You might be better off with a company that does not lie about delivery. I waited in at the delivery address for hours only to be told that I was not available, "not in" at the delivery address! This was a blatant lie.
They claimed they delivered my parcel and sent a photo of it on someone else's doorstep. When I went to the local sub depot the manager at first gave me a garbage excuse until I showed him the picture then he got very rude and shut the door in my face and walked away telling me it wasn't his concern and to contact customer service. I tracked down the house where they took the picture from (which was directly across the street from me) and the lady explained to me that the driver delivered her two parcels (which she showed me) and then put another parcel down and photographed it and then put the parcel in his vehicle. When I showed her the picture she immediately identified it as the parcel she seen. He used her as delivery as a cover for stealing mine so that his GPS could show he was indeed in the right area for my delivery also.
AVOID these crooks at all cost. Pay extra and use the Royal Mail. Trust me, You'll be happy you did.
My parcel was delivered to an address on the wrong road.
Road signs in the area are very clear, the post code of the place where it was left is not the same as mine. Satnavs do not have any trouble finding my house using the post code or road name.
I had to walk round the estate comparing the photo to find my parcel.
I was in there depot on a friday 2/12/23 was told the goods was on route to my address, At 1600 hrs Checked on tracker (quote) We've not been able to deliver today due to bad weather in the area (unquote).
If they call sun shinning bad weather god help us if it rains,

Sent a parcel via hermes tracking and they immediately lost it. Its been 10 days since I sent it and the tracking says its still on its way to the depot. This was an ebay sale so it don't look good for me

Unbelievable... again tried to arrange collection/delivery of three parcels. Expected collection 5 days ago... have phoned their automated phone line everyday & told "your parcel will be collected today"
Today... Hermes courier driver was delivering to us & offered to take the parcels... She couldn't as her little machine, despite scanning our labels successfully, would not progress any further, so she was forced to leave them with us. We actually felt embarrassed for her!
This isn't the first time a similar incident has happened with Hermes... but definitely our last.
We've rebooked with an alternative courier, as reliability is now paramount.
Thieves and non existent customer service. 2 grands worth of full tower pc stolen by staff in their Airdrie Depot. Although they state it as "lost"! Bit ridiculous trying to claim a box of this size would be lost expecially with components in it harder to get than a ps5! No way to contact human help just ai that has you going round in circles. One apologetic phone call eventually received by a Beverley Cooper Hermes Executive Office who pretended to be on the case and would be in touch asap! That was last contact from her! Recommend you Google this company as they seem to have quite the reputation for no customer care and stealing parcels!
This is the worst delivery service I have ever used and I won't be using them again. I sent several parcels over a couple of days and every single parcel was at least 8 days late, one parcel still hasn't been delivered and is 18 days late. The automated assistant is a complete waste of time, the phone number is automated and therefore is also a complete waste of time, there is no email to contact anyone about issues, I don't know how this company can get away with operating a business this way, the customer has to have a way of speaking to a human being when they have an issue. I think an ombudsman needs to investigate this disgraceful company and force them to change the way they operate.
I ordered a parcel delivery on 22/11, parcel 25/11 has arrived to national sorting hub and it's a second week there, I asked several times on live chat why and what is happening, every time i get a different information - it's a glitch and the parcel is on its way or that I will get an email and update, a different a crap excuse each time! I definitely do not recommend it! Fully tracked service - this is a joke.
This service is rubbish. Do yourself a favour and don't use them. They have nicked my iPhone 7 Plus now they trying To avoid The payment, I have set value of parcel 150£ this for some reason was changed to 50£ and even I have no option to choose the cover they said it was 20£ selected by myself. Now for iPhone 7 Plus they want to refund me 20£.

Ordered from an online retailer just over a week ago. They unfortunately use MyHermes. They apparently tried to deliver my parcel 3 times. All of which i was in for, non of which actually happened. After the 3rd "attempt" i contacted them only to be told to contact the retailer. After deciding to give them 1 more chance I asked my retailer to add a note saying to deliver to any shop on my street. They decided to throw in "delay due to address query" why after 3 attempts did they decide this one, more like the driver couldn't be bothered to find my house. I've never been so unimpressed with a company in all my life, ridiculous isn't the word
My parcel was left in my porch which hasn't got a door on it and it could have been stolen. As we were away for the weekend we had to phone a friend up to collect the parcel from my porch before it was stolen. Very disappointed with the service
Went online to send a parcel, easy enough to do, problem is they don't come and pick your parcel up. Should have been picked up yesterday, nothing, waited in all day and couldn't do errands I needed to. They never picked the parcel up and I received no communication. Tried calling them, surprise surprise the lines are very busy. Tried all day again today, eventually got through to be told my pick up has been re-scheduled but can't tell me when it will be picked up. The person who answered said they could contact the depot manager but that it could take him up to 24 hrs to respond. Wouldn't use Hermes again, too unreliable and they have no communication with their customers. Royal Mail do a far better job, will stick with them from now on! You have a lot of work to do Hermes to get up to scratch.

I only could speak to a recorded message, I haven't got the parcel and it was said to be signed for and pushed through the letterbox, why if it was signed for did they not hand it to the person. Obviously it was pushed through the wrong letterbox and the driver signed it himself. I have had experience of the driver signing a hermes parcel when I was at the door and he told me not to bother.
Posted a parcel containing jewellery on the 11th of nov parcel did not arrive at buyer it was showing on tracking as at customer local depot but did not move for days, no humans to speak to only auto messages so left my complaint got back to me a week later to say they Assume its lost... I put a review on about them and all of a sudden the parcel has moved back to the national sorting hub yeah I don't understand it either However it has not moved from there so not sure if its lost, or not and cannot get any money back till they decide! So no parcel, no money, no apology, nosupport, and never using this company again do not use them they don't care there is no customer service at all how they still get to operate I will never know

One star is too good for the service we have received. We sent an item that we sold on eBay through Hermes only to be told they couldn't deliver it, yet the recipient was in all day!. Despite leaving messages on their automated that promised a call back (Ha! Ha!) no-one has called. It is impossible to speak to a person, the complaint line just cuts off, and their head office number simply says that they are closed. What sort of company is Martian De Lange running? Every message on their website says they are dedicated to customer service. Well they have failed dismally in this case. All we want is to speak to a human being, but clearly this isn't possible.
What a shower of s**t sorry your not in between 6 and 9 pm every night for two months we will try again tomorrow after two months we have delivered you parcel in safe place at 8.30pm. No you did not I've got CCTV around my house and ring door bell no one has been near my house you lying sack of s**ts oh and your delivery picture is just a black square. Using webchat is just an endless loop - log on and watch it they deal with eight calls a minute until it is yur turn at which time you see why because you are cut off and the cycle starts again
Answer: Because MyHermes are the worst company out there for deliveries. They can't take calls, as they'd be overwhelmed.
