Match has a rating of 1.2 stars from 1,207 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about Match most frequently mention customer service, credit card, and fake profiles problems. Match ranks 652nd among Dating sites.
I've been using Match for about two years and I must say I'm very pleased with their service. They have a large user base, and the website is simple to navigate. I was looking for a relationship but didn't want to get hurt again, so I tried online dating sites. In my opinion, Match Online Dating Sites is by far the best online dating site. They have many users from all over the world who are very friendly and easygoing!
Match, "customer service", does not communicate. I was banned from Match due to something that my ex-wife did on their site. I had to investigate this. Match refused to investigate. They claim the right to ban without explanation. Ok Cupid is owned by Match. I was banned on Ok Cupid, as well. I had to contact my bank to have my fees reversed. They'll even try to keep your money.
I used match for a little while, I had a deal on a 6 mo. Subscription but stopped using it after 3 months bc I got back together with my ex bf. I didnt/forgot to turn off auto renew and I was charged double what I originally paid 6 mos later. I immediately tried to contact match but there was no phone # at first but after writing an email a message popped up w the #. I opened a dispute w my credit card and also called match and asking for a refund, at first she offered me about 60% of the total charge, I gave a very assertive no and told her I wanted the whole thing refunded! She put me on hold for a minute but came back and told me I would get a full refund. All it took was one phone call. After seeing all of the bad reviews I wanted to get the word out, they gave me what I wanted!

I was only on the site for one month and in that time I was contacted by three scammers. They put up fake profiles and when you contact them they're good at responding back with texts and emails claiming they have good professional jobs. They even call you from a local number but the give away is they have an accent. They will claim they're Italian or from Vienna and they're most likely Nigerian scammers. They will put off meeting you with job excuses and eventually they ask you for money. They are very good and it's a very sophisticated scam. Report them to Match right away so their profile can be taken down. DO NOT SEND THEM MONEY.

Match.com is a total scam!
Be ready to call them as soon as u subscribed to cancel your membership that u wont be change after renewal! Because once they charged you there policy is no refund policy! I live in NY and im shocked that yesterday the company charged me 88$ for the next 3 month, today i noticed it and called them up to cancel and get a refund and they basically told me to $#*! off. It is outrageous that they wont give me no full no partial refund! Their response was- You've been using our website for a DAY!. WTF. So charge me a dollar for it and give me the refund of 87$, will you? Nope, no refunds. I would love to see where the ratings are coming from that Match.com is the number 1 dating website? Im a customer and im not satisfied w matches and customer support and there is no Yelp or Zagat to rate it

Absolutely horrible customer service! I was auto renewed without any notification! I have disputed the over $50 charge for one more month! No desire to have another month. I will be sure to tell any one of my single friends to Steer Cleat of this horrible company with deplorable (at best) customer service!

Although it is not a big money, to be careful of your subscription cancellation as no one like their money be stolen. First, check if there is a confirmation letter for cancellation to your mailbox. Keep it. It can be used as evidence when there is unauthorized charging in the future. Second, is it weird that you cannot remove your card information from the website? If you cannot remove it, the bank will always pay if match think you still have a subscription.
I have been suffered 2 times strange charging from this website, and is my reminder to you.

I have emailed Match 3 instances of where women have shaved 4 to 5 years off their ages., and all Match has to do is check their own records to see that this is the case. Yet these women are still active on Match. Money over integrity nd I m sure thst men do the same. Beware,

I left the over 50's French branch of this organisation last year and they are still stealing money from my account every month. They now want me to phone them, AT MY EXPENCE, to try and sort it out. Several emails to them and still no further forward. Once you profile has been set up the company has virtually no on going charges to maintain your account so it is all straight profit for them

This is the epitome of taking advantage of people"s emotion. Do believe all of the complaints you read posted by current and former users of Match. Com. DO NOT BELIEVE the false stories and advertisements that this company throws at you. Or, spend the money and find out for yourself! They should be prosecuted for false and misleading representation...

I wanted a refund my subscription for the two months that I did not use. Thank you. This service is the biggest joke and rip off that I have ever encountered. I would never recommend this service to anyone. The fact that I paid for months that I will not be using and I can't get that money back. It is such a scam service

This site is scam, group of photos, and no women behind, the admins serving the program reply to your massages and texts. Sometimes the program responds by clashes answers, they steal your money, non honest, the government should shut these sites off

I just called Match.com customer service to request a refund because they renewed my membership without sending me an email saying that they were going to do that. I spoke to Andres and to his manager Wilson R and they both refused to help me. They were both extremely rude and didn't want to hear what I had to say. Match.com has the worst customer service ever and they don't care about their customers. I will never recommend this site again becuase they just want our money.

I had been on the site for about 9 months and had more interests and likes from scammers than real profiles. My account was hacked by a scammer. I reported a scammer to their customer service and they did not remove their site.

Match.com should be closed down for bad business practice. They've always scammed their customers by taking an additional payment without making it clear but now they've made it harder to cancel the hidden direct debit. The sooner they close down the better as they've been taking advantage of their clients for far to long.

I am a first time Trier. I have been on for two months. I have been contacted by two women and after a couple of letters back and forth, one wanted me to "Buy " her time for her cell phone so she could talk to me straight away. (First RED flag.) The next one said that she was enroute to "Turkey" for a contract she has been working on. When she was supposedly at J. F. K. Airport, she sent word that her reservations were screwed up and needed three hundred dollars to fix the problem. (Not sent.)
Then she again sent word that she was in Turkey and needed another three thousand dollars to rent a sewing machine. When I refused, she stopped sending me anything and I haven't heard from her since. Then I met a third lady and so far it seems to be going good. But only time will tell the full story.

Curt44 winked on 08/31/15, so I sent a response email. About 3 days later the email is not read and he showed up in the search as not active for over 3 weeks. I am disappointed and disgusted in this site. I believe many of my matches are folks that are no longer active

I signed up for 1 month which i thought was only one month. Just found the charges called and received the same response from 3 reps. No refund and if there is nothing else i will end the call. U want a supervisor. No im sorry. Wtf kind of service is this... I want a refund now or partial

The site was not very 'user friendly' to begin with. I set up a year subscription thinking that I would be able to cancel at any time and get a refund for the unused months. I wasn't having much luck on the site and my funds were low so I decided to cancel it after 3 months. However, when cancelling the representative told me that my account would be de-activated, but that I could re-activate it any time before the expiry of February 2017. I said I do not wish to re-activate it and I believe that I should be entitled to a refund for the unused months, but to no avail. I usually never complain, but I feel that this company is immoral and something must be said as I may as well have thrown $170 in the garbage. I don't understand how a company can charge you for a service that they are no longer providing. If you are thinking about signing up then I warn you to proceed with caution and do not pay for any subscriptions!

This webpage is excellent. The website is simple to use and offers a wide range of potential dates. I've been happy with this site for about four months now that I've been using it.

A terrible dating site. It is full of profiles of people who have cancelled their subscription and are no longer active on the site, yet they continue to be displayed as though they are active. I know this for a fact because, despite being on the app for a little over a month, I was trying to delete some old, non-responsive "Likes" of mine. I'm a really decent catch, so I couldn't believe that out of 100 profiles that I had "liked", only three had "liked" me back. At first, I could delete the old "likes" easily by dragging left on the profile in the list and selecting the offered "delete" option, however, after several profile "deletes", the functionality suddenly disappeared. Not being one to give up easily, I reverted to "blocking" my old "likes".
Normally, when you select "block" for a profile, you then have to select the option "confirm" to execute the block. When I blocked most of the old "likes", instead of getting the option to "confirm", the message "Profile Unavailable" popped up. (See picture #1) So I've been busy reading and "liking" profiles that shouldn't even be there. To further prove this point, at the bottom of the "Profile Unavailable" page, there are still the options to Message, Super Like, or Like. I selected "Like" on the profile that was "Unavailable" and was then given the option to message the person. Even though they aren't even there! (See picture #2) What a scam, and a complete waste of time and money. And to top it off, many of the profiles I blocked had a green dot beside them indicating that they had been recently active. Another lie.
Add to this that I have read numerous reviews that Match makes it very difficult to delete your account. Yes, you can deactivate it easily, but try deleting it. So, what Match.com is doing is keeping deactivated accounts "active" on their site so they can deceitfully inflate their number of users when in actuality, there are not many fish in their sea.

I've been on this site since December and haven't had any luck; barely any messages received, and no dates. Ill recieve plenty of "winks" and "likes," but no messages. I have no problem messaging a guy first but never have I even received a response back from anybody. I know that I am an attractive person with a great job and a good head on my shoulders, so I am not at all satisfied with match.

This "paid for" site is full of scammers! Be careful because customer service doesn't care what happens to you as long as you are paid up. I called customer service requesting a refund because I couldn't deal with the scammers and "Kenneth" said our conversation was going no where and he was about to hang up. I have 5 months of 6 left and no chance of a refund. Please stay away form this dating site!

I learned 10 days after the fact that I accidentally hit the subscription button twice, so I was charged twice for a one month subscription. I only learned it when I looked at my credit card statement. I politely asked for a refund for one of the charges and they refused. I think that is ridiculous. I recommend you skip match, go to the free site, plenty of fish, and there's more people there!

I was contacted by numerous fake users... and they auto renewed an already CANCELLED subscription! If they have to force users to renew even once they have cancelled, what does that say about the satisfaction of users?!?! This site is the worst of the dating sites I have been on. Quality of participants is lowest and they literally rip you off.

My account was completely got hacked by someone. The profile is not mine at all for about 2 months. I called Match, and they gave me no answer why this happened. They told me my profile is already recovered, but it is not the case. The girl in the profile is not me. The words are not mine as well. Nothing in the profile is me.
I asked Match for refund because of their systems' problem, I paid, but was not able to use the service at all. The representative of March then cancelled the auto renew of my service without I ask you to do so.
Their service is horrible.

Been using several dating sites during the last couple months. Decided to use Match, Mingle2day and Cupid. Did not really like Cupid, to be honest but had a couple of dates on Mingle2day and Match. Both sites are really worth trying. 4 out of 5.
