I recently ordered a DNA test. I stuffed up in sending it back and sent myheritage a message telling them what I did wrong. Baby brain with newborns really stuffed me up. They promptly sent me a replacement test and were so understanding about it. You have no idea how grateful I am to them, as this was a gift for my husband and he was so excited about it. Thankyou so much myheritage for being so understanding and replacing the test even though it was my fault and not yours.

I have used My Heritage for about 5 years now and have learnt many new things about my extended family. I have also met many of my relatives whom I have never met before. The site has been a focal point for the extended family and in some ways has brought us all a bit closer together. I recently had an issue with my site and contacted My Heritage by email on a number of occasions without response. I resorted to ringing them and they then promptly resolved my issue and assisted me extensively. I am happy to recommend the My Heritage system to any potential users

I had paid my premium charge but website did not accept that I was a member, my tree was still there but I could not add anything. I tried to contact them by phone but the automated message kept asking me to press the pound key. I do not have a pound key but pressing everything I got through. They knew this was a problem they 'call it something different in every country' It is the hash key! After that they were very helpful and resolved the problem, staying on the line until I checked it.

I had a problem on my husband's family tree page. I had given him the DNA kit as a Christmas gift and when I set up his page it was listed as MY family tree! Desmond gave swift and courteous service, straightened out my mistake, and even took the further step of making sure my hubby's DNA was connected to the correct account! MyHeritage just added an Irish location. It expands the hours that those of us in the USA can access their expertise. Tonight I called and got the Irish location. Kiran answered the call. She is so nice, so smart... and so patient! She fixed a problem I had been struggling with for over a year in just a matter of minutes! Then she fixed another thing or two. Then we just had fun discussing all the good stuff MyHeritage can do.

I am hard of hearing so I missed your representatives name. However I started as number 11 and waited for my turn. I appreciate know where I was in line and also how I was advancing in line. Had it not been for that I would have hung up. Once I was answered by your rep I found her to be most pleasent and helpful. Today I talked to Kevin at My Heritage, and found him to be extremely helpful. He was patient while I asked all my questions, and he gave me clear answers. He also made suggestions on how to handle my situation, and explained how to go about implementing his suggestions. I was very pleased with the service I received from Kevin.

I bought their premium plus plan but for the wrong family tree. Changing it is nearly impossible as customer service is need and they never pick up actually saying that this is because I am not a premium member even though I payed 200EUR.

I contacted a support specialists wit MyHeritage. He spent a great deal of time working with me to assure the issue was addressed. The issue was in how I was using the program. He was truly exceptional with his assistance and very much understood the program and what I was asking. I so appreciate his assistance and would recommend My Heritage as a direct result of the customer service I received. He not only educated me about My Heritage but on the most appropriate process in creating a family tree that is accurate. He is a very knowledgeable and caring young man. He not only represents his product, but he has an enormous amount of respect for genealogy.

I ordered a DNA kit for the reduced price of $90 nearly two months ago and agreed to a free one month trial of MyHeritage which I never used because I never received the DNA kit. I did not see the small print which said I had to notify them to not be charged before the "free" trial ended. I have now been charged an extra $200 for not doing so. This is not honest. It is deliberately deceptive.
After a month I rang up to complain that my DNA kit hadn't arrived and was told that it was probably the fault of Australia Post but they would send me another one out of the goodness of their hearts but it still hasn't arrived.
I will try one more phone call then I will try the police.

I was having difficulty uploading my DNA to MyHeritage. I called the customer service explaining my problem, she verified my acct. And said she would walk me though it. She did, very patiently, saw the problem and explained it all to me. With her help I was able to download my DNA, and soon will see the results. Thank you for helping a senior to navigate the system.
Tip for consumers:
Don't be frustrated if trying to do something isn't working. Call the customer service, they are terrific and you will be very pleased.

I had some confusion about my account and the status of the DNA kits I purchased and submitted. The person helping me was very patient, knowledgeable and friendly. He had me straightened out in a jiffy and also provided me with some very helpful tools and info. Now well on my way to exploring my heritage.

Several of my relatives have purchased DNA kits from MyHeritage, and have enjoyed comparing ethnicity maps, chromosomes, and DNA matches. We now have a huge family tree, built with their incredible software, many branches of which lead to ancestors who arrived in the USA centuries ago. Most of them were suggested by MyHeritage, having been identified in other people's family trees and cemeteries. Branches of the family tree can be displayed in traditional design formats and printed as attractive posters.
I have come to love and trust the company, largely because of their 24-hour technical support staff who are always thoughtful, knowledgeable and intuitive (i. E., they understand exactly what you're asking, even if you can't articulate your question well). I'm also impressed by their willingness to upload and reanalyze raw DNA data that other ancestry companies have produced.

I both 2 DNA kits on 23 February. Till now I never received anything. I had them on the phone and I explained what happened but no apologies or anything. I just want my money back. They told me I will receive an email and the money will be refunded in a week... No email till now, let's see what will happen...

I've called Myheritage because the kit I sent one month ago (from France)has not been reveived yet by the laboratory and also my account was hacked. Anyway. Everything worked perfectly, even during COVID19. There was a delivery issue due to some Covid restriction. MyHeritage were very understanding and send a new kit without any issues. Great support service! And the results seems quite accurate :)

You have to ask yourself if many of these reviews have been written by marketing staff especially as the company is doing a publicity push!
I have been with MyHeritage since 2008 and am about to close my account. My reasons:
1. Customer service extremely slow or don't reply at all.
2. Once your data is uploaded to the site, navigating a family tree becomes a labourious task online.
3. Security settings set by the user to protect information have mysteriously changed on two occasions.
4. There are more cost effective alternatives with better features and more professional interfaces.
5. My perception of the company as a long time user is that they are more interested in your money than customer service.
