“Beware after 14 day trial, it gets expensive for a "free" resume template”

I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.

I wrote them 3 different times about recieving a refund! They ignored me every single time. Low life A*******! Stealing money from people that are obviously looking for a job! Hope you guys get shut down soon!

There should be a free option, maybe to have just the template for example. Required payment after the resume is built felt slightly misleading, although I'm sure I over looked a small-fonted acknowledgement at some point, as most people do.

Free subscription... Not! Paid to download one format... And found Recently found my account being debited every couple of weeks... Had to cancels credit card... No statement emails... I'm now over 300 out of pocket... Didn't give thembthecright ti take more money...!

It appears my complaint is the same as everyone elses here. Be careful of this company. Very misleading! I got scammed like everyone else did. 2 things, a) was told my resume was horrible at interview and b) don't tell me to have a nice day directly after ruining it.

Everything about this was great... until I got to the 'pay' page. I'm not saying that you don't provide a service worthy of being payed. I'm just saying maybe don't surprise people with it at the end... it was quite upsetting after all of the work I did on entering information to have that pop up.

Without even knowing they took a monthly fee from my account after only wanting a trial of their product. Wouldn't trust them ever again. I do not recommend using them unless you want to loose $35 a month

Do not use their service. I live in Canada so prices may vary. I saw their advertisement stating "$4/month" that's why I signed up. After checking my credit card bill in a month I was charged 4 times. First 2 transactions being really small ($1 and $1.95) but the last two was $34.95 and they weren't even charging every 4 weeks. Just random dates. So in the 1 month and 5 days that I signed up for their service I was charged total of almost $73. I called their customer service twice. Both times left me on hold for over 30 mins then went to voice mail. Most people that needs this site doesn't have a job and is currently looking for one. They are stealing from poor people that needs a job. It's a total scam and I don't know how the people that run this site can go home and be with their family as if they have done nothing wrong.

I'm not sure what's going on with MyPerfectResume and the other names by which this company operates, but I was charged $1.95 for a 15 day trial, created my resume' and then couldn't download my resume' without paying an additional amount. I abandoned the program and created my own resume'. Exactly 15 days after trying the trial, they try to charge my credit card $19.95. I clearly don't want the service. This business model will eventually fail because DECEIT only lasts for so long. Joseph G. Helped me and provided good customer service; however, my issue isn't fully resolved at this point. I was charged for a service I never was able to use. Why no last names or operator #s?

Literally! I was so burned out on tailoring resumes to fit different kinds of jobs, that I'd come to a standstill... until My Perfect Resume, that is! Not only did MPR make it easy and painless, but it was much better than anything I could have come up with, even if I hadn't developed an abhorrence of the whole procedure! Thank you, God! Sometimes, I have trouble formatting my resume or customizing it to precisely how I want it. Eddie Franklin of myperfectresume.com, not only corrected my issue very quickly, but he walked me through on how I can fix it in the future. He was really friendly, and really patient (Lord knows I require plenty of that seeing that I'm not technically savvy). I felt like he was a relative or friend of mine, the way in which he handled my situation. I wish all customer service reps were as nice as him and overall, I've honestly never had a bad experience with the customer service reps at myperfectresume.com. Every time I call, there's someone awesome there to help. Way to go myperfectresume.com, whatever you guys are doing, keep it up! I'm sincerely pleased, and actually, impressed.

Attempted to create my son's resume on my own and quickly decided my 'skills' were subpar at best. This site has great tips, templates as well as pre chosen job skills etc making it easy. The service isn't for free tho (mine cost $2.95 but was well worth it) just be sure to cancel before the $24.95 monthly fee kicks in.

Last January or February, I gladly accepted a $3 charge so I could create a resume just for an assignment in class... I had NO idea it was going to be charging me $25 EVERY month after that. I never would have agreed to the $3 for one-two weeks of use beings how it was just for a 20 point assignment in a class if I knew they would save my credit card information and charge me every month after that! I have emailed the company twice and will update my review as soon as I hear back.
**Update** I talked to customer service first and they were able to refund me the three of eight months, the remaining months had to be sent to upper management to determine. Within a couple days after that, I heard back from them and was confirmed I'll be able to get the full refund! Everybody was incredibly nice, which made it for an easier process!

I needed to make a resume, so I saw they were offering a "one-chance-only" sale of $1.14 to be able to download the finished product. I gave the credit card information and bam, I got to download it. Fast forward seven months later and I just NOW noticed that they have been continuously charging me 24.95 every month. I NEVER went back to that website until now to check and once you pay, they AUTOMATICALLY sign you up for a subscription.

There's no way to track them down nor dispute. Had to cancel the card because despite cancelling subscription, they continued to charge. *. Don't fall in their trap.

Like everyone else I got taken also. So far $150.00 with exchange. Call credit card company and was told I had to stop subscription! I did the 2.99 also. Had this happen to me 15 years ago and thought I was screwed then too, but about 4 years later the company lost a class action lawsuit and I got just over 3/4 back

They offer very $#*!ty resume services then charge you $2 if you want to download, which is fine. What they do not tell you (it's probably in very small print) that upon doing this you unwillingly sign up for a monthly charge of $35. After seeing this on your bill and not knowing they were going to charge they will not refund you. Who wants to pay $35 for very $#*!ty service. Seems like scamming people is the only way these piece of $#*! scum bags make their money. A lot of us college kids are working paycheck to paycheck and cannot afford an unexpected $35 fee. That literally takes food out of our mouths you piece of $#*!s!

If this company is so open about its 14 day trial, then continues to take money from your account, staggering the price to confuse their customers into thinking it's another transaction. Then refuses to refund your money. I would think that they are just profiteering. Please avoid these scamming companies. It's despicable. Search for other companies with a better reputation.

You can download a plain text version of your resume for free. To further our user experience, we provide the option of a 14-day trial for a small fee.
When you select our 14-day trial enrollment, it provides all details on screen that after the 14th day it will auto enroll into the monthly subscription service. It also explains, that you can cancel at any given time. This alert is also given when the credit card information is requested where it explains that, unless you cancel, you automatically authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription.
Lastly, when you finish your enrollment process, an e-mail is sent explaining this as well. Auto emails can get picked up by the filter as spam or junk mail, redirecting this to the junk/Spam folder. Please, be sure to check your spam/junk mail folder.
As a courtesy, we went ahead and refunded your account prior to this review. Please check with your banking institution after 3 to 5 business days about the posting and crediting your account. Additionally we sent you an account cancelation confirmation email. Auto emails can get picked up as spam or junk mail. Be sure to check your spam/junk mail folder.

I used my perfect CV to make the most wonderful, professional CV. I needed to cancel my subscription as I decided to postpone my career development plans for twelve months. The service I received from Joseph in customer services was first class. He cancelled my subscription immediately and advised me that it would be possible to reinstate when necessary. The resume process was super easy and turned out nicely. For those complaining about the repeat fee, why didn't you cancel? It clearly states there is a one time fee for resume development and that you should cancel within 30 days if not interested in ongoing support. Read the conditions, they aren't hidden either. I did call to cancel at day 28 and received professional customer service.

They ask if you only want the $2.95 option of only having access for one week to a template. So that's what I bought... or so I thought. They charged me over $50 with no email... I just so happened to check my statement and noticed two separate charges of $25 (which look very fishy btw). I feel like they are scamming people BIG TIME! And then it's very difficult to cancel. DO NOT USE THEM!

They automatically started charging a recurring bill without even mentioning it beforehand. You can't cancel the subscription on the dashboard, you need to contact them in order to cancel the service. This is a very scummy company that deceives customers in order to make a quick buck.

Tried the 14 day trial, the resume was useless something a high schooler could write. After my trial I ended my subscription to find out I have been charged again 3 months later. Called the help line and all any one couple do was read off a script of what there policy was. Never use this site unless you want to throw away $36 a month.
