4 times on Nov 19 and every time I clicked on the Trial Pay link that was sent to me, it would just say an error and wouldn't let me continue. So, on Dec 9 I sent another email, thanking them for everything they DID NOT DO to help me. Within an hour my account was banned. Had just under 50,000 credits.

So if you ask me, don't ever piss them off or you will be banned.

This is the quote Tom gave "We do not have an actual credit-to-cash or cash-to-credit ratio as it is determined by the ever-changing dynamic marketplace and it will vary from category to category, and from listing to listing. As the marketplace credits fluctuate, so will the credits available for purchase. "
And this was copied and pasted off the Listia site
Current rate:
3,400 Credits / US$1
(as of Sep 2,2015 at 5:02am)

That sure looks like a credit to cash ratio Tom. An you said " We do not have an actual credit-to-cash or cash-to-credit ratio" Looks like someone got caught in a lie. I even have a screen shot, and printed the page.

I also want to let everyone know the user auctiontech sells fake/counterfeit items. Listia was warned of the issue with some of his auctions and they did nothing! He is auctioning slabbed coins from bogus grading companies. BEWARE this user and BEWARE LISTIA! I will be adding more reviews with more users names. Someone needs to protect the users, and we sure know that Listia won't!

Thumbnail of user rayelleb
Tom F. – Listia Rep

Hi Eric,

We do not have an actual credit-to-cash or cash-to-credit ratio as it is determined by the ever-changing dynamic marketplace and it will vary from category to category, and from listing to listing. As the marketplace credits fluctuate, so will the credits available for purchase.

As for counterfeit items, we do not allow them and do our best to monitor them. We also rely on our great users to flag the auction if it appears to be against the rules. If you find such auctions, you can always flag as well. To report, or flag, a listing, go to the listing and locate the link at the bottom right of the item description text that reads “Flag as inappropriate.” Click the reason why the listing needs to be flagged and one of our moderators will review the listing to see if it needs to be removed, edited, or investigated further.

We hope that you can continue to use and enjoy Listia.

Sincerely,
Tom

This isn't a fair warning, it is a stage 5 alert...!
Avoid this website at all costs.
The people who run it are complete a$$holes in general, they act like some elitist who could care less about you or what your selling

If a buyer has a problem or issue with an item and it goes into dispute, all they have to say is, "it's not as described", they do not have to provide any proof at all, and the administrators & moderators will instantly refund their credits back to them, let them keep the item and allow you to receive a negative feedback for the transaction.

I even had a buyer state they received the exact item exactly as described and pictured, and their dispute reason was." I don't want to use it" and they got to keep the item, and got their credits back...
Complete scam. Worse then eBay ever was!
DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE STATED RULES!
The rules mean nothing...
& do not even think of trying to contact customer support,, the "support' is either a copy and paste response that gives no solution or they do not even respond at all.

I seen another review on here stating the exact same scenario from other reviewers. Seems to be a trend.
Also they offer free credits for downloading stuff onto your computer, which only downloads multiple tracking cookies and tons of extra stuff that locks up your computer and you will just have to restore you computer to a previous restore point to get rid of all the crap the install on your pc.

1 last thing you need to know. You get credits for your items, which in turn you use to buy other items from other sellers... but Listia is constantly devaluing the credits by selling them for cash.
2 months ago you could buy 40,000 credits for $40, now it 76,800 credits for $40. So your credits are worth half as much as they were 2 months ago. And this has been a trend of devaluation for months now.
I have been on listia or 6 years, but after this latest onslaught of horrific incidences, I will be moving on..

Tip for consumers:
tip..
avoid this site all together.. it all depends on if the people who run the site like you or not, if they do, you might be ok,.. I said MIGHT
if for some reason they do not, be prepared to get ripped off and ignored at every single chance they get

LISTIA IS THE WORST SITE I HAVE EVER USED. The rules state you are allowed 3 accounts per house hold my son who doesnt live with me opened one my daughter who doesn't live with me opened one and I opened one no where on earth would this be considered 3 accounts in one household but when I had over 5oooo points and my daughter had nearly 9500 and my son had ******* all three accounts were suspended in the same day stating we had multiple accounts when I asked them to show me my supposed other account they brought up my son's account and my daughters account when they provided proof that they lived in other towns the accounts were reinstated but with no points. Then a few months later the same thing happened. I spent a total of over $500 shipping free items and lost the points 2x and lost the items and money... site is a huge scam

I have been a member of Listia for 3 years, and I have to say that this site is honestly just 'alright'. I have to admit that I sell more on here than on eBay, but it's full of bunch of idiots that do not read the description. Mainly because I charge for shipping and I am later messaged by the bidder to cancel their bid because they were too stupid to read the description when the shipping costs are RIGHT THERE.

I usually just sell cheap items there and charge for shipping so I don't lose profit and I'm able to get by; making at least $2 of profit from every item I sell. I don't recommend selling expensive stuff here because you will NOT get your money's worth. They use "credits" as their currency in listia, but don't be fooled. 1000 credits is only equivalent to $1. And they charge you like $40 to buy 16,000 credits ($16 worth of money in their website). RIP OFF.

There are quite some nice stuff I find there though, not a lot of junk, pretty good stuff, but nothing amazing.

If you plan to join this website to get REAL money, good luck! They take down lots of auctions that exceed shipping so you don't make REAL profit from your stuff.

I have been able to get under the radar for now (unlike before), so as long as you don't exceed $10 for shipping or if you can fake that you're from another country to charge for more shipping, you're good. But I don't really recommend this website if you want to make a big profit.

Unless you're really generous and want to donate your stuff, go ahead! They'll be happy to take your stuff!

The people from there only want free shipping, it's a bit annoying to deal with those people.

But despite their faults, I haven't run into major problems with them, and I have sold a ton of stuff here for a tiny bit of profit. However, if you're into making huge profit, I would consider looking elsewhere.
