“I've been using Match for about two years and I must say I'm very pleased with their service.”

I've been using Match for about two years and I must say I'm very pleased with their service. They have a large user base, and the website is simple to navigate. I was looking for a relationship but didn't want to get hurt again, so I tried online dating sites. In my opinion, Match Online Dating Sites is by far the best online dating site. They have many users from all over the world who are very friendly and easygoing!

“Match and OkCupid”

Paul W.

Match, "customer service", does not communicate. I was banned from Match due to something that my ex-wife did on their site. I had to investigate this. Match refused to investigate. They claim the right to ban without explanation. Ok Cupid is owned by Match. I was banned on Ok Cupid, as well. I had to contact my bank to have my fees reversed. They'll even try to keep your money.

I decided to go online as I was moving to a new city. Been doing a little research and decided on Mingle2day, Match and a few free chat sites which were a waste of time, btw. Sticked to Mingle2day and Match and upgraded my profile on both sites rotationally. Really happy that I did. Haven't found anything serious yet but chattet and met with some nice women. Both sites are easy to use and really cost effective. I see no reason to complain.

First of all, I can't imagine why they cancelled me. I had been a free customer and finally decided to try a paid membership because I had received several emails and I wanted to see who they were from. So I paid for a membership and responded to the emails I had received - and a few hours later I am abruptly cancelled for no reason?!
AND more importantly, I have NOT received a refund! I sent an email and they said that I received a refund... LIARS! I sent them a copy of my statement to prove I had received no refund and still they don't respond. What kind of a scam are they running?
UNBELIEVABLE!

Skip this dating app. They automatically renew your membership, then when I called the SAME DAY THE RENEWED me and asked to cancel and get a full refund, they refused to refund my funds but cancelled my subscription anyway. Basically stole from me and would not budge on this. Absolutely horrible customer service and business practice.

I STRONGLY ADVISE TO AVID THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS.
This site should reconsider their policies, their apps and there customer service.
Please save yourself the money and DO NOT become a member for any reason. Ok Cupid is much better and cheaper if you want to be a member. In comparison Ok Cupid has so many more people and Match.com is the most expensive and no one is on the site. I never even check my match.com account. I made a HUGE mistake of getting 6 months thinking it would really help me find someone. They REFUSE to refund your money and only say they will be happy to take you off the auto renewal, well thanks for nothing match.com

I signed up for Match on the 19th hated it and asked for my money back, the app suck, the people working there have no idea what they're doing and hung up on me twice. Finally called my visa to get my money back from this site and she spoke to a "manager " clearly the whole place doesn't know how to make customers happy or understand what I'm saying. I was even asking for half the money back as I only used it 3 days. The people on there weren't for me and it's nothing what they say! I will never suggest anyone to use Match. Worst experience and worst people working there! SAVE YOUR MONEY! If you want an online dating site GO TO EHARMONY!

Oh, how do you give 0 stars? Where do I start? They want your credit card for starters... on a trial membership that locks you in if you do not cancel... via online. I had trouble the 2nd. I phone in but was locked out during the help call. I was told it woild take 2 days to get comtacted about the problem. Meaning that I woild be locked in for 3 months according to the contract agreement. I cancelled my credit card payment to avoid a problem. But this was just the tip of the iceberg sort of speaking. I could go on and on but why was more of my time on this poor site. Just so you know, I have been on 4 others sites one "sucks" the most. Try POF for a far better time and a connection without the luggage this site carries.

You have to have a cell phone as there's no other way, according to them, they can verify who you are. I'm not sure how a cell phone gives them the information they say they need, but who am I to argue. After joining for an hour you have to verify your cell phone… And then after that you have to verify your email address. I've been waiting since yesterday for them to send me an email in order to verify my account.

It took less than an hour to get my first bimbo to email me about her site. Why else would a 25-year-old from 2000 miles away be interested in me especially considering I'm over double her age. Couple that with expired profiles, limited choices in your area, and their selective use of pictures of only pretty women for their advertisements and also for all of the profiles you look at before you join. See, you put in for the trial membership... Where you live and what you're looking for age wise etc... and low and behold all these pictures of all these pretty women come up. And of course they're enticing you to join the entire time so at a minimum, you think you have "choices". Needless to say… I gave it a chance, joined, filled in the required areas before I could email someone... and low and behold… Out of 100 women I had a choice of two. The rest were all fat, ugly, dressed like grandmas, looks like they just crawled out of a crack den or in some of their cases, they were only separated from their husbands even though I put that down in my search to not include!

The site is as big of a scam as the women that are on it.

Tip for consumers:
Honestly guys… Go bump your cart into someone in the grocery store! At least you know they are real, what they look like TODAY and you know that they are actually “there“ and not a figment of your imagination, LOL

That's exactly what I did... Cashiers check bc I knew from the bad reviews they would not be trusted with your CreditCard#! Was quoted by 2 ppl in Phillipines call center a 2 month rate of $22. Per month, even got their name & employee #. Sent Cashier ck with that exact quoted amount, never rec'd acknowledgment of my payment. Called them 2 wks later and said that was for ONLY 1 month... what a scam. After hour long fone call said they would make a one time exception, and denied the quoted amount! Sent 15 emails never received a reply... zero bc they were obviously NON Paying members or fake profiles. Why hasn't class action lawsuit started against Match? I'm sure they will lock my acct after 30 days which is coming within days, but SO glad I'm ripped for only $44! NEVER give them ur CreditCard#

I've replied to most of them and sent maybe 30 messages not 1 profile has even read my messages and some were replies to their message. These profiles are Match employees I'll bet they have very few real members don't waste your money try the free sites like Plenty of fish, Tinder, Meet me Bumble is also FAKE

I know there are some of us who don't necessarily follow online media. Let's face it, some of it is about as accurate as weekly world news. However, should you Google "match group scandal" you may find yourself unpleasantly surprised.

Let me break it down for you: match.com is owned by the match group, as is plenty of fish, Tinder, and hinge. Recently, they got caught in the act of utilizing Shady business practices. What they were doing. And Tinder is STILL doing was sending people emails and blurred photos of fake matches. I've always felt these Services utilized a pretty poor business model. And seeing how they were trying to trick people into paying for a membership by utilizing this tactic it just makes me feel dirty. I mean, a lot of us have success with online dating and a lot of us has horror stories. It honestly feels like all of this is split right up the middle. So when you knowingly dupe a potential customer into paying for your service by utilizing a bot you throw that "we take catfish seriously mentality" right out the window.

All this does is reinforce the fact that many of us should just get ourselves out there in the real world and join some sort of social function like a board gaming group, local cleanup effort, or other community event, and not rely so much on a computer to play matchmaker.

Ugh. Horrible site. Long after I'd cancelled my subscription, I realized my pretty face was still being used as bait: doesn't a cancellation mean, um, a consumer is NO LONGER IN NEED/WANT OF THEIR SERVICES?
Took me forever to get it removed, and then I was scolded by a "customer care" person for not knowing that I was supposed to navigate through the fine print when I'd cancelled, and check a number of boxes-- it was quite convoluted-- that said I wanted my profile off the site. "But see" I argued, "that's what a cancellation IS." Ladies, save your money. Crash your cart into a cute guy's cart in a grocery aisle, instead. Terrible company.

Just coming to the end of a 6 month subscription, doubt they would ever publish a review done actually on their site from me... After 6 months, yielded zero dates, very little contact with anyone, but hell that is just the way it is I guess, once you fall over the 50 hill pretty much burnt up I guess...

As for the site, where to start, the first is the review and reject process for profiles, even though I never use profanity, abusive, obscene or unsuitable language, nor add any links phone numbers or infringe any of their 'rules', had quite a job to add a profile description.

Then of course there is the continuous advertising, buy this add on, buy this add on, then the bull$#*! with Match Affinity, it would appear even handing over money, you get a service hell bent on trying to sell you more services. End result, avoid, may well work for some, but the site is dreadful, it used to be good, used this site before it got bought out and crammed full of crap, this time round it fails to deliver on so many levels, leaves you with a sense of huge disappointment... Had way more fun for free on PoF (same owners), which whilst it also tries to up sell you all the time, it has a more relaxed attitude, if this is the future of dating, then maybe I will just get back into sailing and meeting real people, over a real beer...

Their price tag doesnt justify the low quality of matches they provide. In addition to this issue, their customer service is HORRIBLE and they are unwilling to provide refund information or resolutions. When you finally get a rep, then you get bounced around multiple times to people that barely speak English and dont care to help you. I wouldnt recommend this service or their website considering what youre paying for just to meet LOW caliber people.
