Eindelijk een website die overzichtelijk is die gebruiksvriendelijk is en mijn complimenten voor het helpteam het werkt vlug en komt met goede oplossingen.(Geeft waar voor je geld).

Finally a website that clearly is that easy to use and my compliments for the help team it works fast and comes with good solutions. (Gives value for money).

I called to the Dutch contact center for the question how long the DNA sets are usable for consumption before they are over date. I could nowhere find it on the website from the DNA kit promotion and FQA's.
It is a toll free call number if you want to contact Myheritage. That's good. What not good is is that you have to go through min 4 or 5 choose menu's before you get to hear that nobody from the Dutch speaking contact persons are available and you are getting connected to Englisch speaking person, I do not know from where in the world this person answered. Again 2 choice menu's before somebody takes over the phone. That is not nice and strange for somebody who is not familiar with the Englisch language. It will scare the person etc... Maybe he can also stop the phonecall.
Next step, person answer the my phone call. Person was very polite and friendly. I asked my question and I received a very clear answer. Very good!
That's my experiance during my order for a set from the DNA test.

PS.: I tried to upload a picture but the size was too small I get red message on top of this website when I did the upload. I took a snagit from my order email and saved that as Jpeg. If this is not allowed sorry than, I do no more work to upload something.

As I read these reviews, I realize I should have read them prior to any service. First, all I ever got was 3rd to 5th distant cousins.
Second, and most importantly, they are nothing but scamming thieves.
I emailed and got a response when they charged my account 300.00 without permission. It overdrafted my account causing more fees. The card they charged was a new card. Not sure how they did it. I'm a single parent/foster parent for special needs and medically fragile kids. I'm also disabled. Everything they do is sneaky and full of loop holes. When I spoke to someone I could not understand, he tried to be all nice and offer me more subscription time. Then, a 25.00 gift card. Then, 100.00 refund. When I demand a full refund and cancelation, he got quite nasty. He kept going up in small increments... pretending to talk to a supervisor...
I demand to speak to the "supervisor ". He pretended to transfer me. It was still him. I told him I was recording the conversation and had all my records canceling what they were charging me for. He got really nasty. He said I would have a full refund in 7 to 10 business days and literally dismissed me!

After a time the My Heritage solved my problem. It is easyer to get starting in MyHeritage. But my problem is solved now and I am glad to get on my familytree. Danks. James and Brien.

I appreciate your feedback as we are always looking to better our research experience for the millions of our members.

In regards to your feedback, I can't find any evidence of how DNA testing is flawed because of the increase of DNA testing. On the contrary, because of a large amount of comparable DNA available nowadays, great advancements have been made in the past years, and there will be much more to discover.

Indeed, slavery was abolished in the Bahamas in 1834 and given the history of what African Americans have gone through, especially where many of the traditional methods of genealogy research for African Americans have been complicated by the history of slavery, missing records and names being changed. Also, not to mention, many people were trafficked across state lines and stories were simply not passed down because they were too traumatic. Because of this, DNA research does offer a way to circumvent these obstacles by measuring and comparing ones genetic makeup to trace roots and find more insight into one's family history to ultimately indicate matching DNA and lineage to specific tribes in Africa. Along with the Ethnicity Estimate we provide, we also offer tools such as ancestral surnames, comparing trees and measuring ones shared DNA that has also been very valuable in tracing family history.

I can assure you that MyHeritage is on top of this and we will continue to work on improving our research tools for African Americans along with developing better tools based on your feedback, new scientific research, and discoveries.

Don't Use Them - Customer Service is Non-existent

They do not have a customer service phone number. When you email them at their support email on their website, they do not respond. I have sent 3 emails so far. They renewed my gift webinar subscription without my approval and without any pre-notification.
A truly horrible company to deal with.
