I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
Beware! I went on this site to get a "free" resume--I ended having to initially pay a little less then 3 dollars to print the resume--but did not realize that in doing so I was signing up for a service that would automatically charge me 35 dollars a month--I finally figured it out after spending 70 dollars--this is not worth it. I am sorry for any company that needs to "trick" me into getting my money.
The service was very helpful; and had many additional services; such as job finding services and suggestions; my only critique would be that I could not move the sections of my resume to reformat more easily i. E.; work history before education

I was mislead into hours of typing and hard work only to find out this site, in fact, is not free. Although, I think the price is fair for the initial document, I'm anticipating further charges and a headache. Transparency goes a long way.

I spent time doing why resume as it was advertised as free and then I could not download until I paid American (I presume) 2.95 which would go up to over 34 in 14 days. I think this is misleading. I have no issue paying 2.95 but you are more than misleading. Other than that seems a good service.

It should not come up under free resume since you have to pay for it. None of the dates of my jobs filled in accurately--It was all clumped together and dates were wrong so I had to do a lot of editing. Besides that, it worked out well.

My nephew asked for my help in putting together his resume for a very important job he was seeking. Spent a couple hours building a resume after already having had some bad experiences with other sites. Lo and behold, this site didn't tell me I'd have to PAY for the ability to print/email my resume until AFTER I'd finished these hours of work.
No, I'm not giving you my money for that. I'll be alerting as many people as I can to stay away from this site. I'm typing my resume out into a word processor and using that file instead.

Rather unique situation for me being 65 and a federal retiree. I was simply in need of one quarter for Social Security and only needed a resume to complete the application process for a part-time temporary position. I liked the looks of your resume compared to others, so I thought it was worth $2.95. It was both surprising and deceptive to find that I was going to be charged $24.95 per month to keep your services. Like others who have dealt with your company, it was very difficult to get you off the phone as the offers kept coming (like how about $12.95 per month and/or getting friends or family members to sign up). My phone contact was named Luis Monge who was polite enough (and well trained!) but too pushy, especially for a deceptive offer. He didn't seem to really listen to what I was saying but did ultimately allow me to opt out. I don't think I'm speaking just for me saying that yours is not a good way of doing business.

Be very careful or you will be spending a lot more than you think!

He gave me a full refund and since I was still looking for a job I agreed to a price of $5.95, it looks like some people on here got a lower price but I'm not upset about it. No problem creating a great resume. Relatively easy to learn. The problem comes after your low $2.95 initial payment for 14 days.
As far as I can tell, editing the resume requires you to pay a monthly or annual fee. So YOUR resume is held captive by the company. I've not been able to change one thing without being on THEIR website.

A very useful tool offering a variety of formats to suit the type of job and/or personality of the applicant. Suggested descriptions of varying work experiences are generally well-written, however, often corrected by the program's final check process. Resumes for Federal jobs have not been (to date) covered by MyPerfectResume, nor CV's, but I have been able to adapt some of the basic formatting while completing less-frequently requested resume types. Overall, this is the third year I have chosen to use this program.

I used them and cancelled my subscription before the trial period was over. They charged me 35.80 the NEXT month. I emailed someone "from their company" back and forth and the emails made no sense! Ut was like I was talking to a dyslexic robot! They told me the account was cancelled and I was not charged. Uh, okay I must be imagining things? The person told me all they could do is refund me 1.00. Really?!?! Gee, thanks. Well, just looked at my bank account and guess what? A charge of 35.80 AGAIN! I am so fed up with this company SUCH A SCAM! I am contacting the Better Business Bureau to report them. Please stay FAR away! There are far better sites out there anyway!

Let's face it, the most important part of a resume is packaging. I copied the exact information from my (what I thought was a good) resume onto a MPR template and the clarity and crispness was amazing. Additionally, MPR auto-filled corp. names completely with words such as "Division of" or "LLC". My present company is shuttering the plant where I work so the stakes are high using this new resume. Visually I"m convinced this version will catch attention.

So I spend an hour trying to make my resume because they claim they are free. Then i go to print just to find out it forces people into a subscription for a year when all you want is ONLY one resume. This site is $#*! and not getting my money. Now i have to rewrite the whole $#*!ing thing. If you just tell people its not free in the first place they wont waste their time. I did a friend a favor by doing a resume for her, I found a site and it said www.myperfectresume.com/free resume -(or something close to that) We spent the time made the resume and then came the bit about credit card and 14 day trial membership (did not see the fine print about cancelling after that period) my fault.
Four months later@ 34.95 per month =$139.80 For 1 copy of a one page resume- I guess lesson learned - I was not offered a refund like other reviews. Customer service was pleasant enough and cancelled right away and said sorry to see you go - funny I didn't even know I was there. Screwed again by another website and their lure of free and trial and fine print NOT VERY HAPPY -

Paid flat fee of $2.95 as a subscription and without my consent, the company took a further $70 over the next two months. I'm trying to get into contact with them but the Australian contact number doesn't seem to be active. This website never clearly states it will be taking this amount of money at any point, and it's incredibly difficult to detect it's a scam until after it's taken your money.
If a customer rep could get into contact with me to sort out my refund, that would be delightful.

Ian did a great job helping me, he was professional, accurate, and polite. I loved the site when I was searching for jobs, it took the hassle out of formatting a resume by myself in Microsoft Word, and the suggested phrases in the builder helped me with writers block. The price was right with the trial for a few dollars, however $24.99 monthly afterwards is a bit steep. I cancelled my subscription since I have the job I want, but should I go job hunting or need to update my resume, Ill definitely use this service again.
