I had an in store credit and wanted to purchase an item online that they did not offer in the store. I could not purchase the item using the in store credited. The store and customer service over the phone would not accept my payment with in store credit. They said it was a policy, that I can't use in store credit for an online purchase. I'm taking my business elsewhere, over $55, where I already spent my money.
I ordered a washer on 1/1/23 and my delivery date has been changed twice. I understand a couple of days for the weather, however it has been two weeks for my delivery. I called and they transfer you to the delivery department and they hang up on you. I have called them 5 times and keep getting hung up on or the phone just rings. I called customer service and he transfer me to the assistant manager and they never picked up the phone. Kept putting me on hold. I will NEVER AGAIN purchase from Lowes on Robert Street in St Paul, MN they suck. Very unprofessional.
I finally received my refund on Saturday. I was told that IT never gave the permission needed to get into the system that held the refund.
The manager said that the new system will be great once it is operational.
I appears I could have received my refund last Tuesday.
I placed and order in May 27th online for pickup from yonkers took a week to confirm the order it was so urgent bought it from a different store and no option to cancel the online, you have to hold the phone for hours could not cancel the. Final some one has picked up the order on July 18th and appeared on my statement, My order #*******, Be aware the staff may have involved to this fraud to pickup.
We bought a dryer after our old one started making a horrenous noise. It was scheduled for today, January 7th to come in for delivery. So we have two dogs, and one actually managed to escape. Of course, dog catcher is not in their job description, and both of the delivery people helped me get my dog back and outside in the backyard. Of course, they then proceeded to take our old dryer out then put the new one in and set it up. Both of them are truly angels.
Bought a clothes washer. Scheduled delivery for a Sunday. Was told the window was 4-8. Heard nothing until 10:20 at night asking me if I still wanted it that day. Called the next day to find out what time my delivery was only to be told that I was not in the schedule for delivery. It would be the next day. I. Was then told I could cancel purchase if I wanted to.
Lowe's sent my refund for an online order to my old address … so some strangers received my refund.
I placed an online order to be sent to my local store using a gift card. (I haven't placed a credit card order with Lowe's since living at my old address, so that was what they still had on file.) But for this order, neither my delivery address nor billing address was required.
When I canceled the order, they sent a new gift card for the amount of the refund to the address they had on file for me – sent via FedEx without ever bothering to verify my address. Now they say they only issue refunds to the billing address on file – which, again, had nothing to do with this order – and there's nothing they can do about it. They sent MY refund to some stranger … and they're defending the process that let this happen!
Such incompetence is astounding!
Bought a GE washer dryer combo on June 6. The earliest date that was available was June 28. I scheduled it to be delivered to me in the morning and at the last minute they didn't call changed it till the afternoon I called the store and the receiving lady told me that wasn't her problem and it will be delivered whenever they can get to it. The delivery guy came and told me what else they said about me of how I was being uncooperative
Horrible service - will never order from Lowes again. The last order was a year ago and it had to be cancelled because they never delivered the appliance and had no idea where it was. That was after six weeks of waiting. The most recent order arrived damaged and the delivery crew damaged my walls. Lowes told me I had to deal with the delivery company for the damag. Sorry, I didn't hire the delivery company, or have a choice in who delivered the appliance. Complete incompetence and lack or accepting any responsibility - never again.
Purchase online on Wednesday night ready for p/u Thursday. Only 1/2the order ready. Sales person be ready Friday not there will be ready Monday. Call the store in transit. After a discussion with Jason after a few minutes I asked him to let speak he kept interrupting. He then not so polite he call me a smart $#*!! He hung on him call later the truck arrived finally. Great customer service being called a smart $#*!! Lowes in Sevierville TN.
I have found that I enjoy the help that online gives me to find prices of merchandise that they carry in the store. I mainly go online to check before going out and if it is not at the store then online is the way to go. Great site!
I tried to return 2 items that I bought online. I went to the site and was able to print the return label that goes inside the return. I tried to print the return SHIPPING label because they were not included in either item. I could not print it. I called in and was told that I needed to use Firefox or Internet Explorer ( i mean... who uses those anymore?) and that Chrome would not print it. Then I got a lecture by the CS associate on how Lowes only uses Firefox for everything online. Are you kidding me? They are not able to create a shipping label for you and email it like any other big online store does. All I can say is... Amazon. Walmart. Lowes is a dinosaur.
0n 10/21/2021 I order carpet from the Lowes store in Auburn, WA. It was supposed to be installed in the first of November. The second week of Nov. I called and they said it was on its way and would be at the installers within a week. I called the next week and they told me that the carpet had arrived and they just needed to confirm something with the installers by email. The last week of Nov. I called again and they told me that the carpet was in and they were still confirming things with the installers. The first week of Dec, I called and was told that the carpet had never been delivered and the manufacturer was out of stock and would not have any of that specific carpet in the near future. No company should ever lie to its customers.
Nobody answers the phone. Called for 30 minutes. I finally gave up and called another store for another 30 minutes. They did FINALLY answer and told me the part I was looking for was at the other store. I went by the store to pick it up and complained about how bad customer service is as far as getting anybody to answer the phone (it has been this way for over a year). I was told that it is now corporate policy to under-staff the stores to the point that they do not have anybody to answer the phones any longer. I hear customer service has picked up at Home Depot so I guess I will start going back to them. If the management at Lowes ever wakes up then maybe in a few years I will try them again. Till then if Home Depot does not have it and it is something I need the I will get it off Amazon.
I have always had a pretty good experience at Lowes. They have helpful staff and good quality items. They do a good job of installing appliances. They are rather large and sometimes it is hard to find someone to help and since it is so large it is often hard to find what you are looking for. Some items are a little more expensive than the local hardware store.
I already wrote this. Where did it go? I hate Lowes. They should tell everyone upfront that IF UDont have a receipt they will not take a return, even if it's still in the box and unused. They suk! Never have had this problem with Home Depot.
We purchased carpet and told them we had a pool table the employees said this was not a problem. The person measuring did not say this was a problem so we think no problem. The installers arrive a month later and say they cant move the pool table and Lowes say it is a liability issue. Now no carpet installation. I will never buy from them again.
I purchased a Husqvarna lawn mower at the lowes store in Westborough MA because of an advertised 3 year warranty. I still remember the customer service rep who sold it, saying "silly to advertise for 3 years... it would be criminal to sell a lawn mower that didn't last at least 5-10 years".
Well 2 years later it just stopped turning over, a month of phone calls all saying that it would be covered with no update from the servicer and finally a phone call saying I would have to pay $500 to get it fixed. The stupid thing only cost $400 in the first place. Oh, and if I want to contest it, I have to call husqvarna and tell them to call some third party repair shop. Lowes says (Verbatim) "It has nothing to do with Lowes anymore".
Well, since I'm about to spend $8 k on patio supplies, $15k on new windows, and as a home owner, I do home repairs every year... I have nothing to do with Lowes anymore.
Placed an order online and they sent the washing machine to South Carolina and the dryer to New York. Both were supposed to be sent to South Carolina. Then after 45 minutes on the phone to cancel the New York order they said I had to repurchase the dryer separately and I could not receive the $50.00 bundle discount even though I originally bought them as a bundle. A manager could not understand that to keep a satisfied customer they should reinstate the bundle discount. I will NEVER order from Lowes again. Terrible customer service. Terrible overall experience.
I go to a Lowe's store in Fort Myers, Florida. They give me a 10% military discount when I show my Florida DL w/ Veteran's indicator. The nearby Home Depot requires a VA card (which is against VA policy) which I don't have. Ace Hardware recognizes my DL as well. A Lowe's in Cape Coral does not give the discount based on my DL. Different stores apparently have different policies. Today I got notice that Lowe's will manage my veteran's status on my account on their website. Hoorah. I shall make even more effort to show at Lowe's as much as possible. I purchased a complete kitchen appliance set in December and a kayak during the summer from them due to their veterans policy. Thank my fellow veterans for their service.
Answer: They aren't a s cam but their incompetency will make you pay extra for shopping with them
Answer: Same here and Lowes is no help! All they tell me is there is a delay, sorry
Answer: The price will be less but you will overpay with your time
Answer: If you contract with Lowe's, Lowe's is the general contractor. You signed the contract with Lowe's, not with his subcontracted retailer or installer. Lowe's will try to push the responsibility downstream and require you to take it up with him, but in the end, Lowe's is responsible.
Lowe's has a rating of 1.6 stars from 1,376 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Lowe's most frequently mention customer service, home depot and next day. Lowe's ranks 3180th among Home Improvement sites.
