I received help when i was not able to add relatives to my ancestors family. There were cousin marriages and it was only showing my direct line ancestors in the tree. I had several of my cousins take DNA tests. The only way to show how my cousins are related is to add the siblings of my ancestors in the tree.

I recently had the need to contact My Heritage to resolve issues I had in syncing with my site on the internet. Scratching my aged head trying to resolve it myself, I finally resorted to ringing for help and to my surprise this lovely Finnish voice answered and guided me through until all was fixed successfully. Many thanks Eve... go get a pay rise!

So many research program ar good. But Myheritage have an advance. They are so easy to call then you need help with your research and you really need that feedback to be succesful in your research. They are always friendly and helpful.

I have enjoyed this sight to excess, growing research to find my origins. I also have two other companies I use but this I can even work without the internet connection. I have library connection and being able to continue working without connection is a blessing.

After not receiving any information regarding my DNA test, I tried to login in to MyHeritage.com... it stated that it could not find my email address. Therefore, I could not contact them online, had to call them. When I called, the wait time was reasonable and when the sales agent spoke with me, we discovered that there was an error with my email address. He corrected that and sent me an email stating my email was corrected. However, I still could not get to the result link. As a result of myn review, Rafael left me a message and the link for my results. I am totally, 100% satisfied and happy with the way they handle this. Thank you so very much for the excellent follow up and results. One happy customer.

I have been a member of My Heritage for a few years and I have enjoyed it. It is easy to use and the support is always helpful. The smart matches have helped me add info to my family tree. The family charts are really great. I would recommend My Heritage to family and friends.

The premium-account was automatically continued for another year, which was problematic for me. I asked for a refund and an end to the subscription. Although I was late (forgot to end the subscription) they gave me the whole money back. I am very happy about this kind behavior.

For Christmas I bought a KIT for my son, sent back my kit 2 months ago and it is impossible to be in contact with this company. The only way is the phone and they never answer this is totally unacceptable. I manage to have them once on the phone but they have done nothing. They took my money but they are not able to provide the service I paid for. Stay away from them they are not honest

Your DNA kit tracking is indeed something to be concerned about and therefore I will do my best to help.

That said, I do know that there has been a slight delay in receiving kits that were sent to our lab around the holidays within the 2-month time frame because of the amount of traffic. We are certainly aware of this and are working to resolve this as soon as possible. Each kit that is sent to us is processed carefully to ensure our DNA community gets the most accurate results.

Issues such as yours are extremely important to us. In the case I am unable to track your kit, I can send you a replacement without question.

In order to help, I need to verify your MyHeritage registered account. I have not found any registered account under your name you publish here on site jabber.

I had problems with my databases in FTB, where addresses and notes multiplied completely uncontrolled. It was eventually impossible to work on the projects. I received invaluable support from MyHeritage by sending the databases to them. It was cleaned up and I was sent back databases without errors. Now it seems to work normally again. Thank you.

Before I subscribed to this service, I was under the impression it was a monthly subscription, so having signed-up I was quite surprised to find an annual fee deducted from my credit card. Also prior to making a commitment, I verified what would happen following the end of the first year to all the research and data and was assured it would still be available to me BUT was advised it could've be modified. Having swallowed the pill on the annual fee I spent hundreds of hours building my family tree only to find out was all a complete waste of time because I can't access the site without paying another annual fee - like that's going to happen - a fool and his money are easily parted

MyHeritage family sites are indeed based on subscriptions. While we do offer free tools such as the Family Tree Builder program and a basic online membership, some research tools do require a membership fee. If your membership ends you may still edit your tree on the offline family tree builder program. You may also choose to downgrade to a free basic membership.

Granted that many of our paid members do benefit from the research tools a paid membership may provide such as smart matches that will automatically compare your tree with the millions of other trees published online as new information is uploaded each day.
Also, Our data collections include over 6 billion historical records and are constantly expanding, but it is possible that the information you are looking for is not yet listed in our records. This is why we provide a free trial period and a money back guarantee for users to try out our collections.

It is also important to know that any member can unsubscribe from a member's annual fee by logging in, clicking on site manager's name in the right upper corner of the family site page, and selecting ‘My Purchases’. Furthermore, our terms and conditions clearly read that "If you are not satisfied with your purchased plan you may request a full refund by contacting Customer Support within thirty (30) days of the initial purchase date of the subscription".

You mentioned that you feel as if you have "swallowed a pill" and I would like to ensure that you do not feel this way and get the membership that fits your research needs and budget along with the help you need to successfully research your family roots.

I tried to cancel my orders, I contacted them the minute I purchased it but it seems like an impossible thing to do. I have to deal with chatbots, auto reply and get so frustrated. It seems like they want to take your money on purpose and have no intention to support you at all. Very scammy.

Please do your research. They’re very sketchy and unsupportive

I've used My Heritage to create my family tree for both my family and also my wife's family. I find the application easy to navigate and very easy to create family trees. Over the last year, I have reviewed other family tree applications and I have come to the conclusion that the My Heritage applications is, in my opinion the best in terms of ease of use, presentation and the iPad version makes it highly mobile. I am also very impressed with the response when I contacted the support team for assistance. My issues were resolved within 24 hours.

If you think you can do research on myheritage with a premium membership, think again, you can't even look at other myheritage records in research, it is ridiculous that you have to also purchase a data subscription, what a waste, what a big cost, what a fail of communication! Very very frustrating, beware of trying to get a refund!

Indeed, MyHeritage is based on subscriptions. Mainly because It is not possible for us to stay consistent and offer so many record collections along with state of the art research tools without hiring a team to support our products. As you may know, many services in general, are subject to a membership charge, including the genealogy research market because it expands as more historical data is uploaded from MyHeritage partners that require royalties on its use by customers.

Nonetheless, we offer an assembly of separate subscriptions that will fit your research and budget including a free basic membership and a free downloadable Family Tree Builder program. Also, some records in SuperSearch are free (e.g. BillionGraves, Social Security Death Index, family search). Some of our members will purchase a complete subscription that offers all research tools but many of our users prefer to only pay for some features as they don't really use the entire array of tools we offer.

I was away when I learned my account had been automatically renewed for another year. I called as soon as I got home and was assisted by customer service representative Breck.

Breck was easy to talk to, listened to my concerns and within a few moments had given me the help I needed/called for. My account is now renewed for the year at a reasonable rate and the auto renewal option was removed.

Breck also gave me a detailed and very easy to grasp explanation on how their DNA matching system works, which applies to the other sites I use, as well.

All in all, I am a very satisfied customer.

I called as I had an unauthorised charge on my account. I called my heritage and the guy was so helpful, polite and more than happy to resolve my issue. The issue was resolved within 10 minutes and I am super amazed at how awesome this site and their customer service is. I would recommend this site to e everyone.

Unfortunately I can't leave less than 1 star. I signed up for two week free trial and before my two weeks was up, before I had a chance to opt out, they took away my choice and billed me for a year. 139.00
I see other similar reviews here. I wish I had seen them first. Pay pal says I have to let them keep the money.Its definitely money wasted because I canceled my account with these awful, deceptive people. I certainly wasn't told I would be billed for a year, and wasn't told it was 139.00.

I have been tracing my family history for more than 40 years and in that time have seen many software programs and web sites. Using the My Family software package in association with My Heritage has, in my opinion, been the best thing that has happened in terms of Genealogy. The back up support has been magnificent and I would highly recommend the program to any other professional or amateur Genealogists. Doug Hooper

I had My Heritage do a DNA test which came up with results absolutely different than the tem years of research I had on my family. So just to be sure I had 3 other companies test my DNA and guess what all three companies showed almost exactly what the paper trail of ten years work did. So this company obviously has issues in their testing procedures. The sad thing is I paid for tests for my wife and myself, now I have to choose a new company to test her again. Save your money and stay away from My Heritage DNA.

I regret to find your raw DNA results are not comparing with your research or other DNA tests that you have taken with other DNA kit providers.

It is true to consider that bio-geographical estimates are complicated. Different researchers analyzing the same DNA of a person can come up with different estimates based on a number of different factors, including the reference populations used for comparison, the algorithm, the chemical processing and many more factors. Therefore these elements are consistently being improved in the DNA researching community as a whole and it is certainly our highest priority here at MyHeritage.

Moreover, while some companies provide many more regions to compare your DNA with, MyHeritage compares your DNA to a lot more ethnic populations. We find this most important for various reasons such as the fact that populations in countries have moved around while official borders and communities were at times occupied throughout history. It is also certainly found that DNA tends to be very similar between people in neighboring countries, such as North Western Europe and England, where there isn't sufficient statistical difference, our ethnicity estimate is retained on a higher regional level.

MyHeritage has proudly referenced 42 ethnic populations to compare your DNA with and this number will be growing even larger in the future as we are constantly working on adding to our reference populations. (ongoing "MyHeritage Founder Population Project")

All in all, what is most important to us is your overall satisfaction because we use all feedback to better the genealogy experience for the millions of our members. We want all of our members to have the most solid results.

I have used My heritage for a couple of years and I really like the way it works with all the matches even if a lot of them are irrelevant. Lately I had a problem with dissappering notes but I got immediate and correct help from the support. The only thing I miss is that it is not available for Mac.
