My kit was sent by confirmed mail. I got the information that they received it on the 8th of February. Yet it only appeared received on 22nd Feb in their website.
Meanwhile I was worried that my DNA kit was lost I email the customer support on the 22nd of february. But no one replied until today 14th March. Almost a month later to tell me the package was received.

They say procedure takes 3 to 4 weeks. Yet last week a month passed and results are not out yet.

Nothing Tra so aren't about this service. I wonder if the DNA info will come out real or also they would lie about it the way they lied about not receiving the Package.

I cannot get a real person to communicate with my questions - or a good response. READ PLEASE- MY FULL FAMILY NAMES, GRANDMOTHERS MAIDEN NAME, GRANDFATHERS NAME, KIDS NAMES, EX HUSBANDS INFORMATION ETC. now comes up when I go to put information such as name - last name - on submitting a credit card for online purchases. This can only come from my account with my heritage (they do not respond to this situation). My information is not private. Are there any recommendations on how to deal with this?

I recently received my DNA results and began to initiate a family tree. After spending numerous hours imputing names, pictures and information, I realized that I was on the wrong account one that was not a prime membership. All the information was imputed in an account that I had started five years earlier, when I began a Heritage family tree project and quickly abandoned it. I called customer service for site assistance. A wonderful, knowledgeable, patient representative, spent a great deal of time fixing my mistake. Olivia R. Thank you for your help.

This site peaked my interest after hearing so many stories from people who used this site and discovered a lot about their origins and unknown family relations/ relatives. It is easy to navigate around and offers a lot of services like DNA testing. Highly recommend!

We were informed that my mothers test had reached the lab but have not had any results sent to us and this was serval months ago. We have tried to contact my Heritage to inform them that we are still waiting but it is impossible to get through to them, no way of contacting them at all. We have had several of my friends trying to find a way of contacting them but zero, zip diddly no way of contacting them to inform them of the missing results, Shocking! We accept that things go wrong sometimes but not to have anyway of contacting a company that was happy to take our money is dreadful. Hoping they will see this and contact us. I can't upload an image as I don't know how to shrink it so once again scuppered! Our activation code was MHT776Y7 lets see if they can be bothered to message

I purchased a DNA kit as a birthday present for a friend, unbeknown to me, I was automatically enrolled into one month's free trail. The first email I received from MyH, apart from the conformation of the DNA purchase, was when the free trial ended and the same day they took £114 annual fee from my paypal account.

The free trial had never been accessed, and therefore I thought this error could be rectified. I was told by MyH that the DNA kit was reduced to £43 when registering for the free trial. I explained that I was unaware of this, that I had no use for the service of their website. They were uninterested in this explanation and did not give me a refund. They did, however, credit my paypal account with £40 and told me that I would be able to access their website for the next year. I feel that I have been somewhat duped into this annual fee, something I do not want and will not use and something I feel a genuine company would not do…

I have been using the My Heritage genealogy site for many years, recording my family's ancestry. My Father-in-Law started decades ago using the old-fashioned methods of visiting people and find documents. He managed to draw up a number of family pedigree charts which made my life a lot easier when I started using their very easy system of data entry. On a few occasions I have called upon the support services of My Heritage to help with an issue or make a suggestion, and have been most impressed how they have responded in a very friendly and efficient manner, ensuring I fully understood their instructions and comments.

I was very happy to learn how to put back black ribbon to profile cards of deceased persons' pictures. I tried everything and searched everywhere but it was Claudia P. Of Support team who let me know that I have to tick Show black ribbons under Settings. So simple but if you do not know it it can be a nightmare. And I grade her 10 out of 10 possible points.

Terrible experience. I went a day over the trial period and was charged £115 (laughably, a 'discount'). Customer service are nonexistent. Disgusting. Customer id *******226.

Tip for consumers:
They need to make their mercenary pricing policy public, or change it.

For the last year I have had a fully paid subscription with My Heritage and today I had to call and let them know that because of financial reasons I could no longer continue my subscription. They were lovely about it and told me what I could still do. Everything I have on my tree will still be accessible, I just can't add anything new. That is great.

Dreadful website. Tyring to track overdue DNA kit sent weeks ago. No way of tracking on the website having logged in to my account (although their info says to click on a tab under DNA: "manage my DNA kit" but this tab does not exis). Tried phoning several times...tried "hgelp" centre. This company is ONLY interested in trying to sell add ons...expensive add ons...to pay more money on top of waht I am beginning to suspect is a SCAM! Am advising friends and family to were considering dong the same DNA test NOT to bother with this company.

This company hides a subscription behind the purchase of your kit. They don't tell you about the subscription anywhere until you get charge after the classic 'first month free trial'. Then it's 114£ suddenly out of your pocket with no warning. Stay away from this scam.

Have tried on numerous occasions to contact this company and no one replies back.
Be very careful with this company as I got charged for something I did not order or authorise and they have failed to respond to me. I called and got no answer and have emailed a complaint and was given a case number but nothing has happened since then. This was middle of February and still no reply.
I was charged over £50 for something I did not order and it wasn't even in my name as I've never been on this site.
Coning, Robbing and untrustworthy.

Unfortunately I forgot to cancel my membership after the trial period so went on to be charged. This was completely my fault but I'm not in a financial position to be able to afford this at the moment.
I contacted customer services who not only offered me a full refund immediately but gave me a year's basic membership free. Fantastic service, helpful yet professional.
I will certainly renew my full membership when I'm in a better financial position.
The layout for the family tree, the ease of researching and the availability of data on offer is excellent.
A great company overall.

This is a full functioned application. I've found many people in my family that I didn't know existed. After a month or so, just a few speed bumps. Support was slow for one of my problems, but once they responded, they followed up. Too bad you have to pay extra to do real, in depth searches. And beyond MyHeritage's control, contacting other site managers means wait who knows how long for a response.

They have in there site, if you don't like it you can cancel. Well I tried and they are only giving me $29.95 back out of $119.40. I had a 2 week trial plus one day. NO will not refund my money. Just be warned!

I had to call Heritage about an error in my billing. I was put in contact with a lovely young lady in County Cork, Ireland. Might add that this is where my Family history starts. She resolved the issue quit readily and all is good again. Even exchanged a little Irish knowledge while we were doing business. Excellent experience.

I had a question concerning my parents' DNA results. The company explained to me that sometimes aol does not accept myheritage emails. However, Pauline from Ireland could not have been friendlier or more helpful. She was able to switch over the email addresses easily. I would definitely rate their customer service excellent!
