I needed to merge 2 accounts and couldn't get anyone to call me. Once I got the manager Michelle F, she said she couldn't merge and then deleted the wrong account and was extremely rude about it. She not only made that huge mistake, but she refused to fix it by giving my certificates that she deleted back to me. Only offered a refund! Those certificates were no longer available! They need to find someone that represents the company better or just close up!
A bunch of thieves. I am a business owner, I worked hard taking on clients for free. Local Flavor was supposed to use this money to advertise my company, which never happened. They scammed me out of thousands of dollars. Stay away from them!
This is a one big scam. Clients came to me for skincare services, we redeemed voucher together and I never received any money from Local Flavor aka Clippers Magazine. I contacted them and made complaint about situation, no call back. Customers are still coming to me and I had to tell them I will not accept any coupons from them. I called again asking to take my name out of their website, I don't want to make any business with them and few months later...nothing changed. They still making money using my business name. STAY AWAY FROM THEM!
I have used Local Flavor about 20 times in 2 years. Recently, a voucher didn't work at the location. I watched the merchant scan it on the Local Flavor app and it said it was expired. However, Local Flavor told me it was cashed in. I even went as far as showing them my receipt and that I paid cash for my order that day. I was called a liar 3 times and asked not to email them again. I was also given a remark of " If you dispute the charges, we deal with credit card companies every day and we will win the case."
I purchased a coupon that was newly being advertised for a restaurant near me. Went to use it 2 days later was told they will not honor it I should contact local flavor. I called customer service only to get a recording, then wrote 2 emails waited several day for a response just to receive a very nasty reply from a Jackie K. Basically telling me I was shot out of luck! I am looking forward to joining the lawsuit in the near future. This company has no merit and is unethical!
Local Flavor continues to sell certificates for local businesses that are no longer in existence. When I tried to contact the customer service number, I get a only a recorded message. My next call will be to the California Attorney General's office. This is called fraud. Buyers beware of this company.
I was going to use my food certificate and saw that the business was closed for business. It was well within my expiration date so I let them know I wanted a refund or credit to purchase another certificate. Local Flavor did not give me a refund or credit, just silence... no response. Thanks for nothing Local Flavor and Groupon (I believe they are part of the same company) very bad customer service, some would say robbery.
I tried numerous times to reach customer service about a certificate purchased.
Tried via phone, nobody picked up the call, email, nobody replied, online chat, always off line.
Will never purchase anything from them again.
Buyer beware! If the restaurant/vendor closes, you lose your money! Local Flavor refuses to refund your money. They will give you a "credit" to use at another restaurant, but there are only a few in my area & none where I would eat. As a loyal customer, who has purchased several times, this sucks!
I tried to post the above statement on their website to warn others, but instead of posting, it is being reviewed! That means nobody will ever see it. Don't trust this company!
I ran a coupon for my business in 2018. I have a documented agreement of ONLY (1) ad which was valued at $885.00. To this date they are still running 50% off coupons for my company, and collecting the revenue. There have been over $1600. 00 in Coupons sold by them, and counting. No one will respond to our calls or emails. I would tell you not to purchase from them but if something isn't selling they just pay Groupon to sell their coupons!
I purchased many certificates since last year and when a restaurant closed I had to notify them and haven't heard anything back from their customer service dept. You cannot get a live person on the phone, only a recorded message that keeps saying to call back at another time. You can contact them on the website and they send an automatic reply that says they will follow up and contact you within a week. I have been waiting several weeks now with no response. I just want to warn other potential buyers out there to not buy any certificates from this company.
Answer: Unfortunately it looks like their customer support is shut down or closed with no answers. I had to go to my bank to reject the transaction and get my bank to refund our money for the invalid certificates.
Answer: The number they have is bs as the whole company is. Most merchants say they were tricked and claim they get nothing. This is why merchants often are refusing these vouchers also. Have fun trying to get refund on anything. They were decent early in but not now. Stay clear of anything with these guys...
