I had coupled my Heritage with another program that was recommended, it didn't work out well and I deleted my tree. When I went back in to use only My Heritage tree it had all kinds of problems. I had managed to delete one data base and found another on my computer so I used it. It also had problems from duplicate records and detached people. I made it through most of it, but had to call and have this lovely young lady walk me through some things. I would tell everyone to use this program. The program is great and the service is better.

I strongly advise everyone thinking about using My Heritage to reconsider. I sent in my DNA samples, after paying $81, with shipping. At 7 weeks, after I sent it back, I emailed to see where my results were. After receiving no reply, I emailed again. No one returned my email until the 8 week mark when they informed me that they were sending me another DNA test kit, at "no additional charge." THEY LOST MY DNA!" At this point, 11 weeks after I initially emailed them, no one has returned my message to explain where my sample is or to attempt to return my money. This is a scam to steal your hard earned money. Who knows where my DNA sample could end up! I will be contacting my attorney first thing Monday morning!

Had to wait 30 minutes on telephone for customer service. Activation code number included on packaging was invalid. Calling customer service was a was of time. They had to refer this problem to a "DNA Specialist." Still no resolution. Don't use this service!

I experienced a problem with a charge to my account, so I contacted customer service. My concerns were investigated promptly and courteously. The resolution of the investigation was forthcoming and the charge was dealt with properly. All the while, the professional manner with which I was treated was exemplary and much appreciated. Matt was my contact person, and I think he deserves all the praise for being a fine representative for MyHeritage.
Tip for consumers:
Be sure not to inadvertantly sign up for a subscription to anyone else's family tree website and save yourself the trouble of having to contact customer support to get the charge refunded. Even though I was dealt with professionally and fairly, it was a mistake that shouldn't have happened, in my opinion. Still not even sure how it happened. In any case, MyHeritage made it right.

I have contacted My Heritage due to problems with my parcel delivery and they have been really helpful from the start and trying to do the best from their perspective even though it's a problem with the delivery company.

Don't provide your credit card information to this company - they will charge your card and extend your membership without asking. If you phone and complain and ask then to stop the subscription after the charge has been made they will only refund 1/2 the charge.

I had ordered two DNA kits, one for myself and one for my wife. My kit had arrived about a week ago but I had not received my wife's kit. I called to see if there was a problem. A very nice lady answered my call and immediately researched my order. She found that it was to be delivered on the day I called, and it was. I also was curious as to why my mother's side of my family had grown very quickly and my father's side had not. She allowed me to use a research tool that provided quick information and I was able to grow my father's family easily and quickly. What wonderful service. Friendly and able to handle my questions accurately and completely. Thank you My Heritage for such service.

I contacted MyHeritage customer support for help transferring my husband's DNA report. We had sent for DNA reports and he did not have a MyHeritage acct. Until yesterday, so his report came to my acct. Nicole, a very nice English lady, helped me and in no time at all, my problem was solved. Thank You, Nicole.

I did not register on the site to send the DNA test kits from the MyHeritage site, I do not know what happened that came out with the wrong number, and I was sure I had registered it right. It turned out that the product was sent to the wrong house, where I was not found and the deliverers immediately sent it back to the place of origin, without even trying to contact by phone with the recipient. When I saw that the product was sent back to the US I panicked because I live in Brazil. Thankfully the Myheritage staff are super helpful and have already sent another kit. I have not received the tracking code yet, but they said they will send it by email soon. This time I will follow up every day so I do not have an error. I can not wait to get the kits and take the test. I hope this time you get home right here.

I sent my dna sample just 4 weeks ago, and nothing has happened. They even havent got my package. My friend from Finland sent his package at the same moment and he got about 2-3 weeks ago announcement that package has arrived and is going to lab. I called about my worry of my sample, but service person just said that just wait. I dont believe - just wait comment. They had lost somehow my sample. This is poooooorr service and especially attitude.

I'm sorry to read your low star review but I do sympathize with your wait time.
Your tracking is indeed something to be concerned about and therefore I will do my best to help.
That said, I would recommend waiting another week or so because unfortunately, there has been a slight delay in receiving kits that were sent to our lab in January and in some cases February because of the traffic during the previous holiday season.
That said, Each kit that is sent to us is processed carefully to ensure our DNA community gets the most accurate results.
In any case, I would like to offer you personal assistance with tracking your kit.

In 2016, I received my free DNA kit and shipped to the Philippines but unfortunately, misplaced it. Now I found the DNA kit, and emailed Myheritage if I could still use it. But to my surprise, they reply to me that they will replace a new DNA kit instead, and it is on the way. Im so happy with their customer service. Im so satisfied. Thank you for your excellent service.

They charged me after my free subscription had run out, dispite the fact i just forked out over £120 quid on a premium package, before my trial had finished. I am still waiting on a email back, they also only seem to have one phone number which is really hard to find and even harder to get through to a real person. I expect i will get a responce after my 30 money back guarantee is up.

I had difficulty uploading a photograph to MyHeritage website for my family tree. With the assistance of Mikael, he found and corrected the problem I was having and told me how to work with any future problems uploading large photo files. This is a great website for Ancestry research and Family Tree Building & documentation.

Hi. I registered for membership with MyHeritage on 10-20-18, and I spoke to Daniel, I believe. I am fairly unsure about doing a lot of things on a computer. I tried unsuccessfully to register on my own and couldn't do it. I got Daniel again, and he was extremely patient and helpful with me. I had a lot of problems accessing the screens that are needed to register, but Daniel displayed a lot of calmness and patience with me. What should have taken a few minutes to complete took me 46 minutes, but he stayed with me throughout. Finally, I got registered and ordered a DNA test. My Myheritage account has been charged for an upgraded account, however no upgrade has been provided. Myheritage (#*******) have verified that:
- I have been charged R1,699.99 (Proof of payment - bank statement sent)
- I have not been provided with any upgrade - they have checked my account on their side.
If this is an issue between My Heritage and Apple, the consumer should not be the victim.
Myheritage have been helpful until the point of a refund, at which point they tell me to go back to Apple. Apple provide the APP, Myheritage provide the service and the 'upgrade' which i have not received. Apple will not refund.
My Heritage provides an app/service to Apple which I have purchased. As the consumer, I have not received this service and therefore am entitled to a refund.

Hi fellow genealogists!
I have been using "My Heritage" for the last four years.
Since the moment I realized that if I would't start constructing a family tree a. S.a. P. valuable family history would be lost for ever, there would be nobody around who could identify people in photographs; in short the past lives of my ancestors would be as if they never lived.
I tried various programs and decided to take out a basic subscription with "My Heritage". I have never regretted it and I soon found that the basic program wasn't enough and I upgraded.
I have found new family I never knew I had and my contacts with a larger circle of family are a lot stronger than ever.
