I can trace my family back in Sweden over 200 years and back in Denmark over 150 years. MyHeritage provided 500 matching people links in Sweden and almost 200 in Denmark. They then informed me that I have zero ethnic connection to Sweden or Denmark. Clearly something in their algorithms is not working.

I was feeling quite discouraged because of the windstorm that took out my PC along with the contents of my files etc. I truly appreciate the excellent help you gave me to get my enthusiasm up again. My Heritage is a great programme and is well supported by such great tech advice by people like Evalien.

My credit card was charged for automatic renewal 2 days ago. As I forgot about signing up for this site, I did not use it. I tried to cancel the subscription $209. The renewal was cancelled for 2020 and not for this year--It was renewed on Feb. 22,2019. I want a refund on my credit card for 2019. I went to the website to ask for my money to be refunded.
The website would not work. I called and was on the phone for 1.5 hours. I started out as #6 customer to be serviced. When I got to be the next customer, I had a 45 minute wait and then the phone was disconnected on me. I can find no simple contact website so I am using this review one, hoping someone at MyHeritage will get back to me. I may try to call back at 1 am and see if I can get some service.

I absolutely understand how frustrating it is to wait to speak to a representative and I will do all I can to help.

Firstly, I must clarify that MyHeritage informs all of any charge and its price on the automatic e-mail that is sent out after you enroll in a subscription and after every renewal or purchase a DNA kit. Also, one may view the status or cancel an annual subscription at any time when logging in to MyHeritage from the My Purchases page and incur no annual charge.

Your member experience is very important to us and we really do value the satisfaction of all of our members. This is why our terms and conditions read that If you are not satisfied with your purchased plan you may request a full refund by contacting Customer Support within thirty (30) days of the initial purchase date of the subscription.

I would be more than happy to assist you personally with issuing you a full refund. In order to do so, I’m going to need to locate your account.

I have had a number of issues with MyHeritage in the recent past, the principal one relating to the message to check that you're not a Robot, and then just repeating after you go through the Recaptcha routine. After an initial delay in responding within the promised time (understandable in these lockdown times), I was informed the issue was resolved, only for it to recur. I raised the issue once more, and it now seems to have been quickly resolved, along with a number of other issues that I had raised.

I put my DNA samples in the mailbox ignoring the postage was not pre-paid (my fault! Didn´t pay attention to the instructions) their customer service gave me the best solution, so I can get my dna samples tested!

I also got bogus DNA results from this site. There is no way that I have 40% Greek and I would like for them to re-test. Every time I try to call them the wait on the phone is forever and for technical questions (that I am assuming my question would fall under) the message outgoing tells me to call back during 7-4PM eastern. I have called during these times. I feel like this company just tries to get as many people to participate and doesn't do their science correctly and then ignores you. Aside from waiting 45 minutes and some seconds on hold to get a question answered, the fellow was helpful. I got my question answered. But I rarely have 45 minutes to wait on hold. It won't happen again.

I ordered a kit for my sister and I, we submitted/mailed the same day. I received email notifications and progress, yet my sister did not. I got my results and sis hadn't even received confirmation, then couldn't get back into her website. The associate on the line was cheerful, kind and helpful. I had kit numbers so she was able to find my sisters, but of course, couldn't release any information. I asked if she would confirm the email on record and it was typo in the email. So my sister will be calling in to get everything straightened out on her end. Wish all client services were as nice as this one!

Pay attention to the automatic subscription that comes at the end of the 1-month free trial and know that the free trial starts when you ORDER your kit, not when you receive results. You will not receive a notice that the free trial is expiring and you will be charged automatically. If you do not intend to keep a subscription, I recommend cancelling the auto renewal immediately by setting up an account and using the MyHeritage Chat for instructions to "Cancel My Subscription."

I had a issue with my DNA kit which I found out went sending back the incorrect postage was put on the package so it is now lost with the royal mail. I phoned to ask how long the DNA sample would last and explained my situation and with no questions asked she offered to send me a new one out even though it was not My Heritage's issue or fault. I would just like to say thank you so much for the best customer service I have ever received.

I was having an issue changing the name of the default person on a new "Family Tree" I uploaded. I searched everywhere on the profile page and could not find the answer. I called tech support explained to the tech my problem. He understood right away and within a few minutes, he had solved my problem. The tech was a pleasure to speak with very understanding of what help I needed.

Excellent customer service over the phone, I had a few issues with one parcel not being delivered and I was also billed initially for a subscription option I didn't intend to renew (that somehow was renewed automatically) so I called the customer service US toll free number. A kind customer service staff member helped to sort things out and have my refund.

Shannon was extremely helpful in getting my tree up and running with the new app. I haven't done anything with my site in many years and I couldn't access it due to using an android device. Within minutes she had me up and running again.

I was contemplating signing up once again for their pay service, but after the horrible experience I had---exactly like the people who have complained below---where my account was charged for a renewal without notification... when I called and got a female rep, all she could do was call me sweetie, and tell me it was all my fault because I had ignored notices---which I never received... and this was the day after the term was up. She told me I was "stuck" with it for another 6 months... I see " plus ca change, plus ca reste la meme chose"

I paid for the 9.95 per month package and then they stole 120 pounds from me. Now its saying I don't have a membership and need to upgrade to see records. So they steal my money and I'm not aloud to see anythingon the website. Trying to get back my money, please don't use myheritage.

MyHeritage offers an assembly of free and paid subscriptions that will fit your research and budget. This includes a free basic membership and a free downloadable Family Tree Builder program.

It seems you have purchased a Premium membership instead of a Data subscription. A data subscription is a separate membership because it expands as more historical data is uploaded from MyHeritage partners that require royalties on its use by customers.

That being said, some features require a paid membership to ensure the development and upkeep of our research tools. Some of our members prefer to only pay for some features as they don't really use the entire array of tools we offer. This is why we offer separate subscriptions along with a full complete one.

We absolutely value your membership and overall member experience. I'd like to learn more about the specific research you are doing so I can give you more information on choosing the right subscription for your research needs.

When I received my results, I was totally surprised. Where I expected to see an Italian-Slovak mix, my predominant heritage is Greek-Scandinavian-Balkan.

The young lady at My Heritage, who I originally contacted, professionally walked me through the analysis using the ethnic maps. This cleared things up.

Subsequently, i had a long discussion with Aaron, from My Heritage. He gave me a tutorial on DNA and related analyses to the point I totally understand and am very comfortable with the results. He also explained to me how i can use the possible "related" persons.to further enhance my results.

I am urging family and friends to get their DNA analyzed by My Heritage.

I lost 614 members in my family tree. Mimi gave me excellent help. She gave me time "for trial and error". Finally we found my lost members "in good Health" and they are United in the family. So great, Mimi!

The website is wonderful. I only use the web version (not the desktop platform) and it pretty much covers all I need.

I've had very positive experiences with Ansectry.com though, and one thing in their favor is their oncredible record matches. For some reason, in that sense, I had a more positive experience with them.

All in all - great. Still short on some albums and charts features by superior by far to anything else Ive had a chance of using.
