I've had a frustrating weekend with the Tree Builder as it showed boxes that weren't on my online family tree. Called support today and spoke to Alon. She stayed with me for 75 minutes to fix the problems. Fantastic. I do wish, however, that My Heritage would work at fixing the synchronization problems between website and FT. But again, thank you for AMAZING support, Alon.

Today I had the pleasure of speaking with Heritage representative GabyB and her knowledge and patience were truly outstanding. Not only did she thoroughly answer my questions but enlightened me on a couple of Heritage web functions that I was completely unaware of. GabyB is a very positive asset to Heritage and would definitely be a "keeper" in any organization. Thank you very much GabyB!

My Barclaycard account was charged on 5th March for the sum of £90.00. (Ref: 1-385-313-975). I wasn't at home on that date and I don't know how details of my Barclaycard were known. I wish to have a refund of this charge immediately, please.

I wrote to MyHeritage well over a week ago, regarding my having to reinstall the program after a computer crash. I received not one word from them for over 10 days, by which time I had finally worked the problem out for myself. No thanks to MH.

Being a noobee in heritage the pace is a bit of a stumbling one. Didn't know if there was a helpdesk at MyHeritage. There was and a nice person responded, not in my native Danish but English is ok too. Free call and free service, that is included in the price for using the site as much as you want/physically can. It's good to have somebody to discuss these matters with. Like if a name is spelled a little different than another - is it the same family og a totally different family? The answer was that MyHeritage considers this private matters and don't interfere. The members must resolve this among themselves. Ok, but I found out anyway that in practise the system accepts 2 different spellings as the same in my case - one spelling with d was seen as the same as a spelling without the d. This could be seen as an error, but actually it forces the members to discuss this 'd' further among themselves. And that's ok.

MyHeritage offers absolutely the easiest way to find ancestors and compare your findings with other genealogists. However, one must be prepared to do an analysis of the results presented. This because far too many people simply accept the presented ancestors without judging the accuracy of the data,

I had posted a 'I am disappointed' review and Rafael was super quick at responding, asking me to contact him. Which I did. We figured out what had possibly occurred and with no blame assigned, I received a full refund, which was what I was seeking. Very quick, very accommodating and easy to work through the issue. Rafael was terrific!

My Heritage has provided me with so much information about my ancestors by encouraging me to gather info for my family tree and through matches they have discovered with other families, records, sites, etc. i was able to receive much needed assistance from their Support person Meghan in correcting my own mistakes when developing my family tree. I am very excited about learning my own heritage and so grateful to for the services of My Heritage!

I contacted customer service about not being able to register my kit. I had trouble with the phone prompts wanting to around and around. That was frustrating. When I did get a human, I had reached Aoife in Ireland. She was so helpful and resolved my problem and took very good care of the situation.

I had two issues which were resolved but it took too long. The first issue was the pixel size of the photos. The program should have called out the error specifically, but it just rejected the photo with no explanation. The second issue was a problem with the synchronization (upload) which failed. They did address and fix the problem but it took weeks. That said I am happy with the program and support, but could use improvements.

I have had a subscription to My Heritage for several years. I have not been able to any Genealogy for almost a year. On 12/25 I received and email that I had been charge 200.00 on auto renewal. I immediately tried to find how to cancel my subscription (Not easy). I finally found it and cancelled my subscription. Then I get an email that my cancellation was effective a year later. I have discussed it by email with 2 different people. First they said it cancelled. Then they wanted to set up a time to talk. I set up the time and no one called. So I have now put a refund request in. My next step is having to file a dispute with my cc.

I had my DNA tested before in Europe, since I am from Germany.
Born and raised. The EU test showed 69% German, 25% Eastern European and around 5% French.
So, we got my wife's DNA tested at MyHeritage and since they had a special offer, mine tested with hers again.
Guess what I am now. 51% British/Irish, 30% Eastern European, 16% Balkan and some Asian.
What a crap. I don't know what DNA their lab tested but it wasn't mine. Now, we cannot trust my wife's DNA test either. We know she also has some German ancestors. But not a single German DNA in her either, according to MyHeritage.
Completely unprofessional. That's why they are cheaper than the others because they just fake test your DNA.
Plus their customer service is so busy, you hang in line for an hour. I wonder why...?

Your feedback is very important to us and plays a big role in developing our product.

Please note that bio-geographical estimates, are complicated. Different researchers analyzing the same DNA of a person can come up with different estimates based on a number of different factors, including the reference populations used for comparison, the algorithm, and many more factors. Therefore these factors are consistently being improved in our DNA researching community.

We are still receiving and analyzing DNA samples for the MyHeritage Founder Population project which has been a very important study that helps us research more origins of all the specific DNA strands that is found throughout the world. This will ultimately help us give more accurate estimates in the future.

Recently with the acquisition of Legacy, I have seen a lot of negative comments about the customer service. I have been a subscriber for several years. I have not had many reasons to call them but when I do I have been treated fairly and politely. I have no problems with this company and would not hesitate to join them, although the price is getting a bit high for an automated system. I realize it takes a lot of development and everything is getting higher but those of us on a fixed income don't like to see it.

I was unable to open the Family Tree Builder app after upgrading the operating system of my Mac. I contacted the help department of MyHeritage and after waiting 11 days they gave me a link to download the latest version of the app. It worked perfectly!

Incompetent organization and people working here. They are unable to send us the correct DNA kits. We pay to send it to them and they cancel the dna kit code for no reason and don't want to compensate anything so really not recommended. Ridiculous, laughable and incompetent!

I think it is great. The customers are nice, they help you and listen to you. You can fill in your family tree and thats awesome, but its difficult. Maybe it would be great if there would be more Dutch customers.

MyHeritage Support team member was fantastic. The MyHeritage tree and the Family Tree Builder site is very intimidating when first using it. So when I wanted to merge 472 names with my already large 3270 name site I almost went into a panic when some pictures and names seemed to be lost, but Eve helped me find the problem and straighten out the branch her guidance was fantastic. My experience with the team is very positive, they helped me and made sure my problem was resolved very quickly. I did not received my dna test because of the delivery guy and they sent new ones. That was very professional.

Today I needed to request a refund for my subscription, carter I missed the e mail informing me. I no longer need to use My Heritage, and was concerned what response I would get. No need to worry, I spoke to a very sweet and polite girl, who reassured me it was not a problem. The e mail confirming the refund was within minutes. Well done!

I have been a member of My Heritage for 2 years, in my opinion it is the easiest site to use, the most reasonably priced and holds an extensive amount of data, I have had a lot of fun hours sifting through relatives of my Grandmother and found out that every single member of he family were born in a tiny village in Italy, this discovery went back 13 generations and without MyHeritage I would never have been able to go on that wonderful nostalgic historical journey, it has led to me finding many family members and spending many hours on google earth looking at the village where my ancestors lived for generations.
I highly reccomend this site. You just never know what you might discover

Signed up for a free trial and used password on numerous occasions to access the site. The day before my free trial was due to end, I signed into my account as usual and tried to cancel, but my password was not recognised! I send the "forgotten password" email requestion instructions to change, but nothing was forthcoming. I sent a message to my bank to stop the annual subscription payment (obviously I didn't want an annual membership). Then on the day my trial ended, at 10.20 in the morning, I had an email from MyHeritage thanking me for my subscription, hoping I would be happy! Despite numerous applications for password change instructions and telling them I do not want an annual subscription, there has been no affirmative correspondence, only acknowledgements of my emails!
BEWARE! I am hoping that with continued communication with my bank, my annual subscription will not be withdrawn by MyHeritage.

I did not understand how the MyHeritage shopping cart worked and was not able to clear it without assistance as the FAQ page doesn't address it (yet). The response to my request for help was came quickly and solved the problem. The member of the MyHeritage support team was clear on explaining the solution (there is a trash can) and confirmed for me that the shopping cart was empty.
