The following is my humble opinion and I believe the following: Lowes is NOT standing behind my carpet seams(plural) problems. Denying and trying to say seam is within standards. I WILL NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRRR BUY LOWES HOME IMPROVEMENT AGAIN. Filed complaint with Better business bureau in North Carolina whom seams to protect lowes cause they closed my complaint as resolved when its NOT. Filed complaint with my local consumer affairs, lowes corporate office *******989 and *******084 ext ******* was useless and refuses to help. What a disgusting experience with Lowes and I wish I had LOOKED AT LOWES REVIEWS GOOGLED IT TO SEE SO MANY NEGATIVES. Does this seam look within standards to you? Smh they sent Gemini Flooring
Carpet and Flooring 120 Freeman Ln, Manorville, NY ******* to view seam which owner had no tools and used his car key to run along seam to take out excess glue and fibers so he claimed which left a bigger seam opening and noticeable and told me Lowes stand behinds carpet when they are NOT in my case. He also said they need to open it up and re-trim it. So how can they say it needs to be re-trim then claim its within standards? Hmmm. I will be leaving NEGATIVE REVIEWS ALL OVER INTERNET

I purchased backsplash from Lowes. They sent someone to measure. Once Lowes had the quote I made a trip to the store on Congress Ave., West Palm beach, FL. They had the wrong product # in computer. I signed the contract which had the installers picking up the product and delivering to our home, however, prior to install I got a call from the installation company asking that I get Lowes to deliver the product 48 hrs. Before install, which I did. They delivered a partial order and them I got a call from Lowes requesting I pick up the remainder when it arrived, which I did. The contract included a $ 240.00 charge for the installers delivery fee. I made three additional trips to Lowes trying to get a refund for the delivery that did not occur. After a fourth trip to Lowes the manager ( Pierre) said I would have to pay $ 79.00 for their delivery. I explained I should not have to pay since they only delivered a partial order and I had to pick up the remainder, however, he refused and deducted the $ 79.00 from my refund. To make matters worse the install was scheduled for a Thursday, but got a call saying something had happened and it was being rescheduled to Friday, however, on Friday after waiting I got a call saying the installer was on another job and they would have to reschedule on Saturday and said they were sorry for the inconvenience and would ask Lowes to give us a discount, ( which never happened). This was a personal job, however, I own a Company that has a business account with Lowes. I do not plan to do business with Lowes personal or business in the future. I hope they enjoy the $ 79.00 they ripped me for. I am sure it will cost them much more. I cannot in good conscience recommend Lowes.

Horrible
July 27, 2020

I am completely appalled at the "customer service" department at Lowe's and am completely offended at their sorry excuse to try and rectify a situation. I recently purchased materials in the amount of $2604. 64 to remodel two bathrooms. I purchased 2 vanities, 2 toilets, 2 light fixtures, 2 mirrors, tile, 2 faucets, towel rack, towel ring and toilet paper holder to be delivered to my home. The order was placed on 6/16. The faucets have yet to be delivered when their expected delivery was 7/8. The towel ring, towel rack and paper towel holder were delivered in silver when I had ordered bronze. The renovations began today and when we unboxed one of the vanities there is a LARGE crack in the wood. I called customer service and sat on hold for FIFTY EIGHT MINUTES to simply request my $65 delivery fee be refunded now that I have to lift a 218 pound vanity onto a truck and haul it back to the store myself as well as the items that were shipped in the wrong color (completely eliminates the convenience of having everything shipped to my home in the first place). I was informed that they could not do this. Again, I spent $2604. 64 at their store and at least half of my order was wrong, not shipped (over a month later), and/or damaged. I now am inconvenienced that I have to bring everything back to the store myself to return/exchange. I don't feel that it was unreasonable to request a refund of my delivery fee seeing that I now have to load everything up and bring it back to the store myself for THEIR MISTAKE. Horrible, horrible customer service. I will never, ever shop at this store again and I caution anyone to order from them. That is, unless you expect to receive 50% of your order wrong or damaged with absolutely no customer service skills or willingness to make things right.

As home owner has used lowes for several projects I hope I have finally learned my lesson. We used them for flooring in house multiple times. At one point it took over 4 months to finish one room. Well about a month ago our deep freeze went out about a week before were to get locally raised hog delivered. In a moment of we need something now, and it looked like a good price we ordered a freezer with lowes. BIG MISTAKE. Three weeks later we get a call at 7 pm on a tuesday night telling us the freezer will be delivered in the morning. Well that works out well since being employed we both work on Wednesday. Here my friends is where the fun starts, I call the lowes game of phone pong. This seems to be their fav. We call lowes to reschedule, where were told we need to call the trucking company, we call the trucking company who acts like why are you calling me you need to call lowes. After getting ahold of lowes we go well if we cant get it delivered we will just cancel. All of sudden hold, and magically she says its rescheduled saturday. OK good friday night rolls along, no phone call, hmmmm? We call lowes back. We have no record of a delivery for saturday! Needless to say we are storing the meat at our inlaws house in thier deep freeze and we will be purchasing one somewhere else. LIke someone else said they use fly by night trucking companies to deliver anything, good luck getting what you paid for. Buy from a local store if you still have one, I learned my lesson no discounted price is worth being treated like this. Stay away. Not hateful. I simply expect that if im told something by a company it will be done. Silly me.

Never Again
December 7, 2018

I had the worst experience from start to finish with Lowes delivery for a new dryer. This was my first and last thing I will every buy from Lowes that needs delivery. I ordered it online and received the email conformation. About a week later I get the second email with the estimated delivery date a few weeks out. It said in the email I would get a call the night before or the morning of with my 2 hour window for delivery. The night before I didn't get a call. Today I waited to 9am and still didn't get a call about the time. I called the 800 number on the email and the first lady says I cant see anything here about the delivery time. She transferred me to another lady that was able to tell me I am number 6 on the delivery route today. I asked about what time she thinks that will be? She said there is no way to tell. The driver will call you when he leaves drop off number 5 on his way to your house. I gave her my cell number and told her to have them call me on the cell as I have to go to work. I didn't hear anything all day. I returned home and there was a message at the house saying we will be there between 2-4 today. I got home just before 2 and was thankful I didn't miss them. The delivery truck arrived in that time frame. I was outside working and spoke to the guys as they got out of the truck. They dropped the lift and asked If I wanted the dryer in the box or out? Then They asked if they can leave it right there at the street. After I said I would like it in the garage with the washer he did. He had me sign off on it and walked out. They didn't hook up the dryer vent, power cord or plug it in to make sure it was working fine. In all my years of having things delivered to my home this was by far the worst experience I have ever had hands down.

WASHING MACHINE
March 18, 2022

IF I COULD GIVE LOWE'S NO STARS. I WOULD. WE BOUGHT A WASHING MACHINE. PAID TO HAVE IT INSTALLED. OH IT WAS INSTALLED. THEY DIDN'T HOOK UP THE DRAIN HOSE TO THE WASHER. THEY TURNED THE WASHING MACHINE ON. SO GUESS WHAT. I HAD WATER ALL OVER MY HOUSE. THEIR ONLY RESPONE WAS. OH WE FORGET. DIDN'T BOTHER TO CLEAN IT UP ASK ME TO GET SOME TOWELS AND DO IT MYSELF. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE. TO EXPLAIN THE PROBLEM AND WAS TOLD THEY SUB CONTRACT. SO IT WAS NOT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. GAVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL FOR THE CONTRACTOR. SO I CALLED 6 TIMES. NO ONE WOULD CALL ME BACK. UNTIL I SENT PICTURES TO THEM AND SAID... MAYBE THIS WILL GET YOUR ATTENTION. OH THEN THEY CALLED RIGHT BACK. I WAS CUSSED AT SCREAMED AT AND TOLD THEY WOULD NEVER HOOK UP A WASHING MACHINE LIKE THAT. THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. I WAS TOLD I WAS LYING. SO NOTHING WAS DONE. WHEN MY HUSBAND CAME HOME. WE HAD TO MOVE EVERYTHING TO GET ALL THE WATER UP AND HE HAD TO FIX THE HOSES HIS SELF. I ALSO FAILED TO MENTION. THEY HAD THE HOT AND COLD HOSES. WRONG AND TWISTED... NEVER AGAIN WILL I DEAL WITH. LOWE'S ON ANY LEVEL...

I ordered a BBQ grill online, they said delivery will be March 5th, then emailed me and said March 12th. Fine. I take the day off work. I get a call at 730am on the 12th confirming delivery between 830am and 1230pm. At 230pm, still no BBQ, I call the people (delivery service) that called me, they say the driver is running alittle late, he is less than 2 miles away doing a delivery and should be here soon. 6pm. still no BBQ, but by this time I had already invited a bunch of people over for BBQ, thinking I should have my BBQ here by 4 anyway. So I call the delivery people back, they have no idea what happened, but tell me that the driver returned my item to the store, so I call Lowes, they can't find it and also have no idea where it is. A manager is supposed to call me back. It's almost 730pm. Still no call back. Keep in mind, I have a bunch of hungry people here that I now have to order take out for costing me another 200 bucks. Why can't someone reach the driver? Does he not have a cell phone? This is not a difficult problem. But they made it miserable.

Expected a little more from the paint department. Virginia, who was trying to make me a paint sample match with the color sample I gave them, had absolutely no idea what she was doing, was just lazy and incompetent. She couldn't figure out how to make the color match, so she just started spitting out lousy explanations and excuses, like " unfortunately" it is so difficult to match a color in a sample size, and that i need to buy a bigger size, and also they don't recommend doing touch ups and, and instead, I'd need to paint the entire wall (what?), and that's because it's just so so so so hard for her (she was referencing the whole paint department) to make a correct paint sample. Does Virginia even understand the purpose and the concept of samples? I didn't know how else and in what language to explain to her that I couldn't just keep buying big sizes of paint that weren't the right color and returning them. She just stood there and argued back. I insisted that she makes another sample. But this time I had to tell her to adjust the color manually, and to add a drop of darker color to the original mix, because the sample kept coming out too light (how hard is it to figure that out?). She was unhappy that I weren't giving up and making her do this extra work, and she definitely showed it, but she still had to do it. The color came out spot on, go figure. I told her that obviously when she puts an effort in actually doing her job, it works out. LOL, she had nothing to say, and walked away. Needless to say, I am not impressed. I went to Home Depot to see how they would manage. They matched it with no problems and no attitude, so I'll be buying paint there. I will not take my business to Lowe's with that kind of nonsense.

Untrained personel
July 31, 2023

Winchester Ky Lowes...Most employees don't know anything about the products, pathetic plant selection, mandatory self-checkout. The only good thing about the store is the lumber yard. This is the kind of experience you can expect... 7/29/23 I go to buy a full pallet of black mulch (75 bags) I asked the employees to get the fork extenders so the load would clear my trailer ramp, after finally describing what for extenders were and what they are used for I was told they were broke, really... broke? It's a set of metal sleeves. When I said forget it, I would go up front and get my money back they decided to go to the Lumber yard and get the "broken extenders" On 7/31/23 I go back and get 70 bags of black premium mulch and had the privilege of getting to educate 2 more employees on what fork extender are and why we needed them, they kept telling me they wasn't allowed to take them outside. The thought I was asking for the little stand-up fork truck with scissor extensions they use inside. After telling them the guy that used them just a few days ago got them from the lumber yard they finally went and came back with them. I had already unloaded half of the bags onto the front of the trailer so he could set the reduced pallet on the back. He proceeded to set the weight of the pallet on the tail of the trailer and drop the forks as far down as possible. Anyone that has even a little forklift experience knows better than that, the forks and the full weight of the pallet were pushing the trailer down so much I thought he was going to break the axle. I tried telling them and got the "shut up and let us do our job" look, and after a few minutes of watching truly untrained employees at work who were dumbfounded and out of options I had to explain how to raise the load off the trailer and tip the pallet forward allowing the pallet weight to hold it as they back out. (Yes, I've drove a forklift before, and I was properly trained). I have to check myself out and now it seems I would do better if they hand me the keys to the forklift so I can load myself too. If the customers are going to have to do everything including training your staff, we should at least get an employee discount.

I found a piece of equipment I needed on Lowes.com. It had mostly 5 star reviews but a significant number of 1 star reviews. It seemed like it would suffice so I went to Lowe's and bought it. The equipment self destructed after several uses. I called the manufacturer who sent a repair kit to arrive in 10 to 14 business days. I needed my equipment to work yesterday, not in a few weeks so I called up Lowe's and found it was still returnable. I did return it but stupidly bought another identical item rather than take the time to go shopping elsewhere. The new equipment fell apart during the first use of less than 30 minutes. A minor problem but tedious to repair.

From there I left a less than complimentary 1 star review about the quality of the equipment while commending Lowe's for their return policy. My review generated a response from the manufacturer's rep with instructions which I followed. The manufacturer did sent parts but they sent the wrong parts. I called again and was told they didn't actually stock the part that fell off my machine. Too bad, so sad. I had to either return it to Lowe's for refund or remove parts and mail back to them so they could justify reimbursement.

Here's where it gets funny. I posted a followup review that wasn't any nicer than the original. Lowe's not only failed to post my new review, they removed my original review.

Then by arranging the sort order of the site from oldest reviews to newest reviews I noticed the first 75 reviews carry the notation of [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] And guess what? That was the end of the long string of 5 star reviews and that is where the long string of one star reviews began. Deleting my original 1 star review did bring the ratio of 1 star to 5 star reviews to under 30%
