Voluminous threads of one branch of my family. And that's all. Not a thing about the other three, even though I entered 3 generations back to get started. Was repetitive and boring.

Had to wait in queue a while but rather than music they gave updates of my place in line which helped. My rep spoke English well and helped me resolve my issue satisfactorily,

The fields for individual data per person are complete and handle complex situations well. You may sometimes want to refer to the manual, but usually it is intuitive with the suggested relationships. You will soon find out that others learn from your family tree and that you get help with the numerous "discoveries" coming in. Too many, sometimes yes, overwhelming, but much depend on your attitude: a true family tree specialist or just making a highly documented family tree of some 5-6 generations deep. Both work.
In the days after the recent hacking incident, I had some difficulties to re-establish new password for the PC application, but these were solved rapidly by the support team. Note that there are two different support channels: by e-mail or by phone. In my experience, the phone support works best. You get a true personal service, albeit that this could entail calling you back, rather than your call finding directly your "personal assistant". This is a good software tool, with a knowledgeable support team.

This site was useless and confusing. They seem to be American based as I only found one canadian deceased with a similar name to my dad. What a joke! Total scam!

I had just renewed my subscription but it kept showing, 'not a member'. Pauline helped me sort it out and everything is now going great. I spoke with someone who cared.

I spent a very productive hour on the phone with Jack and was able to delete some incorrect entries to my family tree. I thank him for his patience

I've been using My-heritage for over 5 years. When comparing Apples to Apples of Genealogy Websites, My heritage is far better. Customer service is not as great but eventually they listen.

Notice that these reviews started 3-1/2 years ago and it was bad; now there are 10 reviews. However 7 of those reviews were in the last two months and they were all glorious. One review stated that he has "used all the other sites, but this is the best". Another reviewer wrote that he has been using My Heritage for "several years"; really and you decided to put a review in NOW! Come on! It doesn't take much imagination to figure out who initiated the sudden rush of reviews…notice the dates!
I purchased what I thought was their Premier Plus package for $119.95, only to find out that it was some type of Data Subscription…what?! When I emailed their support staff, Chris responded with, "A lot of people do write in asking about the differences and buy one thinking they bought the other." A lot of people? That is probably why there is now a Facebook Group dedicated to warning people about My Heritage's bait and switch tactics. This company is not located in the U.S. so once you pay…you're screwed! If I get my money back, I'll be more than glad to Update this post. Let's see if THAT ever happens!

Do your research on this company before you part with your money as there are hundreds of bad reviews on the web. Even a Facebook site called My Heritage Scam

I use the DNA kit and family tree on MyHeritage. I have found them pleasant to deal with and were very helpful. Wish their prices would be more affordable though.
Products used:
DNA kits and online genealogy service

Melody was very helpful and pleasant. Your customer service is great but wait time too long. I don't feel like I should have to write a 100 word review when a few simple sentence is sufficient.

Very fine and quick help on three issues.
1. Change password
Two.Stop super search alerts
3. Change browser to avoid shut down of my three when working at it.
But I had preferred it in Danish

Excellent Website and service. Got very far up on my genealogy tree in about 2 days. Purchased the DNA test but could not get myself to do it yet so instead went up the genealogy part.

Growing up the 2 heritages that was known for certain was that I had a lot of German, my grandfather was adopted, but in researching his natural parents, they were from Germany with a very German last name, so they probably didn't just immigrate from Great Britain. The other well known fact, my grandparents knew of them in the family tree was Native American. I am suppose to have Native American on both sides, more on my maternal side, but one known of on my Paternal side as well, and this isn't that far back, so I would think it would show up in some manner. But mine shows primarily British/Irish- Well that's possible, from my maternal side, then it's broken down from there, but not a speck of German or Native American. I even looked up where Native American were before migrating to US and they were from Asia, but I don't have any of that either. I don't know how you can prove the legitimacy of this, but I'm not certain that it is accurate.

I required customer service in order to cancel my membership, due to a current financial burden. Shane helped me so quickly and without hesitation. I really appreciated his professionalism!

I did my DNA and was shock by the results, I may agree with 60 % of it but what struck me the most was the British/Irish descendant ( about 23 %)... the reason I question this part is because I moved to the UK 6 years ago and never had any links with this country as I was born in South America, I have been trying to get an answer from My Heritage but up to now I have no answer... I have sent my kit from the UK so I was wondering if this has something to do with it. Can someone help please, thanks
Date of experience: May 31, 2017
Hi Edgard,
It is understandable to be curious about your DNA results when 23% of your ethnicity report shows you British/Irish and you were born in South America.
It is because of this very question, we offer research tools such as DNA matching, Ancestral surnames and family tree research to help you understand your family story.
Sending your DNA vile from the UK has very little influence on your results in regards to your question. When our lab receives a DNA sample (i. E. the two vials with the swabs) our lab technicians do not review your Myheritage tree, name, address or location where you are sending your vile from.
Our lab will only scan the DNA kit's code in order to link the raw DNA results to your Myheritage profile so you get the results.
I'd like to give you more information on how to use all of our research tools available to you and how they are integrated with DNA research.
Please e-mail me at rafael.vipsupport@myheritage.com.
Happy to Help
Rafael

Dear Megan,
Thank you for your review here on SiteJabber.
SuperSearch includes more than 6 billion genealogy records such as birth, marriage, death, burial, census, military, immigration, yearbooks and other types of records, plus scans of the original documents.
It also includes MyHeritage family trees, photos and members that are public – altogether more than one billion exclusive records from all over the world that in most cases can only be found on MyHeritage.
SuperSearch provides worldwide coverage with content relevant to all countries.
We are rapidly expanding the data sets and plan to grow SuperSearch over time to become the largest international collection of historical documents available online. Around 200 million additional records added on average every month!
It may be that you need to filter your search criteria and you can do this by using the map of the world which then allow you to geographically search for records.
Trusting this has proven useful.
Kind Regards,
Dean,
MyHeritage Team.
