Not something I would every purchase to give to someone. Purchased at Sams Club, was supposed to be for a particular local theater. After checkout received these movie.com cards. Fees are outrageous, pitiful. Stay away from movietickets.com
It took me over an hour to get a refund b/c I was not going to be able to attend the showing, SERIOUSLY! Will never use this site again, it cant just be easy to take my money!
After purchasing for my elderly parents I discovered they had gone to the movies but were not admitted because they were told they had to purchase tickets with these cards online. At 82 were unsuccessful and wanted to give them back to me. I went online to purchase for them and find out I have to pay a 3 dollar fee every time I make a purchase unless I join a cinema club. I requested a refund but was denied. If your thinking of buying to give as a gift I sure as he'll would not recommend. With a 100.00 gift expect to pay an additional 12.00 for 4 visits to the movies. They suck
Worst gift card and website I have ever come across. It actually costs more to get movie tickets than to walk up to the cinema and buy at site. Do not use this site and do not buy their terrible gift cards. A complete rip off
Incredibly frustrating website to work with. Their site is down frequently, and we rarely get the AT&T "Ticket Twosday" deal that we were promised.
Made a profile. Could not log in. 30 min customer service wait. Still was not helped. I wanted to get the AT&T off but the website will not upload.
This website is garbage. I've never had any issues buying tickets on the theaters' websites, but I have to use this piece of sh*t website in order to use my AT&T Ticket Twosday promo. I wouldn't be surprised if this was done on purpose to frustrate users so much they'd give up trying to use it. This is the second week in a row I've had the website freeze going from window to window while the timer is still counting down. Eventually you run out of time because you spent the entire few minutes waiting for the site to load. I've tried this on multiple computers and my phone. I really wish they'd fix their servers!
This is the slowest worst website I have used EVER. It freezes for a minute in between windows and you only get a couple minutes to reserve the tickets before the time limit expires on you. So I never got to get my tickets and kept having to start the session over and no matter how fast I typed my info in it always froze and then expired. THIS WEBSITE SUCKS. I tried on my cell phone, iPad, and laptop and nothing works. F*** MovieTickets.com!
I think they purposely put in non responsive servers so that customers cannot use the AT&T Offer or any other offers. I used the Buy one Get one free tuesday offer and the webpage refreshed while I used the Promo code and just went through buying the tickets and finally get charged full price called into their crappy CS and they said we do not see that you used the promo code so we will not be able to refund you full price and well have to keep the convenience fee($3). Worst service ever *KEEP AWAY*.
I went to order tickets, and it kept saying the code was expired! I just bought the gift card! I am so pissed! I am hold now for a rep... we will see how this goes. I am PISSED! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!
I pre-ordered tickets to a movie for my sons and i knowing that the movie would probably be sold out the Friday in which the movie was to bee released. Mid way through the order i dropped my phone. The site had been closed out. I went back and reordered the tickets. Having never received a confirmation email i checked with my credit card company only to discover i had been charged twice. I wnt back on the site-app only to discover the customer service number is not available and after searching for the number i got through to customer service who informed me that i would have to negotiate with the theater about being reimbursed. Smh
As an AT&T customer, there's a program called AT&T Thanks that gives you a free movie ticket once per week with the purchase of a movie ticket. The AT&T Thanks program directs you to buy your tickets at MovieTickets.com. Several weeks after buying tickets, a charge showed up on my bank account from MovieTickets on a week that I did not buy any movie tickets. I logged into my account there and there was no record of me buying any tickets that week and their support department was absolutely no help. I eventually had to call my bank and dispute the charge.
You guys are ripped off. You designed your wedsite to call this 800 numbers and once the customer call, they give all this "special offers, give away crap and no real person to talk to... completely garbage.
There online site to retrieve the tickets is horrible. You have to jump through hoops to try and get your tickets! Don't waste your money or your night!
YOU'LL NEVER GET THE SUBMIT BUTTON TO RESPOND WITH YOUR PURCHASE BECAUSE IT DOESN'T WORK. THEIR WEB SITE IS ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. INCREDIBLY NON-INTUITIVE. AND FORGET ABOUT CALLING THEIR 1-888 NUMBER FOR ASSISTANCE. THEIR AGENT NEVER ANSWERS AND YOU'LL HAVE TO LISTEN TO THEIR PATHETIC RECORDING ENDLESSLY. COSTCO REALLY NEEDS TO STOP SELLING movietickets.com GIFT CARDS BECAUSE THEY'RE ANYTHING BUT A GIFT.
But this site is sooooooo awful that it is compelling me to take the time to bash them. Even if you have a gift card, it isn't worth your time and frustration. All I wanted to do was buy Wonder Woman tickets and I have spent an hour trying to do so. Worst experience from a company ever.
Like everyone says, you can't use the online app and can't through to customer service worst ever. Like stay away.
Difficult and inconvenient ti use. Charged extra fee while making it difficult to use. Worst company ever. Will complain to BBB as well.
Ok so i was buying tickets to see SKULL ISLAND and i went on this site. So after i ordered 5 tickets i go to pay for them and when i put my card info in i guess my auto fill filled in the wrong zip code for my card so the transaction was declined but yet and still they put a hold on my funds so i gave them a call it took 25 minutes to get through to them then they told me to call my bank they were very rude and lied to me about putting a hold on my funds. That was last sat. Its friday and my funds still haven't been returned.
Answer: You have to process the purchase through movietickets.com instead. PS When I followed the web address printed on the back of the card, there was a "404 error," but if you simply type "movietickets.com" without all of the extra stuff, it works perfectly.
Answer: Call Fandango and ask them. Many people are saying movietickets.com gift cards do not work on Fandango. I wish you luck.
Answer: Try redeeming it through MovieTickets.com website. Select the movie, the showing you'd like and then check out as a guest. Look for the movietickets.com card option at check out. If you have a free Stubs member number, enter that as well to waive the convenience fee. Hope that helps!
Answer: I just spoke with Fandango Customer Service. We are connected to Movietickets.com but they do not honor Movietickets.com gift cards. Fandango has their own gift cards and you must contact Movietickets.com to activate. I also just called Sam's and the guy that answered the phone stated to call Walmart at 1-800-Walmart. So, I called Walmart at the 800# and spoke with lady by the name of, Madori, she stated that Sam's has their own Customer Service phone # 888-746-7726. Andrew at Sam's 800# stated to go to Sam's Customer Service desk and they will look up your purchases. If you purchased the gift cards within the last 3 years they will refund your money. Andrew stated that they will look at removing the gift cards from on-line and in store purchases. :)
Answer: You have to use it on movietickets.com instead. When I tried the website as printed on the back of the gift cards, it says "error 404," but when I simply typed "movietickets.com" without the extra stuff, it worked perfectly.
