My heritage has been amazing and helped me research my genealogy to beyond belief. With confirmation on google I have gone back to 317 BC on my fathers mothers side. Unbelievable. In Syria one fought with Alexandra the great. Came through Mesapotamia, Turkey, Germany, Sweden Norway France and into England with Wm the Conquerer. Love My Heritage.

I am from South Africa, and my package had some issues going through our postal services. I contact the the team and they were able to help me effieciently and fairly. It is a shame our postal service messed this up becuase I was reeally excited about the DNA test.

Just a word about support: They really do get back to you and are dedicated to solving your (or their) issues. Their first level support on my first contact sort of missed the point of my question and sent me some boilerplate documentation indicated that he hadn't read my question, but after I got through to Shlomi, the responses were prompt and excellent. I even got responses early Sunday morning, and on a holiday--exceptional service!

I ordered a kit Jan 7th 2019. I got an email say the results would be ready March 7th. March 6th I get informed the rest wonder be available until March 24 the through April 24th. Really? 3 to 4 months waiting for results. Don't use myheritage!

I couldn't synchronise to my complete site; it always linked to the basic site with only 250 persons. It was difficult to get a phone-connection at first. But... Eve helped me from the beginning to the end: I could explain my problem and now everything is allright!

Immediately started trying to build a tree using my grandfather who was a state senator, a colonel in the US Army, and a very prominent businessman and I could find nothing of consequence in the MyHeritage database. If one so prominent as this was lacking for data then finding my European relatives was a non-starter.

I uploaded my DNA from Ancestry to my heritage. Com. I know for a fact my moms side of the family is Italian. I've even met my great-grand parents. Ancestry had it right. But my heritage was laughable, it had no Italian listed there. According to Ancestry I'm 80% Italian. With my heritage I had no Italian. Lol I told them to delete that nonsense.

I would like to commend the Technical support staff in resolving an issue with synchronizing between FTB (Family Tree Builder) and the Family web site. It was a complicated (buggy) problem which took 3 different support people a while to figure out and fix. Ron, the last support person to work on this was very patient and helpful during the whole process.

When they charge you for the coming year, they do NOT notify you until after they charge and they refuse to cancel or refund me. I was charged $230 and called to cancel the service. When I said no, I want to cancel, they simple refused and charged my credit card the full price. Google them carefully and you will find this is a FREQUENT experience. The service is NOT that great and the site is full of bugs. Do not be fooled by the "free trial".

My account was overcharged as vat ontop of what was the "offer" was not explained. Phone calls back and forth and finally spoke to a manager today who tried offering me everything under the sun to stay! I explained that I want my money back under the sites guarantee. She told me it will take 14days and I will be sent an email. I asked for her email address and she kept saying that it will be in the email, eventually I got the email address from her only to send her an email saying confirmation of my cancellation and refund has not come through lo and behold the email address is invalid! I do g hold out hope for my refund. Disgusted with the customer service

I was approached by MyHeritage to renew my subscription. I was convinced by the discount but was bullied into taking the subscription immediately (i wanted to do it a few days later - after payday).
The amount that promised was just under R800.
A second amount for R1106 then also went off. I have been trying to get hold of MyHeritage for them to explain what is going on. It is nearly impossible to get hold of them. One can only get in contact via Facetime - an avenue not available to me. Their contact phone number on Google does not exist.
I would suggest to anyone to rather use any of the other sites.
Tip for consumers:
MyHeritage representatives don't give you all the information before billing and when they take more than double of what they offered, there is absolutely no way of getting hold of them to discuss this.

UPDATE: I contacted my bank and provided all the details regarding this scam transaction and fact of refusing to do a refund. And trey refunded me FULL value. So do not hesitate to contact your bank and ask them to open a dispute. But just after 1 minute after I got email regarding the refund they contacted me and said that, they did it cause of my review here (when I got phone call they told me I can only get 30% refund.). THIS IS TOTAL SCAM, guys from the US please sue them for such transactions. Cheers.
Never get an account there! They got a trial account for 14 days and asks you to provide credit card info. After 14 days passed they charged 120$ for a year subscription. I didn't ordered it, I wanted to try it and forget if I don't want it anymore. Their policy says it has 30 days of refund. DO NOT TRUST THEM, they just ignore their own ToS. Good job, MyHeritage!

Ordered a DNA kit and was given free 1 month trial - next thing I am billed 191.00 for 1 year, when I tried to cancel it was not cancelled for this 12-month period but upcoming year - B. O. Q. NO HELP. So trying to get refund but hold out no hope SCAM SCAM SCAM

After a few used it will say you can't used animate your photos anymore since you're free trial is over. Then after some days it will automatically charged my bank account for a year subscription without a warning. I called and file a dispute, refund right away! Been on the line for long and all they will say is to wait for someone to callback. NO ONE IS CALLING BACK YET! They took it that fast why cant they atleast return it in few days!

My DNA kit was bought for me as a Christmas gift. The product is excellent value with a high customer rating. This rating has been fully justified by my experience with them. After taking the simple DNA test and returning to My Heritage I waited the expected time to hear back. Due to Covid19 breakout I allowed extra time. However My Heritage did not receive the kit. My email to them was dealt with very efficiently and a new kit was offered at no charge. I look forward to receiving and resubmitting my test. Many thanks to the My heritage team.
