MyHeritage continues to provide outstanding services and continues to demonstrate growth. I like the "coupling" with FT DNA with regard to family tree information as it fills a gap that FT DNA doesn't provide. I would recommend growth into more analytically tools to compare family tree/DNA info, similar to GedMatch and not necessarily replicate the tools already available through Ancestry.com or FT DNA. I would also like to see coupling with a company in England providing insight/ info on English heritages.
And there was me thinking I was English through and through… how wrong can we be!

This is a great site to build your family tree. I only have one negative point and I hope they correct it. There should be a person to person contact number for when one has to talk to someone in control. Computers and AI are good tools, but I am a little old-fashioned and still like the human input.

What can I say? Every time I turned on computer there was a message with some information regarding my heritage. It really became fun just to open the computer and get excited who I learned about today. I went in too many directions and got a little confused at times because I was trying to cover my Father's side and my Mother's side, then my husband wanted me to dig into his past.

MyHeritage has changed a couple of its features that used to be considered standard, that its customers had grown accustomed to. One is the new AI option when a user tries to add a link or information to a profile's biography page. Now, before the information can be added, the option of creating some sort of AI information is given whether the user wishes to use it or not. This complicates accessing the biography and slows the entire process down. Additionally, the comment section below an uploaded image is now gone, it has been removed right around the same time the AI option was added. No warning was given, no contact from MyHeritage about the change was offered and any information about a family photo that was once there is now gone forever. Of course, that information and description about the photo can be entered into the image's title but there is a set amount of characters that can be used in that space. So it seems that MyHeritage switching to an promoting AI for family tree resources had damaged and impeded the use of its more traditional options to caption and describe a relative's inclusion to a tree. There's more, but this is the gist of it.
Answer: My issue was the automatic renewal without any kind of courtesy reminder prior to the effective date, as other businesses do. Advising one year in advance is a poor business practice. When I contacted them immediately on the renewal effective date, they refused to cancel and offered me a 25% discount. They eventually gave me the full refund but it was due to me turning it over to AMEX to resolve. I do however agree with the advice to base your renewal on your own personal experience.

Click "View details". The details contain section "Cancel subscription". Maybe you can get advice by mail from MyHeritage support team (support@myheritage.com).

Answer: Dear Jonathan, Yes I have the same problem, I wrote to My Heritage and they have still not responded to my request for assistance. They are highly Sloppy and unprofessional in responding to customer request for assistance. Even though they have and excellent Technical Team. Fortunately I have another Computer with Windows 8 as a result of which I am able to continue working with my Website. But recently a few problems have cropped up with the recent upgrade of the My Heritage Program and have sent in a request for assistance and till today 3-5 months later I have no response. Apparently the company believes that they can play games with the customers. I firmly believe that they have somehow gone into self destructive mode.

Answer: Hi After posting my complaint about MyHeritage on here I got a very quick response from some one called Dave at the company. He told me to send an email to support@myheritage.com and add the subject Dave: sitejabber. He responded a couple of days later - I emailed on a Saturday - and the auto repeat on my subscription was cancelled and my money refunded within days. Hope this helps.
