My Heritage is a quality site with excellent features and top-drawer customer service. Their photo-enhancing software is very impressive and helps us to see our ancestors faces much more clearly. I would like to see more primary documents available, as transcriptionists often misunderstand handwriting and the original image is always necessary for confirmation of the data.
Opened up a whole new experience, enabling me to compile my family tree with a lot of enjoyment while doing so. Input from others around the world to compare people in their Family Tree with mine and to confirm the family connection. Regular contact from My Heritage pointing out errors etc. An abundance of emails with updates to add to the tree. The Old Newspaper historical data provides extra of information from Newspapers around the world. The photograph animation is cool, also being able to turn any B&W photograph to colour and correct any faults in the photographs(cracks etc). In seconds.
My target was for around 200 people in my Tree, but my number is 13,000+ and still growing. I am very pleased and happy I found My Heritage Thank You!
I have received more information on family research in Europe and Eastern Europe from My Heritage than any other company. I also receive continuous emails adding names to my family research, identifying even more family.
I believe the higher cost almost made me quit. Your person offered to extend my subscription so I will stay. You should offer a two payment plan.
I have had problems navigating the site. I have asked several times to speak to a real person. The AI responds are not much help. When I was able to talk to someone in the past, it was a great help. Family Search and Ancestry does have real people to help. I prefer their sites because of that. MyHeritage does not help with that person touch. I don not use MyHeritage as much. Stick with FamilySearch and Ancestry.

I've emailed customer support several times with no response. My issue is defective functionality in relationship diagrams. I feel the previous version should reinstated until the defect in the new one is fixed!

It has been very interesting to know the ethnicities and I have found some cousins, which for me is already a lot. Most of the matches are low rate or very distant relatives anyhow.
Living in The Netherlands, but with an English background, my site is maintained in English. I therefore have to log on to myheritage.com, which automatically changes to myheritage.nl, and in Dutch (my profile says I want to work in English). I can then (before logging on) choose langauge English, so it then switches to myheritage.com and log in. So far fine. Then I get an email with e.g. discoveries. If I click on that then I am automatically on myheritage.nl again, and if I make the mistake of accepting anything the source is then registered with a Dutch name, so I have a number of resources twice, once with an English title and once with a Dutch one. Most frustrating, and I never found anyone in MyHeritage who is interested in looking into this. But apart from that I can record a genalogy tree as I ewould expect.

Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.
Answer: You can find your site subscriptions via MyHeritage homepage - pull-down menu on the right upper corner button "Settings". Then click on "My purchases", and button "Site subscriptions". Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
