They just charge on your debit card without even sending you an email or even worrying about letting you know what's happening. Such a bad faith and it's very expensive too. I regret coming across of this website

Just seen this company has been charging me £16.95 per month for a rough cv I did with them months ago. No renewal notices sent!

The Competitions and Markets Authority state:
If a business offers a subscription service or other long standing rolling type of agreement, for example, mobile phone contracts, insurance contracts, then businesses should make it clear how the subscription will be renewed, provide renewal reminders and allow customers to cancel without having to pay cancellation costs or give lengthy notice periods to cancel. Automatic renewals without sufficient reminders are likely to be regarded as unfair terms as are long notice periods or cancellation fees.

In response to Andy: Where were my renewal reminders sent each month? I am just checking other review sites and this is happening to hundreds of people each month. Surely this proves you are not making it clear enough!

Once you enroll in our services, an email is sent confirming your subscription as soon as you completed the purchase. The confirmation email states: "Your subscription begins immediately and renews automatically" followed by the corresponding date and purchase price. For our subscription details, please refer to our Terms of use and/or the confirmation email sent once you enrolled. Regarding the initial confirmation email, please check your email account inbox and trash/spam folders. If you can’t find this email, let us remind you that on our sales page on the same website, we state that after the 14 day trial period your account will automatically enroll onto a subscription service billed every four (4) weeks.

Like everyone else on this link I only found after falling for this damn scam, this website will take your money once, let you think you have cancelled it and then keep taking it. The useless CV's don't even download properly, thought I had wasted only £3 but now found it was more when I checked my bank statements. I'm going legal because it's the only way to stop these B******s

Our free account gives you the opportunity to try out our resume and cover letter builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, email, or download your resumes and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription and not listed as a feature of the free account. You can download a plain text version of your resume for free. In order to use all premium features of the service, we offer customers a 14 day access for $1.95 USD and we indicate up front that it will auto renew after the 14 day period and that it can be canceled at any time. The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14-day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. We also send a payment confirmation e-mail stating the date and amount of the auto-renewal. We do offer several ways to cancel including via phone, live chat, e-mail and self-cancellation in your Account Settings.

I work for the bank and this is a pretty well executed example of fraud.

The initial service was excellent, however after reading the abundance of reviews and experiencing the unexpected billing myself - make sure you steer clear. Elaborate hoax to give someone a short-term benefit but reaping the rewards of non-existent contracts in the long-term.

I have tried to cancel my subscription and get a refund for this. It was agreed but the confidence of the staff member on the phone has left me with some serious doubt as to whether this will actually be actioned. However, I have received a confirmation email so will see what occurs over the next few days.

Software is nothing special. What annoyed me is that you pay 2 pounds for CV and you all of a sudden get amazing auto subscription for their outstanding services for 23.80 a month, which despite not using, they declined to refund you.

Would say deceiving and useless, customer support is quick but they have plenty of already prepared answers as I'm not the only person who complains about automatic subscription.

BEWARE your 1.95 pounds cv may turn into 23.80/month, so make sure you cancel your automated subscription for this outstanding service.

I Got charged 25.7 US Dollar for only one month subscription although it's only without any prior notification.
This is very bad and fraud from this management that have a reputation to make you feel secured to add your details with them.
I'm going to file a follow up with my bank and make all the needed procedures to fix this issue.

Tip for consumers:
please do not add your card details other wise you will be charged without any prior notification and more than you expect.

Avoid this site as you will spend ages filling in the details of your C. V only to find you have to pay. Monthly apparently. Luckily I stopped half way through as I was suspicious that such a slick site could be free. I would have given no stars at all!

I'm impressed and surprised. This website looked very serious, very well done service. And just to be neutral the website did a good job with my CV.
(!) But the notification on the automatic subscription is written in light grey down the bottom, you would not expect it from a serious site that cares about their reputation.
And I see people are complaining since 2017 and they have not changed this!
I'm disappointed. I'll never use this website again because they are cheating and they know it.

Can't help but feel CONNED. myperfectcv.co.uk fail to inform you at the beginning of their process that there is a recurring fee of £23.80 which is withdrawn from your account on a monthly basis on top of the £2.95 they request as you submit the completed CV. There are excellent CV services that charge nothing just be patient and search or seek from personal agencies

Absolutely fuming this is a very bad site went to try and cancel my 14 day free trial and phone numbers don't work tried there online support no response tried email no answer they are just scam you take your money then ignore you there cv templates are rubbish just please don't touch them I will have to cancel my bank cards to stop getting charged as you can't cancel once you have signed up very upset

An easy to use site which gives you ideas and a modern-looking CV.
A little expensive per month. Easy to contact the customer services to cancel. Reduction was offered if I continue, but I am not looking for work, only volunteering roles... which I have secured via other channels.

It's really helpful, loads of options to tailor your CV to match the role you wish to apply for. Also very professional and the site is easy to use. Only suggestion I would make is to make it clear at the time of purchase that you are in fact subscribing and will pay a monthly fee. 4 stars from me :)

I dont even recall signing up to their "service" i know me and if i had it would have said it was free, i'd definitely never pay £23.80 a month for a unused or even used CV tool... absolute con artists!

I would like to say how very happy I have been with the very professional and caring attitude of this company, everything was self explanatory and when it came to ceasing my subscription as I have now found employment I communicated with Edgar who could not have been more helpful. I am very pleased with the service received over the phone today from Victor, such a down to earth guy! There was no robotic responses or 'let me get you off the line as fast as possible' attitude - human and kind service, I am impressed!

Easy to get going and set up a good quality CV, however, I became concerned when seeing the charges and no easy exit. I was happy to 'pay as you go' and not be drawn into a monthly payment when my CV was completed. I asked for help on line and got an immediate reply by Marianne Hernandez who was really helpful and helped me exit the service. The suggestions and hints were very good. I would use them again but would be mindful about my exit.

I created a rough CV a long time ago and then cancelled my subscription but looking through all my bank statements last night I discovered I've been charged £16.95 ever since, they've took £104 from me even though I haven't been back on their website for a very long time and got told my membership was over!

The templates are easy to use and have an excellent professional look, the customer service and back up is first rate, Like some of the bad reviews you had i was surprised to be charged £16.95 for an account I didn't need, when challenged the company recognised my mistake and reimbursed the money immediately.

Should of read the reviews first, cancelled the subscription straight away after reading the reviews, shall pop to my bank to ensure no payment comes out next month, it's crap when emailing the CV, appears all mixed up and half of it is missing

I was not aware that i was getting myself into a subscription pack of 16.95 pounds a month but after talking to the customer service, they kindly processed my complain and offered me a refund with great patience. They are really understanding and responsible.

I have found cover letter to be extremely user friendly and staff is very polite and helpful. I dealt with Danny and was able to cancel my subscription within minutes because I already got a job using the cover letter. It was less than a week and landed a job. Thanks to cover letter, I would highly recommend this service to all who are looking to gain employment and they have so many different cover letters to chose from and its really easy. I think the most difficult part was choosing the one for me. And thats not really a bad thing. Thanks again for your help and just give it a try and see what happens in your job search. Mine is over and I landed a job that I couldnt wipe the smile off my face after leaving! Well done!

The cv template was extremely easy to follow, but it stated that my subscription could be cancelled via my on line account, there was no where on the site for me to cancel had to phone customer services, very charming young man but really tried to sell me another month, not interested all I wanted was a cv.

I was aware I signed up for the free trial, but I was sure to cancel it on time once I had in possession of the digital copy of my CV. The person who helped me as I wrote my CV was there as witness to me cancelling the subscription on my account.

Yet I have just found out nearly £100 had been deducted from my card in the span of a few months without my notice. I'm disappointed and shocked. Will be contacting my bank since I don't trust these people to do anything about refunds.

The customer support experience here for me was excellent, I called to cancel my subscription after I billed and they even gave me a full refund! Andrew was extremely helpful and friendly when it came to my questions and concerns.
