I first purchased my My Heritage DNA test on the 10th of August, the lab received my samples on the 6th of September and I am still waiting for my results. The first prediction for my results to be released to me was mid October, then they changed it to the 1st of November and I am still waiting. I am not expecting my samples to work and really wish I didn't spend the money at this point in time. Don't waste your money

I was having some difficulties uploading a family tree with about 4000 people and 6000 images from Family Tree Builder to MyHeritage.
Some of the difficulties were due to my inexperience with these programs, and some were due to limitations of the image upload system.
The MyHeritage support team were very persistent and helpful, and now my tree is fully functional on MyHeritage.

Rip-off artist: My MyHeritage Webb site stopped synchronizing with "MyHeritage Family Tree Builder". I contacted their support team to rectify the problem, but to no avail. It was obviously a corrupt database, and the only way to rectify this was by deleting the site and starting afresh. To may horror the account was deleted at the same time. On contacting MyHeritage to transfer the remaining subscription to a new account, I was told no problem just send the original payment details, which I did including the payment conformation receipt from them. Then the communications go dead, no response from any of my emails. They owe me 5 months subscription plus and extra 6 months given to me originally by their management due to an error on the original renewal, plus a gift card of $30 (valid until 17/08/2023) I am highly infuriated by this treatment of their incompetence to rectify the database and then the non-communication after promising to rectify the account. Think twice before you sign up with them and do not believe a word that comes out of their mouths.

My DNA test KITs got outdated (my fault) and I contacted support using their CHAT BOT.
Sharon (a human support), came back to me quickly and was very friendly and very professional.
As I couldn't get any replacement KITs to France, because of a law change that made it somehow illegal,
Sharon offered a refund immediately, which I really appropriated, and after some difficulties refunding to my old Credit card that was not in use anymore, Sharon managed to find solutions, make the refund and solve the issue.
The whole communication was very pleasant, fast and professional. Truly, the definition of a great support.
I will defiantly buy new DNA Test KITs once I'm out of France.

However, my biggest question was about my Native American DNA. I was disappointed that MyHeritage does not have a data base for Native Americans. PBH

Have had £112 and want a refund, there is no customer service to talk about this, don't get what they say you can get with, they want money for every search with records. I would not recommend

I have been a user of MyHeritage for about 6 months and for me it is like an addiction. I can't wait to get to the next grandparents and find out a little about them. On one branch I have reached the 1100-1000 and in Wales their names were completely different like "Llywarch" or "Gronwy". I suppose they are in the Welsh language. Plus I found a Baron and a Viscount (whatever that means). But I found them in the wikipedia with a photo. I think I look a little bit like him. It's all very easy too. With millions of users with some of the same ancestors makes it all easier. After a long discussion MH said there is a bug in the program. I wait already more than 2 years (start dec. 2020) for the correction. And there are 4 other problems, who are still not solved.

My family tree side had expired. The customer support person was easy to talk to and helpful. She set up a renewal of the site and implemented in 60 seconds. Very Impressive!

Make sure you switch off the 14 day free trial or they will automatically bill you $119. Took me 2 hours to finally get through. Initially spoke to "Breck" who was very rude. Had to call back and was eventually credited back my money. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.

In a computer crash, I lost Family Tree Builder with all my contacts and photos -- years of work. In trying to restore it, I lost them on the MyHeritage website. Luckily they were backed up on the website, and the Help team showed me how to restore them on Family Tree Builder and the website.

Only my paternal mother is still alive. She is nearly 92 years old, but has a sharp mind. Before she departs this earth I decided to create a family tree on a big sheet of paper. I was soon to run out of space for the branches, but more importantly there were too many missing pieces. After a Google search I came across MyHeritage.com and soon got to grips with just how easy it was to use in creating a graphic family tree. Being a pensioner myself the fact that MyHeritage was free to use up to an acceptable size limit.
In my opinion MyHeritage.com has all the features that a person requires to start a family tree from scratch and then grow the tree according to your allocated budget. A further plus for me has been the fact that old family photographs can now be preserved in your MyHeritage album. Not only can you see who is linked to who in the family branch, but you can also have a face or full photo linked to that family member.
I also think that the support that is offered by strangers also engaged in building their trees, has been an inspiration to me. Without finding MyHeritage.com this would still have me shuffling piles of paper across the table.

Most sites with annual subscriptions have caught onto the fact that it's both ethical and pragmatic to warn customers when an automatic annual subscription is coming up. Not MyHeritage. Their strategy seems to be to charge you without warning and then dig in their heels.
The customer service representative refused to address the charge or a refund until I called them. Their escalation script after that seems to go like this:
1) Scold you for not realizing that a year ago you automatically agreed to a renewal in 365 days.
2) Offer to upgrade your plan.
3) Offer to upgrade your plan and turn off the auto-renewal.
4) Go to "speak to the manager" and come back with a partial refund offer.
5) Offer to upgrade your plan with the partial refund.
6) Scold you one last time and remind you that you automatically agreed to a renewal a year ago and it's not on them to remind you ahead of time that they're charging your card.
The result? A lot of people in the genealogy community hearing about the practices and never using their site again.

Also, one may view the status or cancel an annual subscription at any time online when logging into MyHeritage from the My Purchases page and incur no annual charge.
In any case, a refund is guaranteed if you are not happy with your membership for 30 days of the initial purchase date of the subscription.

I am disgusted of my heritage. It's outrageous, specially because making so hard to cancel an online service by demanding a phone call from accounts that never happens by all means it is dishonesty and dishonour of the regulations.
Like many others I am a victim of 14 day trial. On the 14 day I was charged $$$$$. I need the money back and it was out of my budget.
On the 14 day after few hours I phoned and emailed to refund my money. I wanted only free trial. In their regulation is written that it is 30 day refund if you are not happy with the services. I was charged for a year and when I called the woman said if I cancel my account they would not have to give me any refund, so her advice was that I must wait a miracle for the customer services call me back to proceed with my request. This is not reasonable since she said the customer services and accounts departments are in different parts of the globe, apparently in Israel and I am in Australia so when should I receive a call? I am willing to wait overnight and anytime. It's a rip off and unfair, very bad service and I don't wish it for my worst enemy. They even not honour their policy of refund! If they want charge me for 14 days okay, even though was supposed to be a free trial but not for an year NO, I don't admit this abuse!
I am deeply disappointed and also disgusted of this dishonourable behaviour.

Waiting for your results is estimated at 4-6 weeks but under various circumstances, it may take longer once our lab receives your DNA sample.
We currently have a high volume of DNA kit purchasers and each DNA sample is given extra attention and care to ensure our DNA research community gets the most accurate results.
