All I wanted to know is how to change the email address to which the news letters are sent NOT change my accounts overall address... somehow in the past my registered email address became unlinked to the email to which my MyHeritage news letters were sent to and I just wanted to make sure they continued going to my new email address as I'm changing my IP soon and that email address will no longer exist. PS if as below my last name is private why can it not REALY be private why do I have to enter it?

Due to a recent power wash, I lost all of my current passwords. In addition, I had changed my sign in from the original setup. I was able to get back into myheritage account because of the help I received from customer service.

Far too many on recommendations from you. Over 1000 don't know where to start to fix them. Family tree builder doesn't work and you guys couldn't fix it. I'm not a happy camper

I have been a customer of MyHeritage for over 2 years. In a number of cases where I was researching a name ~ say Joe Bloggs, the search returned 6 Joe Bloggs names.
However when I checked through the various names Joe Bloggs, I found that actually there was duplication and triplication, in that the 6 returns related to 2 Joe Bloggs ~ and not 6.
It would be easier if records were merged, which would make them easier to research and be more accurate.
Similarly if searching for a Mary Soap, and an approximate birth date of 1890 is given ~ little point in seeing details of a Mary Soap,born 1630.
While the service is very good, if alot of the duplication, triplication,and quadruplication was merged, it would in my humble opinion be more helpful to MyHeritage customers.

Without MyHeritage's SmartMatches and RecordMatches functions, creating a family tree would not have been easy. These functions make it possible to find matches for people in the family tree, and adding ancestors and relatives to the tree is fast.

Taking the test is a simple proceedure. My daughter, 2 grand daughters and a nephew of my late husband have also taken the " My Heritage " DNA test. Awaiting some results with great interest.

My Mother was adopted and we had no information on her birth mother etc. After the test I found a second cousin and through this contact I found my maternal grandmother. When I examined further DNA
Hits I found my mothers father. I now have 2nd 3rd 4th cousins in 7 countrys all over the world that I didnt know about. On my paternal and maternal side I have mostly finished my tree but I will keep researching. I find that MyHeritage is a very easy site to use.
The only gripe I have ( which seems to be common to all sites) is the drisciption of my Grandfathers
Brother as my Greatuncle which to me is not logical Surly if this is right my Grandfather should be my
Greatfather.
I have used MyHeritage for the last 3 years and will continue to do so.

MyHeritage is a great way to work as a genealogist on your family tree. It offers very efficient tools like access to many databases for your research, although a word of caution is appropriate here: do not fall into the trap of growing your tree with incredible speed, adding SmartMatches blindly or too lightly and always check the data at least against one other (primary) source. You might have to spend many hours of repairing profiles and/or connections. So just work on your tree as conscientiously as possible.
Anyway, MyHeritage is a fantastic tool which will keep you busy (or "hooked") every day for some minutes or even hours, once "infected".
A very important asset to working with MyHeritage is the Family Tree Builder (FTB), which one uses offline on the pc. As it synchronizes your genealogical data with your web tree on MyHeritage it is a great way of keeping your valuable data safe. And, FTB offers a great functionality to research data for a specific profile in great detail. Also, the export/import option (GEDCOM), both for your family website and FTB is quite helpful.
After some time and becoming more and more familiar with all the powerful options and the full functionality, MyHeritage and FTB have become essential and indispensable to me.
