I love MyHeritage. I was able to trace my family back to the first settlers at the Cape of Good Hope in 1691, and that without leaving my chair!

Customer support issues are resolved super fast and to my satisfaction. Great company. Keep it up!

I made a mistake and in trying to correct it deleted about 700 years of genealogy from the 17th century back. I was nearly in tears when I called and Mark C secured my call and with a few helpful suggestions got me right back to the information I thought was lost. I was so grateful for his help. I have found my investment in MyHeritage.com to have been worth the cost, and the 24/7 help to be excellent and delightful.

I called US customer service because I had an interesting family history, where I found out that cousins (generations ago) of mine (on separate sides of the tree) married (they were not cousins at the time, or if only by marriage), which resulted in them being duplicated in the chart. We tried one way to fix it, and after hanging up, customer service called me back because she found a better way. She consulted with a colleague and looking at my chart, they were able to advise me how to handle it. I liked that she walked me through it step-by-step, and she was able to open my chart and see it real-time so we knew when problems were solved. She was so helpful! I won't hesitate to call again if I run into any other problems or interesting documentation.

Both my husband and I sent of DNA kits. Matches and communications are now all coming through in a totally foreign language - could be Arabic Russian. Who knows. I have sent copies to support in December and January. As I had not received any replies I requested all communications from My Heritage to cease. Totally ignored. Received another match on Sunday in foreign language. Phoned uk support number. Just a voice not a person. Useless. I emailed support again today and received a reply in this foreign language. I am also now getting lots of weird emails in this same language. It is very worrying.

I misunderstood the instructions, and deleted my mothers account and her DNA-results. They still helped me out with new tests and explained how to store the results and avoid that from happening again :)

I had a nightmare as (stupidly) I lost my old login details to the, quite large, tree I had created.

Don't ever use your phone number to get a two steps identification code from my heritage. If you do and then for some reason you can not get the code you will lose your account and all you have in it. There isn't anyway to get help by calling all have to be done by email and they will never answer your mail. I made the mistake of using my phone number to get the codes for more than I asked then one I never get one and now I am out of my website account with them.

They take your money before asking or warning you. Took my bill money sitting here without lights. Thanks for warning. Or letting me know. Would have discontinued. But some people get caught up and for get. I never got email from them saying they took my money or it was trial period was over. Want refund. Don't use this site.if I don't get refund will be back on to tell people. Warning don't use

My friend, who got the kit of DNA test as a gift I gave him for birthday, forgot to register it online and then lost a box. 6 months passed by since then and I e-mailed customer service. They were so helpful and friendly!
They even offered me to send another kit for free! Lost box was found and they sent my friend results of DNA. I am impressed! Best wishes to their business!

Nothing less than excellence of delivery, what more can one say? I do have one suggestion - since there are so many "Matches" would it be possible to be able to choose from a list of the sur-names to take you directly to the preferred family members - or to have the names listed alphabetically for easy selection of any one or more of those thousands available for adding to ones tree?

My experience with MyHeritage was exceptional. The results were emailed within the indicated timeframe, and the results were clearly, and interestingly presented.
I was surprised, despite a somewhat vague family oral tradition, to discover
That I had some Ashkenazi Jewish ancestry. When I called in to inquire about this
Connection Maya, a MyHeritage geneticist, was very helpful, and friendly. This experience has led me to want to do additional DNA testing to further refine matches. I would like to see if there are any connections between the Ashkenazi and Eastern European ancestry. Overall great experience.

I have had a very good experience with MyHeritage. The information I have received has enabled me to add many ancestors and facts about ancestors to my family tree. They send regular emails about matches that their software has found with other members' family trees and their process is simple and easy to learn. I recently asked for directions on how to turn off a feature and received a simple, effective suggestion the next day. The only fault I'll cite is that I wish there were details about the facts that other members cite - - how well those facts have been documented.

I discovered things on this website that were very intriguing about my family, while attempting to find out more about my genetic profile. Unfortunately, at the time I couldn't afford premium access, but contacted them, spoke with a man named Josh who helped me cancel my subscription for now. He was one of the most helpful representatives I've ever talked to, 100%.

Great site, and great support!

First over charged me, didnt give sale price. Second after 9 weeks still no results have been sent. Was told not to contact them. Use another compan because this one is not honest in there dealings with customers.

The US postal service failed to find there address given on their sample self addressed envelope and I have noway to contact them through e-mail of phone. My sample remain still undelivered after 15 days.

Called twice to get information on both issues. Both dealt with speedily and accurately. Learnt how to compress photos using "Office Word" so I could upload them onto the site as a result. Very useful. Thankyou

Complete scam
The phone numbers they list for Contact either do not exist, or are continuosly busy...
Took £59.99 from my card without my authorisation... going to sue, if only to get them shut down...

With reference to MyHeritage ticket #************** the problem I had been submitting for 15 months was eventually brilliantly identified and explained.
Unluckily, an easy solution seems to be unaivailable.
In addition, I didn't get any information about some commercial issues I had submitted, too, this time. I suppose It is other people's task.

I called Myheritage twice last week regarding 2 different issues. Both issues were solved quickly & professionally. Regarding my ethnicity estimate; I tested with both Ancestry & Myheritage. Ancestry's results were very broad. Example, they showed me 83% Great Britain, 8% Scandinavian. Myheritage broke that down to 50% Scandinavian (paternal grandmother from Sweden, great grandmother from Norway, maternal unknown), English 16.2%, Irish Scottish Welsh 14.8%, and Finnish 1.5%. (Not my complete results). Based on personal knowledge & paper trail, Myheritage is more accurate. Finally I want to say a big Thank You to Maor, one of Myheritage`S support team members who has gone above & beyond helping me with my DNA research questions. I highly recommend Myheritage.

I know there's number of genealogy software with much wider functionality but unfortunately they all were written with old technologies and cannot be really used online alike to social network. MyHeritage has limited genealogy functionality (in comparison with old-school professional systems) but up-to-date interface and great tools for discovering documented information makes it all.
Frankly speaking support might have been working quicker for the paid account. I believe in 2018 professional service desk built by ITIL guidelines is a must for worldwide business.
Anyway I wish them success so that stability will never be a subject, functionality grows to address all types of genealogy problems and support works smoothly. Good luck!

Myheritage has improved quite a bit since last time I was customer. Still some things the adress, imo, the user interface is quite outdated when in Family Tree mode, also the cost is too high. Well worth the money, but for retired people it's way too much sometimes to subscribe for one year. Monthly payments should be allowed.

The most significant improvement is that today the staff at the service center has upped their skills tremendously, thus enabling us users to have a much better experience. I highly recommend Myheritage because of its sheer size, the cooperation with Geni and Familysearch and not the least, the excellent help I received from the support team. Thank you!

The site has lots of pluses, but a few irritants as well. After several tries at support I found courtesy and good intentions, but I didn't get the answer that worked until my 3rd or 4th try. Also it is frustratingly difficult to extend known lines of descent.
However MyHeritage has superb tools for finding links to possible relatives and for getting in touch with whoever posted given information.
