I called to find out how to upload my DNA from 23and me to my heritage. Tessa sent me an email with pictures and details how to accomplish this. It had to be done on a computer not an iPad.

I was happy with my DNA results, but after few months.I saw my bank account and I saw that MYHRRITAGE.COM charged me $136.74 dollars. I called them and tried to talk to them about it and they said they will give you a call tomorrow and I never got a call, and I even asked to talk to someone else that knows how to fix my problem and they couldn't transfer the call and they hang up the phone. So I would not recommend this company because the are soooo unprofessional, and can not run the company will.ALSO I DID NOT GET MY MONEY BACK!

I wish I could give zero stars. I have done three different DNA tests, and the results from MyHeritage DNA were absurdly off base. The other two results were in agreement.

I understand that that in comparison with DNA tests you took with different companies and you find that your ethnicity estimate results differ between the providers.
To estimate your ancestral ethnicity, MyHeritage compares your DNA with the DNA of people around the globe, whose genetic ethnicity is known. Currently our genetic models are based on 42 ethnic groups around the world. But this will improve thanks to our Founder Population project.
It is true that different researchers and different providers, analyzing the same DNA of a person, can come up with different estimates because the reference populations vary between every company. Another factor is how every company develops its own algorithm, which can result in a diverse ethnicity estimate.

I uploaded my AncestryDNA test results (dna data) to myheritage because I had received the following:

It is also available to anyone who has tested with another company and uploads their results to MyHeritage. It's 100% free to upload and includes free matching for life. And we recently confirmed that those who upload their results can contact their matches on MyHeritage for FREE! "
So I followed the instructions and did it which is a miracle because I'm not a techie at all. I called MyHeritage to ask more specific questions and the young man was very helpful to me. He answered all my questions and was awesome! Thank you MyHeritage.

I would give this company a negative 5 star review if it was available. Their business model is pure hucksterism. They offer you a special price on a basic dna testing kit and a free two months subscription to their website. The subscription starts when you order the dna kit and is running while you await the results of the dna test (which has now been out for over 2 months) at which point your free subscription expires and you are charged $162.00 for the joy of learning nothing. When I tried to get a refund they gave me the boiler room move of saying "a manager will be in touch within 24 hours." I insisted on speaking to a manager right away and they repeatedly foreswore that they were all very busy taking phone calls in a call center in India. The call never came and so I called the next day - this time to a call center in Guatemala. Same schtick: "a manager will be in touch..." Not having it, I'm calling the AG and I will not hang up until a refund is processed into my account. (Having worked in a call center I know they cannot hang up until you terminate the call. Professional hint.) Presto, the refund is processed. And I still have not received the results of my dna test. Tank this company.
Tip for consumers:
Be watchful over the hidden subscription fee that comes two months later. Sneaky.

The free trial Data subscription that you were offered and entered into, has nothing to do directly with the DNA test itself and is rather a tool to assist you with accessing records and documents to assist you with your historical family research.
Please note that once you enter into a free trial subscription, or purchase a full years subscription (Site or Data), you are sent a "Thank you" email to your registered MyHeritage.com email address.
Within this email, there are listed the benefits of the subscription and also instructions on how to cancel the automatic charge at the end of the free trial period also shown is the renewal price for the following year.
We do however understand that these emails may be routed to a junk or spam folder and therefore get overlooked.

I had a trickyproblem at the technical assistant (Female) at My Heiitage was very patient and helpful, taking me through numerous steps to track down the posslbe cause and problem.
When it got to 1:30am my time, she agreed to look at the upload screen dumps I hadsent and to get back to me the next day (evening my time). She in-fact called my and clairfied the problem and solution - I was most impressed

You gave me 'My Heritage' in pictures so beautifully laid out! For years now I have been trying to figure out how to create a family tree of our rather "yuge" (to borrow Trump's word) and extended members of the Montenegro and Gonzalvez families. It is a real blessing that a cousin of mine living in the US told me to try and contact 'My Heritage'. Actually, I was trying to find my father's ancestors. He was born in Spain. You were able to provide me with his parents names, but not other members of his family. I did try very hard to check out all the names given but none panned out. Nevertheless, the family tree was created of the members of the 2 families that I could provide. Now I have a family tree and am thrilled to have one! Your system is really great, particularly since I am able to upload pictures of each member, as well as family group pictures and so on. And the process doing this is made so very simple!
So now, I am in the process of printing my Family Album and Family Tree. I will have a local printer print out copies of this, for distribution to my immediate family, so that generations hence, they will be able to look at our beautifully laid out Family Tree and Family Album. They will know who their ancestors are without having to go through the time-consuming research I had to go through!

Two DNA test results = 49% Central American defined as Indian, Spanish and African. What does this mean? Am I 48% Indian and 1% Spanish or 1 % Indian and 48 % African? Don't waste your money!

It is not very effective to controll several times the same information, if you have matches from different family trees to the same person. It is not necessairy to control all times all information.

There are cases when you might want to stop receiving Smart Matches from specific family trees or for a specific person indeed.
- If a webmaster has duplicate trees, you might receive duplicate matches for each of his/her trees. To prevent this, you can choose to ignore some of the trees you get matches from. This can reduce the amount of matches you get.
- If you are not interested in receiving matches from a specific webmaster, you can choose to ignore it
If you don't want to receive matches from a source tree any longer, this is how to proceed:
1. Log in to your family site.
2. Move your mouse cursor over the ‘Discoveries’ tab and select ‘Matches by source’:
Here you will be able to see all the matches found from a specific source in your family tree.
3. Click on the ‘Smart Matches’ tab to filter the list by Smart Matches only.
4. Click on ‘Review X matches’ to see the list of all the matches found from this specific source.
5. To ignore this source tree completely, click on 'More actions' on the upper right-hand side of the list and choose 'Ignore this tree'.
This will reject all the matches from the specific source you selected and the system will remember not to send you matching from this source tree.

2/28/2018. While it was the most frustating time of my genealogy research, I was in shock when I received notification when I tried to log in about 18 days ago and received the message I was blocked because of possible misuse. What? My tree is private and I couldn't imagine. I waited about 5 days before contacting MyHeritage and finally reached a human and pled my case. He agreed I had done nothing wrong and there was possibly an incident of someone hacking my account (this very probable and I have an idea of who tried it...). MyHeritage and I contacted back and forth and temporary passwords issued, and unsucessful. Contacted again and was told there was a glitch that was preventing my login. Perseverance paid off and I finally logged in again, and success! MyHeritage Help (technical and admin) was difficult to contact as I kept getting a message help was for paying customers... I was one... In the end, I guess I needed the break from genealogy and I was able to get into my trees yesterday. The final account help reps I ended up dealing with were wonderful and did everything they could to get me back on line. All is working well now.

I am disgusted of my heritage. Probably I will never use it again, because I abhor it. All bad what they write is true! BEWARE!
Like many others I am victim of 14 day trial. On 14 day I was charged with 146 $. I am from poor country and it was one third of my salary. If I had not have savings from weeding I would not have money for basic needs - also for food and I would be forced to beg for help to not die of starvation.
On 15 day I phoned them to refund my money. I wanted only free trial. In their regulation is written that it is 30 day refund. On the phone they said that this doesnt apply to free trial despite nothing like this is wrritten in regulations. This is unfair, very unfair. They even not honour their regularions.
They said that they could refund me 50% price + full VAT (26$) so: 86$. I have agreed because I have no choice. Week later they send me 73$, not 86$. So they even honour their words and promises. I am deeply disappointed and also disgusted of this dishonourable behaviour.

My father Fiszel was The Longest Recorded Survivor of The Holocaust in The World having taken his father's place on The Transport List in! 940! I was on BBC1 talking about him & the demise of his Family.My mum's parents came over from Poland to escape The Pogroms & my eldest Aunt was born in London in 1914!
