I contacted customer support because I was having trouble getting into the program. I had been a My Heritage member several years ago and recently returned. I am not real computer literate and had sent an email for help advising that. I received a phone call from Shiman and he walked me through the process to get the site open and working. He was on the phone with me for over 30 minutes and was very helpful. He was calm and went through things step by step and was very calm and did not get upset that he was dealing with someone that was not well versed in computer knowledge and language. I could not ask for more.

I have been using MyHeritage for the last seven years, but only for the last one and a half year, I am a Premium member. Being Premium (paying) member, I got excellent results. Several months ago, I found a second-cousin of mine, her father, who was the cousin of my mother, survived the Holocaust, and built a family. Our parents never knew about each other.
Using Smart-Match and DNA-Match functions, I found many other family members.

I have called Tech Spt several times as I learned how to navigate and use My Heritage. Every time the support personnel have been fully informed and extremely helpful. As a result, I have been able to reliably expand my tree well back into the 1700s. Good product in spite of a couple of the reviews below. My Heritage is just like any other s/w, if you do not learn how to use it, it will not work well.

I wanted to copy a section of my family tree to form the basis for a new tree. I spoke with Shoham, who listened and fully understood my requirement. She sent an email with full, easy to follow, instructions on how to achieve this. The new tree is now up and running smoothly.

I was initially somewhat disappointed with my DNA results. They were so far off compared to my family history information and another major DNA company I, my sister and my father tested with. I had some trouble with downloading my raw data so I called customer service. She quickly resolved my problem and also told me that their algorithms will be updated by the end of May so I am looking forward to the update on my Ethnicity Estimate. If it improves, then I will give My Heritage a higher rating for their DNA product.

I received an email with my ethnicity results. Logged into the MyHeritage website (the email didn't have a link to their site) but it has no record of me ordering a DNA kit. I entered the kit number on the activation page and was told it wasn't a valid code. The MyHeritage app read the code off of the box and also said it was invalid. I really have no idea how I was sent my ethnicity if I don't have a valid DNA kit. 24/7 phone support is a joke. MyHeritage must consider a recorded message stating they are closed as support. MyHeritage is for you if you like dated websites that require telephone support, emails that do not have hotlinks and being asked to buy another kit with most every screen you click on.

I started using MyHeritage.com over two years ago. A special membership pricing lured me in, and exceptional resources at a reasonable price have kept me there. Add to this, a great interactive format and the ability to easily connect with other members has led to much new information and multiple confirmation of pre-known information. Recently, I was unable to connect to parts of the site due to a corrupt ed email address. I contacted customer service in the wee morning hours. A very congenial and capable customer service agent reset my account with my new email account and patiently waited while I made sure everything worked well. An average internet service with good customer service is a pleasure to work with, and a great service with great customer service is not just great, it makes for an exceptional experience. I ordered an ADN kit to be delivered to my address. I got an e-mail from a delivery service (GLS) confirming my kit had been delivered to another pick-up point, without giving me the address! After 1 hour waiting on the phone, I contacted My Heritage to ask for assistance. Their only assistance was to cancel my order without my confirmation.
Appauling service, stay away!

I called yesterday, to see if I activated the wrong kit number, that I bought for my mother, whose in another state. Anyway, when Joy got on the line, she helped ease my mind, when I asked about the wait, just to get to the lab. My mother mailed it on the 29th of January and it doesn't show that the lab received it, yet. Well, she said, they probably haven't gotten to it, to scan it in, because of how many they receive and that I did type in the correct number. So, thank you, Joy. I passed that information on to my Mom, whose now in rehab for walking pneumonia.

Nov. 14th, I requested a DNA Kit. My money was immediately taken but this is Dec. 8th and I have received nothing. You said you were in a two week delay. Attempts to call tell me I am eighth in line to speak to a person. It took so long my phone shut down while I was waiting and still I was still number eight. An immediate attempt told me I was number ten. After a while I had to hang up. This is poor service and I have probably lost my money.

I had bought a 12 month package from Heritage for my page, unfortunately I hadnt realised it was an ongoing and renewable subscription.
As soon as I had been informed by email that my package had been renewed and debited to my account, I rang the 24hr service and left a message asking for it to be refunded. Initially no-one got back to me, however I rang again a few days later and left another message. This was replied to promptly, informing me that my refund was being processed and would appear in my account in the next few days.
There were a few days of worry, however I am very happy all has been resolved smoothly.

I called initially because I had misplaced my kit number. I was unable to do anything on the website without it. To my dismay, the website stated that my email address was not valid. Long story short, I sent off my kit with a typo error in the email address and they were not able to process my kit. Tessa, the young lady I spoke to on the phone discovered the problem, rectified it and got my kit back on track. She told me I would get an email in a day or two with my activation code. I was quite happy with the outcome. However, Tessa, it seems was not. About 5 minutes after I hung up, I received a call from Tessa saying that she had talked with her manager and asked if she could call me back and give me my activation code over the phone so that I wouldn't have to wait. She walked me step by step through the process of recording my code. It has been a long time since I've had that kind of service over the phone. WOW!

I send in my DNA kit in Feb. Than I was told that there was same wrong and you send me another kit. So I did it again. But this time nobody told me that they had the same problem. I email you and ask why there are no results NOBODY RESPONDED. So I email again and nothing. This time I call and then I was told that you were have the same problem and if I had a sex change. Well If you can't get it right. Then return my $69.00 dollars and I will go the Ancestry.com and see if they can do it right.

I cancelled the free trial and they still charged me $160. I cannot get a live person. I don't believe they have live people there. I put in to cancel so they canceled it for September 2024! Went ahead and charged me for another year! TERRIBLE SERVICE!

I was locked out of my account on MyHeritage about a year ago. I was forced to change my email address to a new one. Because of that change I have not been able to download GEDCOM files nor can I sund Family Tree builder.
I have sen countless emails to customer support without a response.
I have called customer support countless times and explained the situation and have had no satisfaction. Often the connection is lost. I don't know if they just hung up on my call or not.
In an y case, I am now locked out of my account and have not been able to contact any version of customer support.

I cannot say enough about the patience and persistence of EdenC. Eden took at least an hour trying several troubleshooting strategies and, with much determination, restored and tested the sync function of my Family Tree Builder. Eden obviously knows how to navigate an imac computer which was impressive. All of Eden's emails really helped me understand the Tree issues and prepared me for our very successful TeamViewer session. I was also truly impressed with Eden's knowledge of the Family Tree Builder software. I feel very comfortable knowing that My Heritage can be so helpful. I signed up for the free trail of 14 days on September 22,2020 they took $149.99 from my account that same day. I canceled on that same day. I did receive an email telling me that my account is canceled. I'm trying to get my money back to no avail. When I call the phone number they want my account number which I do not have without an account number you cannot get through to anyone on the phone. I have sent emails and have received no response. Do not sign up for any free trails they will still take your money and not return it. The good reviews on this site, I would like to know how they were able to contact anyone.

I did wait on line for a very long time till it was my turn. The support technician asked me my problem and had it fixed in a couple of minutes.
