I signed up and started to browse profiles and almost ALL of the ladies are not even in the USA. They all have the same excuse. They are from Florida, or Texas or California but are currently out of the states. Then they give you their number and tell you text only as their connection is bad for phone conversation. The ones that do call sound like tribal elders and not even ladies. Lets not forget the numerous ladies profiles that have, TEXT ME, and they give you a number on their profile picture. Match.com is a scam site... dont spend your money on it. Hell, go out to a club. At least you might find a real live woman. Not some fake trying to scam you over the internet

I agree with some reviewers: If you can't make it on Match or Mingle2day you are not gonna make it on any other site. There are 1000s of dating sites and trust me: Those two are the only sites which worked for me. Sure, I have used dating apps, but that is just to spend some time if you are bored.

IMO: Go out guys, meet girls offline! It works just great! And if you still want to do online dating: Go for those (few) established sites!

Come on guys, who can possibly defend this obvious scam! I had all the troubles in the world to get rid of my profile, I finally ask for a company to help me get through it all! At least THEY were efficient (sos-internet) and got me rid of the subscription and my profile!

These people (Match.com administrators) are sickening. I paid for a year and, after 1 month, I get a message saying my account has been terminated. I had no idea why, and asked them. They referred me to their "Terms of Use", which is voluminous and complicated. I read it anyway and didn't see anything I did to violate any of their terms. I asked them to clarify and they refused to tell me why they terminated my account.

In the meantime, I had spent hundreds of hours cultivating relationships on the site, only to have all of those conversations become inaccessible to me as I can't log on to the site.

AND, they have my money and refuse to refund it.

I would not recommend anybody using this site, as you could be wasting a LOT of time and money, should they arbitrarily decide to pull the rug out from under you for no reason.

I am picky, friends talked me into it and it was the best thing I ever did! I met an amazing man. We have been together 3 years and are getting married this December. I couldn't imagine my life without him he's definitely the best thing to ever happen to me. There's certainly a lot of good/bad to everything but I would recommend this to everyone. Good luck.

Okay this site may have its issues but you know what I like the site and it allows people to meet others from all over the place and for me that really is a plus when it comes to this site. Yes there are bad elements but this site does have good elements too. Its all part of life. For my vote this site gets a good rating!

I met someone on Match the first week. He was the only man I corresponded with. Within a matter of days he asked for money. He was reported immediately to Match. I called Match requesting my money back. The agent I spoke with said he saw no record of my complaint. However, I received an acknowledgment from Match. Then I was told they NEVER refund money. If that's why I was calling he would hang up because I could not speak with a supervisor. Remember that with Match it's all about the money and not about you or your safety.

I have been a member of Match.com for almost one year. I haven't found any girl which had girlfriend material but I enjoyed plenty of good dates and met dozens of nice women. Conclusion: Absolutely good dating site and I think it may be the biggest I have found.

Only reason why I stopped using it was because I found Mingle2day.com being a better site for my needs. It is pretty similar to Match.com but it was more affordable for me.

Match.com is a great dating site. Don't pay attention to all those frustrated reviewers trying to make you believe that it is a scam because it is simply not!

One day in and I already see the flaws. Two people contacted me to try to get my personal information. None of the attractive people I saw when I was previewing the site were available once I paid. The customer service department is rude.

This site is a rip off. They give you a "6 month guarantee", however the only thing you can be guaranteed is that you will be charged again and will NOT receive your 6 months free. Not only did I get charged again 120$ but they also did not give the 6 months free and will not refund the 120$ that I did not authorize. Sending the same matches over and over again and people with no pictures or that haven't even been active in over 3 weeks... Is not reasonable. Then saying I didn't meet the criteria by not sending 5 emails a month to people is never had contact with... What a joke! I could have done that but it's about a real connection, not meeting a requirement. I would never re come d this sure to anyone! Save your money and aggravation! And they are very unhelpful if you call. Word of myth us key, they can keep my money but I will make sure people know to be aware!

Listen, I wanted to get into a relationship, I really did. I'm just a busy, grown adult who doesn't have time or patience to go clubbing or any of that other stupid crap. I get on match.com, and get the paid membership, because I really want something to happen. What do I get in return? Almost 90% of people my age aren't paying members (Not to mention that half of them were last online "Beyond three weeks ago"), which means that they can't speak on instant messenger, or anything else. What is the point? There is none! You can't talk to potential dates because nobody wants to shell out such a large sum of money just to meet people! I know what you must be thinking reading this, that I DO need to go out more, and do all the partying that my friends have done in the past. Perhaps I will. Match.com is a scam, and it sucks. Don't ever use it. EVER! It is a horrible waste of time and money.

Not sure how they are not shut down? The beautiful women on this site are not real. Many women use the site. Match purposely trys to entice you in with fake profiles. I have had all kinds of women on other sites show interest and I have been able to message them without additional little charges, even if they are not paying members. Within 2 days on another site I am talking with 6 different women on whatsapp.

Awful! They keep sending me so called matches even though I have cancelled my subscription. I have asked repeatedly to have emails stop. It is a scam! I made it clear that I am lesbian yet they kept sending me men matches... scary looking men! Match never answered my complaints. They just fill my inbox with emails about matches. No one should be my match because I removed all content from my profile when they refused to take my profile down.

I signed up for three months based on all the hype. So far it's been terrible. The quality of men on the site is not good. I have been on free sites with much better success. Definitely will not renew subscription.

The men there NEVER answer. If they happen to answer run because they are stalkers or African scam artists. I was approached by all the wrong men. You can specify if something totally turns you off so you get matched with smokers, drinkers, whatever. They were all matched with me. Not worth the money. By the way, full disclosure... I was kicked off the site. I have no idea why. They didn't tell me. They just said I did something wrong and they were terminating my account and refunding my money. So, if you want a refund piss someone off. Lol

This site is total disappointment. They renewed my membership automatically for $98 and I caught it days after on my mastercard and they would not refund. On site a year and its the same people, even the users who no longer pay. Its a scam and no one is accountable. Site has not worked half the time and service is terrible. POF way better and free.

A 65 year old man contacted me with a nice message. I wasn't going to pursue it because he was really too old for me. But, i thought i would bend a little. So, i wrote back. I saw him online numerous times over the course of the next 9 days, and he never responded back to me. I should have known there was something up. He had in his profile a list of 3 bars he likes. He must of sent me a message while drunk at the bar & had a fleeting moment of 'interest'.
This is typical. The site is filled with men who are easily distracted, unmotivated and/or already taken.
I have quit the site for good. This site is a time and money waster.

I keep getting all sorts of emails from match.com, that so and so, wants to meet me, matches who have sent me emails, winks, etc. even though I canceled my account several months ago. I click scam on every email they send me, but they send new emails form alternate email addresses.

Besides being annoyed with all the emails from match, I realize that my profile is still up on this dating site. I also remember some matches on match.com (when I was still a member) telling me that they joined match because they saw my profile and wanted to meet me. If my profile, and other canceled members profiles on match, are still up and running on match, then this is for sure a scam.

I have tried to contact match regarding this matter, but was holding for more than 30 min, so I hang up. I wish there was a law against this kind of scam and practices.

These sites are ALL the same with many operated by the same parent company.

Tip: If you decide to join to ANY in the future only use Paypal (not a credit card). So far I have gotten refunds super quick from 2 scam sites that didn't live up to the hype. Also on PP, you can opt your settings to block auto renewals if they try to charge you again.

Sadly some ONLY offer payment via credit card, so stay away from those 100% if you do not want to empty your bank account.

I had a problem with false emails. Their answer was that it was impossible for their service to do what it was clearly. Their email replied to my request to look at the sender's and got an answer that the sender didn't exist at the time. It then forwarded me to their web site.

I do not do business with people like this. I reversed the payment on my credit card for my membership.

Definitely don't us them!

This company is a total rip off. They will just keep charging you even after you cancelled your subscription 6 months ago. So go to your bank and cancel your card before they can take more money even if they tell you they have cancelled your subscription. They will even tell you that they will send you an email of the cancellation yet you will not see one. Or should I say I haven't seen one and I have cancelled now twice this year and haven't used the site in months. However to my surprise they charged me again. And they refuse to refund my money when no services have been rendered. This company sucks and be careful for the male scammers on this site as well, they probably work for Match.

This company treats you like crap! BE CAREFUL with all their sneaky charges. Customer service SUCKS!!!!! Its REALLY difficult to cancel your account and when you do cancel it, they keep your profile up for other people to see, but of course you can't see them. You have to call them personally, to get your profile removed. That is def a invasion of privacy, to keep my profile up after I canceled it. SO just make sure you read the fine print. I canceled my account 6 months ago and found out today, it was still running! They only gave me a partial refund, even though the error was on their end! They could see that I had not logged into my account since the day I cancel it. I demanded to speak to a supervisor but the woman told me they don't have supervisors (NO JOKE!)!

This site is very dishonest. High percentage of scammer ( Russian or Nigerian) profiles, plus a very high number of faked accounts that I assume are created by a match.com bot. The same 3 line profile is repeated over and over and over with different phitos. Stay clear and don't waste your money
