I had always thought Lowe's was a great home improvement store, and while they may have plenty of satisfied customers I'm not one of them. I ordered a basketball hoop for my kids on March 30th hoping to replicate some of the activity they got while attending school that's been cancelled for COVID-19. I received a confirmation on my order and then the shipping date came and went. I did receive an email from them letting me know the shipment was delayed but it would arrive after the anticipated date. That delivery date came and went so I called customer service and they let me know that the Silverback hoop I purchased was out of stock and they would not receive anymore for over a month and a half. No offer to help with the resolution, or find another hoop, just said we can refund your money. My kids who had been looking forward to the hoop for an entire month, that which I had promised for all the home studying work as a reward, was not coming. I got to be the dad that broke his promise and the customer service rep for Lowe's really couldn't care less. Amazon or Home Depot for me from now on. I won't ever set foot in one of their stores again.

I placed an order to have carpet installed in one of my rental houses for $1922 with the expectation that it would be installed in the normal 2-3 week timeline that it has taken in the past. I called and went by the store and left phone messages for someone to call me back 8 times and no one ever would to let me know when the carpet would come in or be installed. I left 3 messages for Rodney Geeslin the store manager to call me back and he never did until I called a fourth time. I ended up talking to the CPO(Central Processing Office) 6 more times with poor customer service. They offered me what they think is compensation for it taking 8 weeks to get the carpet installed and having poor customer service. It is not even close to what it cost me for having to wait 5 additional weeks to get the carpet installed with missed rent of $250 a week for a total of $1,250 and the headaches that came along with it. This store is very poorly managed and many of the employees have no clue what is going on. This store and the whole experience reminds me of a Kmart. Because of all of this I will never buy carpet from Lowe's in Trussville, AL again and will definitely tell all of my investor friends and leave every review I can to let other people know what they can expect from Lowe's and to not buy carpet there either.

Lowe's is using Covid to not honor rebates sent in. They conveniently lost rebates sent in. Our order has been a headache since we ordered back in November 2019! Didn't find out until day before expected delivery that all our appliances, except vacuum, was on backorder till February. Called rebate center since we couldn't send in our rebate until we had the receipt from delivery. They told us it was no problem and to send it to a different address since it was a special case. The guy knew right away to find this address. Appliances get delivered, I send in our rebates. Few weeks pass and we got the smaller ones of $150, $100 for our washer and dryer. Few more weeks pass still nothing on our $700 rebate. I try calling but of course everything has been closed. We keep trying to call every so often until they open back up. Then we end up in a loop of click this number, you need to be redirected, oh actually you need to go back to the previous department, and repeat. Finally talked with store associate who went above and beyond in trying to help us with the rebate and staying in touch with is. He finally tells us that all rebates previously turned in have been lost. We end up talking with a call center about resubmitting our rebate, with proof of rebate and purchase for them to tell us the rebate is too old now and they won't honor it. This has only been a review on their rebate system, I have at least three other stories on their customer service, installation and delivery. I've had problems both in and out of the store.

We bought a stove from Lowes in December, 2019. Lowes told us it was in stock and it would be delivered within 3 weeks. After 4 weeks, we called and asked where our stove was and it was on back order which means we weren't going to get it until February. Lowes then calls us back the next day saying we would not get it until mid-March. We decided to buy a different stove and were refunded for our original purchase. Our stove was delivered a few weeks later and the delivery department said the installation department would call us in 2 to 3 days. TEN days go by before I had to call and ask what was going on. Installation said they were never told that we returned our original purchase and ordered a new stove. The delivery department stated that they could leave the stove in our garage and the installation people would bring it into the house. The installation people stated the delivery people would have to come back to bring the stove into the house since they could not do it themselves. So now we have an installation date scheduled but no word from the delivery team to see if they will actually have our stove in the right place before the install team comes out. This has been the WORST experience we have ever had. We wanted to do our entire kitchen remodel through Lowes and now I will never step foot in their store again. They have the worst communication and costumer service I have ever experienced. Save yourself a headache and choose a different store.

Horrible customer service
September 28, 2023

I ordered a a 37 ton log splitter, 4-way log splitter wedge, and the oil needed to run it. I get the email saying my order was ready for pickup, this is on September 27th my order was supposed to be here September 18th. I called to make sure it was actually all there, before making the 3 hour round trip to pick it up. The lady I spoke with said everything was there and ready, I ask if I needed to do anything in order to pick it up. She said everything was in order and I didn't need to do anything but come get it. Great right! We get there and wait about 30 minutes, and they bring it out and load it on our trailer. He said I needed to sign for it, his handheld wouldn't work so we went inside to a computer. There I was told my payment method didn't go through when I ordered it, so I would need to pay the balance. Out of the 3 items I ordered all at once, only the oil was actually paid for. That made no sense to me, so after 2 hours in the store trying to pay for it I left with nothing but the oil. What a horrible experience! We've always been Lowe's shoppers, I promise I'll never spend another dollar there. I also plan on taking the oil back. Never have I been made to feel like I didn't have the money to buy something, that's how I was treated last night. My husband is pulling in at Home Depot as we speak to purchase a log splitter. Shame on you Lowe's

Two weeks ago I purchased delivery of pavers. At 11 AM I call the north side store in Pueblo, CO to see if my delivery was going to happen. The lady that answered the phone on the 30th ring said that there was nothing for delivery. I explained to her I had a paid receipt, but she stated that was just an estimate. I again told her I had a paid receipt in my hand. She then forwarded me to another lady who stated she would look for the purchase. After being on hold of a long time, she came back and said she found the receipt, but had no idea about the delivery. I was then forwarded to delivery and that lady told me that she would look into it and call me back. Two hours later I called the store again and on the 24 ring a lady answered and said the driver was loading his truck. Two after that the driver called and stated he was on his way. 40 minutes he arrived and did an outstanding job.
Today 3/24 I am supposed to have another product delivered. I called at 10 AM and no one had any idea about my order. I called again at 11 AM and again no idea about my order. I just now received a call stating that they did not get the product in and it is now suppose to arrive Thursday 3/25 sometime. So I have now spent the entire morning waiting on my delivery and it will not happen. Maybe Thursday and MAYBE Friday!
This is third problem I have had with LOWES CRAPPY SERVICE! Already paid for the product or I would do somewhere, ANYWHERE else!

BEWARE!

Please beware of this lousy company... i ordered 2 windows and a sliding glass door a month and a half ago... no one called me so i called them got the run around and i did sign a contract for the work, so i called 3x to customer service i got a call from some idiot telling me the installer did not want to do the installation because my structure on my house was not good... REALLY? I began to tell the idiot NO ONE has been to my house, he said Ma'am i am not gonna go back and forth with you so i hung up on him. The General manger calls me and says i hear you have a question... ummmmmmm no... i have a complaint... i tell him the story he says i was under the impression some one was at your house, no sir, NO ONE was at my house... there is no damage to the structure on my house... i have a few friends come over because i needed to know... NO there is no damage... Lowes already put 4 windows in my house without any problems... The general Manager( Daryl) said he will make some calls and get back to me... I won't hold my breath... Therefore i have called Home Depot to come out Monday in the morning which i will be for work! BEWARE!

Mind blowing

I ordered & paid for an oven, original price $1,299, Lowe's quoted $1717 including tax so they wanted $300 to deliver & install. The Lowe's electrician charged $150 for his electrical work & then Lowe's charged another $150 on top of that. I said ok because I haven't had an oven since end of November. I felt taken advantage of by Lowe's. After the electrician came again to look at the entrance, he decided to tell me that my railings would have to be removed for another $50 and he didn't know what Lowe's would charge me. This was after I already paid & his 2nd visit. I was getting upset by then. I told him the ice & snow & railings would be removed by the time they came. He said ok & left & Lowe's called me and said, "the electrician is uncomfortable with the tile floors in the kitchen being slippery & doesn't feel comfortable doing the job." I just couldn't believe my ears! This really blew my mind! The whining electrician wanted even more money to do an hours work. His attitude was that he's indispensable. Lowe's is overcharging since the pandemic. I know what is involved with the electrical so I happily canceled my order with Lowe's at their request & called Morehouse where I originally went for my current oven and ended up with a better price and a better oven! Last year I called Lowe's for a quote on my current plain deck that was $5,000 to build. Using the existing pattern, Lowe's quoted $15,000 to replace! Outrageous! I will never shop at Lowe's again.

I ordered a ftidge/freezer in Huntersville to be delivered in Ponce Inlet, FL. I paid for installation but they delivered and just left it for me to unpack and put together and hook up.

DO NOT VISIT OR BUY ANY appliances from Lowe's - We have purchased FRIDGE from Lowes (Pacific common store) through lows credit card. I have ordered the product 2017 April, 15th and received delivered on 23rd, April 2017- BUT THEY DELIVERED 2016 DATED PRODUCT WHICH ONE YEAR OLD DATED STOCK PRODUCT - TODAY MY Fridge stop working and diagnose the problem - CAME TO KNOW THAT PRODUCT IS OUTDATED OLD STOCK ITEM DELIVERED AS NEW PRODUCT. Which is causing my frdige into problem today. Today i lost around $1000/- product value. When we asked why these old dated products been delivered - Lowes completely ignored and say WE DO NOT HAVE AN ANSWERE - SORRY! No resolution at all! Do not buy any appliance from Lowes - NEVER!

Lowes poor service

I purchased a free standing linen closet on line, two weeks later they call to say the closet is in and to please pick it up in Indiana - mind you we live in Dartmouth Massachusetts. A few weeks later they call to say its arrived at the Dartmouth store. We rented a truck to go pick it on on a Saturday afternoon and after being sent back and forth from the customer service desk to the on line pickup desk, they found the item in the store. They now say we need a credit card to complete the purchase, sfter swiping several times they claim the card is no good. After many arguments we decided to come back the next day with a different credit card. Again after several swipes they claim this credit card is also not good. We were in this line for close to 90 minutes. It was embarrassing, especially after several times the clerk announced to all persons in this line that our credit cards were no good. They cards were not going through because after multiple attempts swiping the bank rightfully thought that fraud was going on. The clerk and customer service manager blamed their lack of training with the new online ordering system for the problem and somehow this was our fault. This was embarrassing, and they time spent was ridiculous and I will never buy anything ever at Lowes again. I asked Bryan the service manager who can help us, he replied no one... and explained it was poor training. This happened on Sunday June 3rd at 8:15am.

Terrible Experience

Can we say... UNPROFESSIONAL! I recently purchased a handheld vacuum and when I got home and opened the box, which was poorly taped up (didn't noticed until I actually went to open it), there was no vacuum! Only a half full Dr Pepper bottle and a roll of lent roll paper! I immediately took it back for a refund and guess what! I was made to be a liar and the culprit! EVEN THOUGH I PRODUCED THE RECIEPT OF PURCHASE! A whole lot of whispers And huddling and wide eyeballs. Stares and accusations that I was the one who did it. "Sorry we cant give you your money back." HUH?! "I would like to speak to the manager." Instead of the employees getting the manager, they said it was just them. Lol. They proceeded to tell me they weren't going to give me my money back because they had already sold the item. What in the world does that have to do with me? It sounds like this Lowe's Location needs to get their employees in order. "Well why did they give you $6 off?" Oh, because I work there I would know huh? Lmao. This was a poor experience and I will be spreading the word about how they treat their customers. I would give it no stars but Yelp has not yet added that feature. Bald Ginger bearded man and a short Dark haired woman. WRONG!

Bought a riding mower. Was told one left so we bought it with a two week waiting period for delivery... 2 weeks went by... no mower talked to sales man that sold it and he completely changed his story... BUT wife listened in on conversation. WE recieved a phone call telling us the product would be delivered the next day between 9-1 pm... no one showed up. After several attempts to talk to customer service, or shipping departmey OR ANYONE we were put on hold EVERYTIME only to be disconnected. FINALLY someone a answered and we told them NOT TO PUT US ON HOLD. Then were were told our mower was on a truck but could not reach them by phone. Then after again waiting we were told the item was not shipped because Deere did not come to check it out. No one called to tell us this instead we were fed lie after lie. Then we were told deere would come friday and delivery would be sometime saturday... today(friday) Lowes called to tell us of YET another delay, but at least someone had the professionalism to let us know. So now we must wait until they call us sunday after six pm to give us delivery time. This experience forces us not to shop there and to relay our expeience to our friends

One Botched Up Job by LOWES
August 25, 2022

If you value your home, money, and time do not use LOWES for installation of countertop services.
I contacted Lowe's located 8670 Concord Mills Blvd. Concord, NC and sent them the pictures below of the installation and I didn't hear anything for a week. Then Lowes sent me an email stating the ticket is closed and no further action taken. LOWES do not stand behind their customers. Lowe's fabricator/ installer/subcontractor was Cutting Edge Stoneworks located 235 Rolling Hill Road Mooresville, NC *******. Cutting Edge Stoneworks came out to measure my kitchen and the measurements were incorrect and the countertops are not flush to the wall. Cutting edge Stoneworks blame me for their mistakes and they did the measurements.
Take a look at the end result, yes it looks good afar, but come closer and you will see the mistakes and errors. The seam can be seen and felt, one cabinet was damaged, sloppy glue everywhere and the countertop width are too short and as a result, they are not flush to the wall. The Bar Countertop cutout is 3 inches and is too big to place the wood trim around.
If you value your home, money, and time do not use LOWES for installation of countertop services.

My mom has been having her home remodeled since early 2017. She was told by the interior design consultant and her contractors that everything would be done July 12th 2017. Yes, 17 not 18. A year ago. The FIRST set of contractors provided by lowes was a bunch of Russians who seemed not to have even been licensed, installed almost everything in her house wrong, wrong cabinet doors, wrong trim, used the trim for the bathroom in the kitchen. This was after waiting 4 months AFTER the finishing date for them to even start. Then a few months later, well past when it should have been done, after my mother called lowes for the millionth time either to no response or no viable explanation as to why it was taking so long, the Russians disappear. No, really. They left the country and took her money according to Lowes. NOW 4 more months later there's a group of contractors. All seems fine except one guy acts suspicious. Iphone 7 plus goes missing, okay can't prove it and move on. Then, a few days ago my mother walks up her stairs, sees that the box to her $900 roomba has been tampered with. They stole it from the box that had been there for months, SCOTCH TAPED it back together, and left only the box. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY.

TERRIBLE!

DO NOT GET MAJOR APPLIANCES FROM LOWES!

What a TERRIBLE experience. I ordered a dishwasher from Lowe's.com.

First inconvenience: it took a month to get in!

Second inconvenience: 3 days prior to delivery I get an email saying my delivery window is 8am - 8pm. I guess I don't have a life? It wasn't until the morning of the delivery that they called to say they would be arriving within the hour.

Third inconvenience: They didn't offer to take the old dishwasher. The delivery men just said, "sorry, you didn't pay for it." Come to find out, after calling customer service, that's it's only a $20 charge, and they could have done it. Instead, we had to wait another 3 days for them to come back.

Fourth inconvenience: no install. This could very well have been an oversight on my part, but I don't think the online ordering process warned me about what no install really means. The dishwasher came without a power supply. Obviously, not quite plug and play.

Overall: I got the feeling that I paid about $700 for a pile of crap to just be dumped on my doorstep. Now, if I wanted to clean it up I have to wait longer and pay more.

I will NEVER order anything online from Lowe's again, or even think about getting another major appliance from them.

JUST TERRIBLE! I wish I could give a negative rating, but unfortunately 1 is the lowest I can go.
