Purchased the Steelcase Leap V2 in black fabric after doing extensive research on ergonomic chairs. Chose this over the Herman Miller Aeron, and don't regret it. Madison seating has probably the best deals online, and shipping was pretty quick as well. Our chair did come damage due to shipping unfortunately, however I reached out to their customer service team and they were quick to respond and handle the matter easily. Would definitely purchase from them again, great customer service!

I bought a Steelcase Leap v2 from Madison Seating last week. When it arrived I assembled it and put it in my office to use the next day for work. It is so uncomfortable compared to a 5 year old RETAIL version of the Steelcase leap v2 that my girlfriend owns. The refurbishment was very poorly done, chair wobbles, lumbar is bad, cushions are hard, material is cheap and rough. The lumbar support is so intense and using the adjustment just makes it worse (I compared the lumbar support to the exact same chair model my girlfriend has). You can visibly see the lumbar support pushing on the back rest and distorting it. The fabric is very rough and the cushions are no where near as comfortable as the RETAIL version of the chair. I reached out to Madison Seating customer service and after a few canned responses they finally said "Please return the chair and find another vendor to furnish your office chair needs."

Now that I am working from home, I needed a comfortable chair with lumbar support. I ended up purchasing the same chair that we have at work because I already knew it was comfortable and durable. The company was quick responding to all of my questions.

Though I tried to contact their customer service team many times, they just don't respond in time and kept making excuses for the delayed shipment, which is truly annoying. In the latest email, they even blamed me for not sending the email to "explicitly confirm the order to proceed" after they told me the delayed date the second time. I guess there might be some serious problems going on in their supply side and they want to push me cancel the order from my side.
Anyway, don't order anything on this website if you want to get your chair within a reasonable time. But if you are willing to wait for half a year, then give it a try and good luck.

Same issue as many other reviewers on here. Ordered a Herman Miller chair three months ago and it still hasn't arrived. Deadlines they give for delivery keep getting missed as they keep changing their delivery time. They don't even answer their phone and tell you to email them. Wish we never ordered a chair from these scam artists.

I recently ordered an open box Humanscale Freedom task chair from Madison Seating's Ebay store. The seller shipped the order within a week, but FedEx delayed the arrival, and they unfortunately damaged the chair significantly during shipping. The chair itself is in apparent new/like new condition, with no damage that does not align with the exterior damage to the box.

When I contacted them, Madison Seating responded promptly--within the same business day--to my email regarding this issue. Rather than shipping the damaged chair back, they offered an arrangement to send a new chair at their cost. Provided the new chair arrives safely, I am pleased with my interaction with Madison Seating and would purchase from them again.

I received a chair that somehow would not assemble properly. The people at Madison were exceptionally responsive, sending replacement parts and ultimately agreeing to replace the chair at no additional cost with expedited processing. It takes a great company to deal with problems in such a responsive manner and would make me want to order through them again. Also, the chair is offered at exceptional value pricing. Thank you Madison!

I ordered a chair from Madison Seating and there were some scuff marks on the arm rests. I notified them of the issue and the immediately shipped out replacement arm rests at no additional charge. No hassle, no fuss. This is how customer service should work. Oh, also, the chair I purchased was at a significant discount vs. full retail cost. This business is a lier who will use your credit card without approval. I bought a chair on this website and two week later they charge me an extra fee on my credit card without notifying me. I contacted them by email Friday Morning but their customer said they are closed on Friday then refused to reply nor provide a correct explanation.

Tip for consumers:
Don't use this website at least no use credit card

The customer used our Fedex account to make unauthorized changes to the shipment while it was in transit to his location. These changes were not covered by our FREE shipping promotion and therefore charged to his account. We emailed him several times regarding the charges and respectfully asked him not use our Fedex account in the future for any service changes.

We ordered 7 Leap chairs from Madison Seating. Upon delivery we found three were broken. We sent an email with photos to customer service and received a response and satisfactory resolution within the day. We would definitely order from them again based on their excellent customer service.

Ordered a supposedly in stock chair at the beginning of December, with their site and order confirmation saying in stock items should ship in 10-14 days.

By the start of January I had received zero communication from the company as to possible delays or any status on the order. I had to email them asking where the order was, and their response was it will be delivered mid to late January, despite specifically trying to order an in stock item.

Filed a BBB complaint about the misleading advertising and poor communication. Their response to this was to outright cancel the order in retaliation.

Save your money, time, and energy. Ordering from this company is a gamble that you'll ever actually receive your items, and if you do, it'll probably be next quarter.

Tip for consumers:
If you're thinking of ordering from this site, don't. Zero customer service, and a completely unknown time window for when you'll actually receive your items. Check the multiple reviews of people not getting their items even after months of waiting.

I ordered a few chairs, and they sent me the wrong color. After contacting them through email, btw the only way to communicate with them. They would not ship the correct color I ordered and offered me to ship the items back at my cost of over $100.00 due to their error. I just felt like they do not care about their customers at all. Absolutely a terrible experience.

I ordered 2 chairs and specificed the color and they sent me the wrong color. They would not own up to it and correct the mistake. They were argumentative via email and I got the feeling they just don't care about their customers.

Pretty straight forward business, nothing that's off about their products & services, which is a breath of fresh air in the age of shady and distasteful ecommerce landscape.

I don't know why no one had a good experience! This truly was such a breeze. Asked the sales rep a few questions, placed the order and received it all in one week! Everyone was friendly and the technician sat on the phone for twenty minutes helping me learn how to use my chair. I want everyone to try this company

I bought the Ergo Elite Office Chair in May of 2017. Love it! After about 2 years, it started creaking a bit and slowly increased over the next year until it was quite loud. I emailed Madison and asked for a manual on how to open the seat casing and lubricate the springs. In less than a week, I had a replacement seat sent to me! I just had to take the back, arms, and cylinder/legs off and put on the new seat. It was amazing! I expected a manual and got a new seat instead! This is by far the best customer service I've ever received on a product and the speed in which they took care of me - less than a week from my email until the replacement seat was at my door - is stunning! Madison Seating is now the only place I will shop for future purchases and will gladly refer to anyone.

They sent me a chair with a missing part (it's the tilt arm, chair is unusable without it). They claimed it was described on the website as missing that piece. NOT TRUE, they can't provide the listing showing that was how it was listed for sale. It was one of 5 I purchased and other 4 were complete. Refusing to replace. INCREDIBLE. The have offered a return at my shipping cost, which would cost me more than I paid for the chair. If you purchase just be aware that the guarantee is a SHAM and all sales are final with them.

The review is completely inaccurate. The chair this buyer selected was not advertised, nor was he charged, for the features he requested. The chair was not "missing" the features, as it was not advertised to include those functions. The chair comes in many different models that include different functions and accessories. The buyer received the correct model chair he purchased with the features that were advertised.

This company went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with my order through them. Upon receiving my order in the mail I noticed that there was damage done to the item during the shipping process which was obviously out of their control. I reached out to their customer service department and they let me know that in order to avoid any further inconvenience they would provide me with a new replacement item and I could keep the damaged item free of charge. Horrible customer service. Rude and unprofessional.
I ordered a chair with upgraded casters that were advertised on their website as "Deep carpet". However, the casters I received were not rated for high-pile rugs and carpets by the manufacturer and do not work on deep carpet.
Never received a refund or replacement.
Took almost 3 months for the chairs to arrive.

This buyer received the correct casters per her request. The casters will only work on commercial grade carpet. We advised the buyer that she would need to buy a mat if the chair was being used on deep plush carpets or rugs.

I'm updating a previous negative review I left for Madison Seating to say that despite my initial bad impression, when I was mailed a broken chair and left with it for a month, as of today, Sara from Madison Seating reached out, she was very apologetic and kind, and said this never should have happened. She is now not only sending me the replacement parts I needed, but also a second chair at no cost, as an apology. I feel much better about Madison Seating's customer service after this, and the company as a whole. It appears that I simply dealt with one very rude customer service rep the entire time, and I'm hopeful now that this experience was the exception, not the rule. The positive experience of having them go above and beyond to correct their mistake is worth more to me than the initial bad impression they left.

Shipping was timely with tracking. I had an issue with my chair, and reached out to them. They kindly offered instructions, though that didn't work out well in my case either. They were kind enough to offer a replacement. Would 100% buy another chair from them in the future.

I've used Madison Seating on three separate occasions. The first time was in 2020 and it all went fairly smooth and the chair had some flaws but for the value I was fine with it. Unfortunately that chair broke in 2021 and had to stop using it. I purchased the same chair in 2021 and have not had any issues with it. The quality was a little better than the one purchased in 2020. The last chair and reason for my review was purchased in 2023. The chair arrived and cosmetically looked just as good as the second chair. The issue was with the stability of the back. You can hear the chair making noises when leaning back and it was not supporting my back as firmly as the past two chairs did. Since Madison offers a 30 Day money back guarantee I requested a return. They expect me to pay for a return of a defective item. Instead of arguing with them I simply told them I will eat the cost as a business expense. Stay away from this company. They are not operating in good faith.

I'd advise against doing business with them.

I recently ordered an office chair from Madison Seating. The chair was sent promptly, and was packaged well. Unfortunately, the chair had a small defect (the raise/lower hydraulics were stuck). I got in touch with the company's customer service; they sent me a couple of suggested remedies, and when those didn't do the trick, they decided to send me a replacement item. Really appreciate their responsiveness and their willingness to fix the situation.
