I'm signing the petition on the Parliament website, https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/*******, asking the Government to establish a regulatory body and ombudsman to oversee the UK courier industry and resolve disputes if you are fed up with the attrocious service provided by some parcel delivery businesses. The regulation of the courier industry, much in the way Royal Mail is regulated, was recommended in the Citizens Advice damning report, 'Sorry We Missed You', on the industry. MPs will have to debate the issue if more than 100,000 people sign. I'm doing this because I have had an appalling experience with Hermes for the past year since my regular delivery driver had to resign and Hermes has often struggled to find anyone at all to deliver and collect parcels. I've had parcels delayed by over a week, nearly two weeks (with the box squashed and battered as if it had been at the bottom of a pile of delayed parcels) on one occasion. Hermes' customer services is as good as useless and the only way of contacting a real person competent to deal with your problem seems to be to contact the CEO's office.
They say: 'When the going gets tough, the tough get going! When things go wrong with Hermes you cannot see them for dust!
Parcels do get lost, but when you cannot speak with a representative and the automated answering programs just take you round in circles you can only feel you have been conned. NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I USE HERMES
PS I have used Hermes for the last few years, sometimes there were issues, but you could speak with someone to resolve them. Never have I had a problem like this. They have seriously dropped the ball, or are so arrogant they couldn't care less!

THIS IS A terrible company they accept payment for your delivery yet your delivery never reaches its destination and if you try to contact them its an automated system or £6.00 per min for a phone call.

Honestly if you are concidering sending a parcel via hermes your would be better to the just throw it in the general direction of th e recipient address. I prommise it will have more chance of reaching its destination, it will probably be in better condition when it arives too and you save a few quid.
This is sound advice, however if you are conceidering sending overseas with hermes take the time to build a small raft, then sucure your parcel to the raft and float it off at your nearest beach.

The parcel was dropped in the shop and never moved from there.
After 2 weeks I open the case and they took 4 weeks to tell me that it was lost.

Hermes seems in my experience to blame costumer for not delivering parcels - we tried and you were out. When in fact they never tried.
Parcel hasn't been delivered even though it says it was meant to arrive before 15:30. The hermes track my parcel isn't updating and showing where my parcel is
Sent a phone with them brokered via Parcel 2 Go and their driver stole a phone. It took me two months to discover the loss. I had to chase them to discover it was even missing.
Automated and cut off. Useless, opt to speak to someone and after two rings the phone goes dead. Twice now, inpossible to talk to anyone about a lost parcel. Last time of using the shysters.
Nobody came to pick up my parcell. Your couriers are not trusted. NOBODY is helping with the parcell I need to return.
Hermes lost my parcel, refunded less than half the value after 2 months of phone calls, customer services rude, girl actually belched, laughed, hung up. Absolutely dreadful.

Paid for 24 hrs delivery. 72 hrs gone...
It was received at the centre on 6th October, 2021. Today is 9th October, 2021.
No updates. Yesterday suddenly Hermes cancelled the delivery. On calling the customer care, no one had any clue why it was cancelled. I was ready to collect the parcel. They didnt allow that too.
Today again, it is showing that it will take another 24 hrs to process. What a pathetic service. I cant even connect to customer care.

I paid for an item to be returned to the sender.
This was collected on the 5th july 2021 and was meant to be returned within 5 working days however this time has now passed. I have used the contact us on the hermes page however only advised that there is a delay 15/7/21 and advises it will be updated in 24 hours however no update since and no updates since
I callesd customer service on the phone Was told by the agent that she would contact the depot and that i would be advised of the update today, still noting
Calling the customer service only provided the same information which is on my tracking information as well molly the virtual assitant, therefore having waited 15 mins to get through was a waste of time especially as they didnt send an email to the depot as advised.
My parcel for return values 179.00 and is sitting idly with no explanation as to what has happend and no real way to get this resolved... this is a very poor service and will be the 1st and last tine that i use hermes
Waitied in twice for my hermes parcel, and twice they never turned up even though they said they did. They lied about turning up saying that they missed me and that there wasn't a safe place to leave the parcel. All lies. NEVER TRUST HERMES TO DELIVER

Ordered from hobveycraft live in independent living accom not a residential home on two occasion they gave me delivery slot no goods rang hobvey craft gave them wardens number for Hermes to ring they know they can deliver they will know other firms have delivered to HALBERG but there addiment that they can't more like won't they are a disgrace theve disappointed a severely mentally ill person there is no gov. Advice that says you can't deliver to independent living schemes they should be ashamed avoid them at all costs and companies who use Hermes get another courrier

Answer: Almost impossible. Telephoning the number on the website gets two options both of which refer you back to the web chat. Using webchat is just an endless loop - log on and watch it they deal with eight calls a minute until it is yur turn at which time you see why because you are cut off and the cycle starts again
Answer: Because MyHermes are the worst company out there for deliveries. They can't take calls, as they'd be overwhelmed.
