I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
I am intimidated to try and write a review because you've exposed me to what real writing looks like. My original resume' pales in comparison. It was a tedious task, but you took the hard work out of it making it possible for me to have a professional resume'
I agreed to paying an amount around $2, but I came to realize they had been charging my account $24.99 every month. NOT OK! But, I called them and the man was very kind and issued my refund and also had to request previous months' refund from corporate (he should be able to do this in my opinion, but the company won't empower it's employees to do so). Any way, I should be receiving the rest of my refund in a week, but they should have to ask you to charge the $24.99 instead of just sending an email that looks like junk mail saying they are charging my account...

This place is terrible! It's an online scam business that will keep charging your credit card and won't refund your money. When you sign up for $2.95 to build a resume it never says you are in a membership. I just talked to Lou in Puerto Rico and she refused to refund my money! I had to dispute the charge with my credit card company and place s block on my account to be sure they didn't continue to charge my card.

They charge me a set amount (like $3.95) to use the site for 14 days access, but after 14 days they have a recurring charge of $24.95. I called to cancel and the guy kept repeating himself stating that they sent me an email explaining that. I didn't read an email from their website 14 days later thinking it was spam. I didn't even know they were storing my credit card info in their site. Totally unethical.

I used this website a few years ago to download ONE resume for my freshman year of college... I got charged FIVE times and the customer service was rude about it. Not only that but the resume sucked and honestly could not convert well to PDF or Word without significant design changes. Fast forward to me entering me senior year of college I see on my bank statements charges for a subscription that I had not started. The subscription cost was 23.99 and I had a full bank investigation because I thought it was fraud... it was not. They only refunded me three charges even though I they messed it up for 8 months. Horrible place. Just look up how to make one and use Google Drive resume outlines to make one that is SO much better.

I have signed up for 14 days trial and paid 3.34 dollars which I had no problems with, but I was later charged again with 1.71 dollars, the worst thing is this morning I received 28.82 dollars bill which I did not want to pay, I spent hours trying to cancel my subscription but there was nothing useful in the website. I was under the impression that I selected $2.95 to print a resume without signing up to a subscription. Turns out that $2.95 is how they get your cc info to charge you $23.95 14 days later for a subscription. Their response to me when I messaged them to get my money back for a subscription I didn't realize I purchased was basically - "Oh well... You have our services for the next month but the good news is you can cancel your subscription and not be charge next month". BE AWARE!

In one of the cover letter templates, there is a typo that states "which all me..." it should say "which allows me." Also, I completed my resume and noticed there was a comma where there should've been a period, there was a repeated bullet point, and there were missing periods at the end of multiple sentences. I realize I need to check it over but I thought that's what I was paying for. I applied to over a dozen companies emphasizing my attention to detail. I scrutinized my resume and found these mistakes. Completely embarrassing to say the least. You need to proof read all templates ASAP as well as have the grammar/spell check updated.

Perfect resume is good use, i like the templates. It's just that doing minor changes will crashed the file. MS word file is not readable on smartphone, it's corrupted.

They have been charging me for the last two months even though I cancelled back in January. I have made multiple calls to customer service and every time they tell me they put in a refund request to get my charges refunded and that someone from their "refund department" will contact me within two days. Nobody has EVER contacted me, even after multiple calls and emails.

I haven't logged into my account for over 3 years. It was easy to get back in, using my phone number and security questions. All of my information was saved and made it very easy to continue where I started from. The price is fair and it makes looking for a new job so much easier and less stressful.

Another shady company advertising as a free service. My Google query was "Free online resume builder". They were included in the result set and I spent almost an hour creating my resume, only to find that I had to pay before I could access the finished product. A follow-up Google query returned an ad for them that literally stated Special: Free resume for $1.95.
I called customer support to inquire whether they understood what the term free meant and after 3 minutes on the phone, realized that they do not! BUYER BEWARE!

Our free account gives you the chance to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, e-mail, or download your resume and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription and not listed as a feature of the free account. You can download a plain text version of your resume for free. For the benefit of our users, we provide the option of a 14-day trial for a small fee. When you select our 14-day trial enrollment, it provides all the details on screen which state that after the 14th day, it will auto enroll into the monthly subscription service. It also explains that you can cancel at any given time. This alert is also given when the credit card information is requested where it explains that unless you cancel, you automatically authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription. Lastly, when you finish your enrollment process, an e-mail is sent explaining this as well. Auto e-mails can get picked up by the filter as spam or junk mail, redirecting this to the junk/spam folder. Please be sure to check these folders just in case.
