Hired help at both ends of move. Was charged as sos as set up reservations. Received confirmation at set up. Day to move the help never showed. Called contact number and got message voicemail wasn't set up. Never could get through. Tried contacting Movinghelp and was difficult. No number, sent message which referred to website. On moving to new location verified 2 days before that we were scheduled. Received text morning of that they would be late. We were scheduled at 9 am. Hubby, son and son's friend started unloading truck almost done and helped still not there. Texted him and said 30 minutes out. Said we could cancel which we did. On website was finally able to cancel both moves. Contacted credit card to issue dispute. Would NEVER use this company again! Very stressful move.
I hired 4 people to pack/unpack and move my furniture. Only 2 showed up and assured me more help was coming. They seemed to know what they were doing. They damaged an armoire, left clothes and item strewn in every room. They didnot turn off water to washer and it flooded the 2nd floor ceiling, which my landlord is holding me responsible. I put in a claim with Moving help, but they have not called to discuss, all I've gotten is back and forth emails. Now I will have a second claim for them to ignore. Take a look at my pictures below.
Customer service at its worst. Expect to get bullied as a customer. There is no curtesy straight demands or threat to pill out resource in the middle of the job and will leave you stranded if the job takes a little longer. No validation of the estimate before start of the work. They play around showing up at your destination instead of origin place and eat time jut over commute. Pretty bad service and dont expect any help. If you happen to hire ensure youre on close watch as they would some stuff inspite of repeated reminders if they are heavy. Go get ready to be stranded once you hire them. Most unprofessional service.
I contract with this movinghelp.com, and am canceling my services through them. Movinghelp.com does NOT give us proper notification. It then gives our name bad reviews when we didnt even know about a job. We have lost jobs because customers are being told we bring a truck, when that is also false. Movinghelp.com ONLY provides labor. On our own, we have 5 star ratings, and this service is ridiculous. 9
My company is a reputable mover in the Destin area. It is an LLC licensed in the state of florida. Someone in Gulf Breeze, FL decided to steal my name and get work on this site. I am constantly getting complaints that this company doesn't show up, late, slow workers... Moving help refuses to give me their number and suggested I use a credit card to order their service - then I could get their number. Are you F**ing kidding me? I've called BBB, florida dept of agriculture and they will be sued.
Transferred from uhaul to reservation. Provided movers by price. Reservation confirmation paid by card on file, ubox. No show number not in service, busy day before and of. Uhaul claims no affiliate with moving help. CC now in dispute over transaction. Find a local mover.
I scheduled a mover, "On Time Movers" for the morning of tomorrow. I paid 140.95, on my credit card (I have excellent credit), before scheduling.
I called the movers, she told me that they have someone else at that time and have no availability. I told them I already paid! She told me to cancel online.
I had to create an account to cancel. I've chatted about getting my money back, my card was charged already, she said it can take up to 5-7 business days for a "refund."
MovingHelp.com has my money, but I have no movers.
Hired Rath & mover out of Newland NC. Guy was an idiot, drunk, stoned, something. Couldn't get the job details right. Kept texting me over and over and finally bailed out of the job 24 hours before. Total idiot. And he's on U-Haul's list. Avoid this idiot at all costs.
Worst experience ever. Hired Mighty movers from Tampa from Uhaul. My advice: look elsewhere for your help and don't believe their reviews! I have made the move from Florida to Ohio before but never have I had such damaged furniture, crushed fragile boxes, broken legs on furniture and scratches on them because they never used the multitude of pads provided and jammed everything together. Their extra help decided to get into our pool! Seriously, avoid this company and don't believe uhaul's reviews/recommendations! The 1st pic is what was found from the chest on the 2nd picture. The 3rd & 4th pic is a part of the headboard broken and the 5th pic shows a fragile box shoved in the truck.
Tetris kings moving through moving help confirmed and never showed up! You are completely on your own when they don't show up and you can't leave a review on the uhaul/moving help website unless they complete the move- so there is no way to warn people not to hire them!
The U-Haul truck I had rented broke down at the storage yard after being loaded. Contacted U-Haul, they sent a repairman to see what the problem was. He said the truck was not safe to drive. It was arranged for us to drive it to the nearest U-Haul lot to do a transfer of my belongings to another truck. U-Haul contacted MovingHelp and arranged for a crew to transfer my things from the first truck to another U-Haul truck. Three men from D Main Movers did the transfer. They DID NOT cover any of my furniture (which had been done when loaded the first time). They stacked boxes directly on the furniture, resulting in damage to the tops of ALL of my antiques. The furniture had been passed down thru four generations. They also broke three antique bookcases. There is no way to replace them. U-Haul says they are not responsible, even though they hired these so-called movers. I have pictures, I just don't know how to add them.
First time, 3 years ago, the movers just plain didnt show up. It was July 3 and apparently they wanted a longer weekend? Anyway, that meant that my wife and I had to do the loading and unloading ourselves on July 4. At least we got a refund...
This time, I made my booking online, they ran my credit card for $430, and nobody called me, or sent a confirmation, or anything! They have no customer service, so I called Uhaul, since I booked on their site. They said they have nothing to do with movinghelp.com, but i know thats not entirely correct, since my same Uhaul account login gets me to movinghelp for some reason. Anyway, a couple days later, as I was wondering how Im ever going to contact someone about a refund, the charge mysteriously disappeared off my credit card statement. It had shown up as pending for a couple days, then gone. I guess I got lucky?
Anyway, they are a scam. Stay away...
Do NOT use this service! I hired movers and they never showed up! I emailed the company and told them. They responded that I'd get a refund and I didn't. I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I give them a - 5 star review.
If you have any questions, you'll always get the same answer: you'll have to discuss that with your service provider. But there's no company name given for the service provider, only the contact for the actual movers. So when our movers arrived 30 mins late, they stayed an extra 30 mins over the two hour period we paid for, they claimed we had to pay in cash for travel and an extra HOUR. They claimed it was $195 per person (with two movers) and literally followed me to the ATM to get the money out before they would leave. I contacted movinghelp.com via chat and was basically told it was between me and the movers who clearly ripped me off and I had no choice but to pay them because they wouldn't leave. Go with anyone other than movinghelp. They're absolutely worthless.
This process does not allow for refunding unused hours! So, underestimate the hours you need! Very crappy to do business, not the local movers fault, just crappy site. U haul should not do business this way! I recommend you find the movers through Moving Help, then contract with them outside the crappy service site.
I moved to Syracuse NY and scheduled for two movers to help with unloading a UPACK relocube (smaller than UHaul 10' truck). They called in the morning of the move and confirmed everything. But, later they did not show up. They even did not return any of my several calls.
What was my option? To cancel with them and get another helper. But prices had tripled. So, here is my guess. They first offer the lowest price as a bait. Then, in the last moment they don't show up. Then, they offer very high price for same day service and have no option but to buy their expensive price.
I hired CentrexMoving to help unload my things. They damaged a lot of different things. While CentrexMoving admitted fault, they did not do anything about it. I contacted MovingHelp and they said it was up to the discretion of CentrexMoving and that nothing else could be done. MovingHelp will provide no support. Just keep that in mind.
Do not bother with this company. They don't vet any of their movers and they are impossible to get ahold of. 2/3 movers I scheduled were no contact/noshow. The one mover that did finally show up was late, sent too few people to do the job, and were barely able finish. I had to actually help them move a piano.
Uhaul makes you book 2 hours and when the move only took 1 hour, they refused to give me my money back. Charged me 130$ for 1 hour of moving. The gentlemen were nice but the shoved my dishes sideways and unside down in the uhaul, smashed my boxes listed as fragile. Now i know why they went so fast, they were robbing me blind. Never use this service ever!
How this company is still able to be in business is beyond me. Dont try to contact their online help text, or through phone as they dont like to accept responsibility for their actions, even after explaining that youre not afraid to bring council into a dispute. Please I beg you dont go through the hassle that I have. While the individual movers themselves were nice and courteous, the corporation is a total scam and takes 15% of every dollar their labors earn. Again if you try to contact them you will be sent into a total loop as they frustrate you to hanging up and not actually having any of your issues resolved. I will be contacting every local U-Haul, moving company in my area that uses them to advice them what has happened and that they should advise their patrons not to use them.
Answer: Do not use these people. They don't care if they ruin your furniture. They are very inexperienced, and are a total rip off! Don't believe what you read about them on MovingHelp, that's completely false!
Answer: A good moving company is Almighty Movers. I used them before and they are professional, did a great job, and do not overcharge. I about to move again, and will be using them again for sure! You can count on them for help.
Answer: Run do not use this websight they will rip you off and there is no one to talk to never see your money back.
