Oddly enough, the website printed on the back of the gift cards gives a "404" error, but when I simply typed "movietickets.com" it worked like a charm. We selected our theatre, selected our tickets, and printed out the confirmation number. No problem at all. Yes, there are some added fees, but the total didn't seem too much higher than purchasing at the theater.

I bought a gift card multi-pack at my favorite big warehouse retailer. Went to use one today and discovered the cards have no PIN and therefore do not work on the Fandango site to buy tickets and there appears to be no other way to redeem them... epic rip off! Found no help searching online resources that might offer resolution. Its like this issue is top secret. To add insult to injury, the Fandango "help" link is so incredibly backed up (no surprise), I gave up after waiting 43 minutes for live chat assistance. Yep, I was that determined to resolve... however, "chat help" was a no show. NOT A FAN. Never "donating" my $ by default for these again.

I went to order tickets, and it kept saying the code was expired! I just bought the gift card! I am so pissed! I am hold now for a rep... we will see how this goes. I am PISSED! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!

Somehow I got on the site when I was purchasing tickets through the movie theater. Only offered 3 time slots which I thought was different, but I thought I was on the movie theater site. Ordered tickets- convenience fee was out rageous. After purchasing the tickets, I went back to the movie theater site. Many more time options to choose from. Purchased tickets through the real movie theater site,. Supposed to get refund from this site, will not refund convenience fee. Of course not... I want to make sure people do not use this site. I will be talking with the movie theaters today to let them know what they are associated with. I hope I can convince at least one person not to utilize this horrible excuse for a service.

THIS WEBSITE IS TOTAL GARBAGE! There should really be 0 stars out of 5. The password requirements alone make you want to throw your computer through the $#*!ing wall. Hate the site. I will never waste my time EVER using.
If you didn't see it before, programmers of website - your work is garbage.

I purchased TWO of the $25 gift cards at SAM's for 'date night with the hubs.' We got to the movie theater, and the 'confirmation code' was invalid! My gift card had been 'charged' and my 'user account' on movietickets.com showed I had purchased the tickets. Luckily for us, the theater manager comped us tickets when we showed him the gift card. Apparently this is NOT THE FIRST TIME this scam site has sent people to his place of business. Kudos to Lawton, OK Mall Cineplex Manager, Zach. Shame on Movietickes.com.

Like other buyers, purchased at Sam's and they do not work. No response from customer service when contacted, and phone number isn't working. I blame Sam's for selling these scam gift cards.

Please don't buy these as gift cards! I have tried to purchase tickets using their app and EVERY TIME I have had the app struggle! I am now having to enter all my information for the THIRD time! The app should be able to store all the gift cards at once along with my AMC Stubbs number... that's also why I gave it 1 star! And COSTCO, quit selling these gift cards!

Transaction unsuccessful. They put a lock on my account and customer service said they can't unlock it over the phone!? Do not purchase these gift cards I wish I read the reviews first!

I purchased a $25 gift card and selected 2 tickets for Friday the 19th at 10pm, later when I checked my receipt it said for Thursday the 18th at 10pm! That was when I made the purchase, not the selected movies time! When I reached out and told therm about the error they say there is nothing they can do! What bs! This place is a scam!

YOU'LL NEVER GET THE SUBMIT BUTTON TO RESPOND WITH YOUR PURCHASE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK. THEIR WEB SITE IS ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. INCREDIBLY NON-INTUITIVE. AND FORGET ABOUT CALLING THEIR 1-888 NUMBER FOR ASSISTANCE. THEIR AGENT NEVER ANSWERS AND YOU'LL HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEIR PATHETIC RECORDING ENDLESSLY. COSTCO REALLY NEEDS TO STOP SELLING movietickets.com GIFT CARDS BECAUSE THEY'RE ANYTHING BUT A GIFT.

This website seems to make it IMPOSSIBLE TO OBTAIN A REFUND.
Entering " Refund " in their websites search leads to "No results found."
We lost about $48 dollars on a transaction that we could not cancel.
Stay away from these thieves.

I would only buy a movietickets.com gift card for someone IF I REALLY WANTED TO PISS THEM OFF!

I bought a card for my daughter and she GAVE IT BACK!

The limitations are BS. The website is a POS***.

STAY AWAY from this company, their cards, their site.

I received a movietickets.com gift card. I tried to use it once, but when I went to the theater, it had no record that I had bought the tickets even though I showed the confirmation that I had printed out. Next I tried to check the balance online to see if it was charged and a message displayed stating that my gift card was invalid. I tried to call customer service, but the phone did not ring. I emailed them, but received no answer. I then filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. In a few days, I received an email from the company's CEO, Joel Cohen, asking me to contact him directly by email. I did this and a couple of days later received a call from an underling who admitted there were problems. He assured me that the card was OK and still had the full initial balance on it, meaning, I assume, that the first transaction never actually went through. I looked up the company and found that it is partially owned by Time Warner and AMC Theaters. I should think that both of these big companies would be embarrassed if they knew how awful movietickets.com works and treats its customers. Movietickets.com is limited in theater coverage. Of the dozen or so theaters within a 25 mile radius of where I live, only three accept movietickets.com. If you want to buy reserved movie tickets, I recommend Fandango. It works everywhere. Movietickets.com charges $1 for every ticket it processes. It's not worth the aggravation.

Booking in the UK impossible as the stupid site won't recognise postcode. Trying to book a cinema 10 miles away, Showcase, they use this dumb system and after it takes my credit card details it doesn't recognise my ZIPCODE! We have POSTCODES in the UK you morons!

A huge scam! This is a joke, do yourself a favor and don't buy the gift card. Not user friendly and almost impossible to use! I'd rather have a root canal!

I was a registered user of MovieTickets.com and have booked tickets over the past (which was not a great experience). Today unfortunately i was again routed to this useless website MovieTickets.com to book tickets because of the promotion tie up with AT&T. Then my painful saga starts! I try to login with my credentials and i get an error "Username and Password do not match"! Then i try to reset my password (just to make sure) using the forgot password link, had to wait for few minutes after clicking the reset password button and then nothing happens on the screen and neither i get a reset email link! Then i try to create a new account using my alternate email id, after keying in all the personal details i clicked the submit button and it errors out saying "Something went wrong"!
That simply means that none of the prime functionalities work in the website, then why not post an outage or some notification message that the website is down. Instead the website allows you to go through all the steps and waste your time!
Then i call customer care, after waiting for 15 minutes on phone a representative answers and ask me to try forgot password and then create new user account. As usual none of them work again. Then the representatives says we are aware of this issue but we do not know when it would get fixed please try later!
I am fed up with the website!

I think they purposely put in non responsive servers so that customers cannot use the AT&T Offer or any other offers. I used the Buy one Get one free tuesday offer and the webpage refreshed while I used the Promo code and just went through buying the tickets and finally get charged full price called into their crappy CS and they said we do not see that you used the promo code so we will not be able to refund you full price and well have to keep the convenience fee($3). Worst service ever *KEEP AWAY*.

Very hard to redeem the GC, enter everything right and then shows unsuccessful transaction.

Incredibly painful web site - one where cloudfare canceled my transaction several times saying I was "BLOCKED" as malicious. Had to recreate the order more than once; losing prime seats in the process, then - after purchasing find out I'm stuck with tickets my wife doesn't want. No Refund or Exchange option - Greed Level 100. DO NOT OFFER THESE GIFT CARDS TO ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT - only to those you want to annoy and create an uncomfortable future with.

I received a couple of these $25 "gift" cards for Easter. First thing you need to know is if you try and click on the link on the home page to register it will say "Currently Unavailable". There is a work around for this. You have to pull up a movie, add a ticket, and in the "Sign In" tab you can click the "Create My Account" button to actually register. Why this worked and the other didn't is beyond my understanding. Anyway I selected my theatre (AMC), and selected the number of tickets I wanted to purchase (2). What I don't get is this "Convenience Fees" that is added on to the price. I understand that if you a specific seat you'd pay extra to get said specific seat, but here's the thing... our AMC theatre doesn't do assigned seating! Why and the heck should someone have to pay an extra $1.70 per ticket if there is no assigned seating! Now if you are a Stubs Member this "Convenience Fee" is waived, but if you aren't than you are forced to pay extra money. Oh and speaking of extra money, being a Stubs Member I can see movies on Tuesdays for $5. Not if you buy ticket through movietickets.com. Even if you put in you Stubs card number, all it does is remove the "Convenience Fees", you still have to pay full price for the tickets. Now it did let me use the gift card, but I had to use $17.38 out of $25 and now there will not be enough for another ticket later now. What a rip off.

I will NEVER purchase tickets thru this site again, I will NEVER purchase another gift card for this site ever again. We were unable to see the movie I purchased tickets to DUE TO A FIRE and the customer service could care less what the reason was, just that it was past the movie start time! I have accounts with Fandango and had issues happen before and they literally just put the credit amount right back in your account and ready for use right away! MOVIETICKETS.COM IS TOTAL CRAP DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM UNLESS YOU EXPECT LIFE TO BE PERFECT AND THAT NOTHING COULD GO WRONG IN SEEING THE MOVIE INTENDED BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT CREDIT YOUR ACCOUNT FOR NOTHING

Unfortunately they haven't answered my email so I took the ride and the right time in the right seats but for some reason it's switch to the day I'm making it so I have no choice but to email support I wish time they don't answer so yes you're getting one if I could give them nothing I would they took $23.96 dog won't say again condemned again to change a day next time I'm going with the time I am going with the the Fandago at least answer the phone

I had a gift card. I went on their website to purchase tickets for a movie I was going to see that day. It took a very long time to process and when it finally stopped, the screen said "Sorry, this transaction was unsuccessful". Frustrated, I went back to try to purchase again only to find that the site had taken money off my gift card despite the transaction being "unsuccessful". I immediately called and all i got was a recorded message saying to email them for customer service then the line went dead. I immediately emailed and received a response saying that they would get back to me within 72 hours which was not helpful for the movie i was going to see that day. Went to the movie and just paid. When I heard back from them the next day, they pretty much said that the transaction was successful so I was abel to use the tickets purchased. When asked how was I supposed to know that the "Sorry, this transaction was unsuccessful" actually meant that i had indeed purchased tickets and i would like a refund, they told me I would have to either go back to the store where I got the gift card or ask the person who gave it to me to look into it if it was a gift. Absolutely HORRIBLE business and customer service. I emailed them back again with the screenshot of the screen saying the transaction did not go through and requesting a new gift card to make the situation right. I have not heard from them since. Terrible, terrible way to run a business.

They charge more for the movie than the movie theatre does. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE! IT IS A SCAM! Refunds are impossible. Youll just give yourself a headache if you buy tickets on this website. Save yourself the time and money and just buy directly from the theatre!

After emailing customer service back and forth 3 times, they refused to give me a refund for $30. I told them I live 3 hours away from the theater and could not go to the theater to get a refund, they still refused. I disputed the charge to my bank. NEVER USE THIS WEBSITE FOR MOVIE TICKETS.
