“Beware after 14 day trial, it gets expensive for a "free" resume template”

I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.

I had to call customer service today and cancel my subscription to MyPerfectResume.com due to some personal issues that led to me leaving the world of employment. I called in and I spoke with Armando Campos. He was very personable and very helpful. He explained all the benefits of having their service and offered me a few different discount options to see if they'd help alleviate the economic situation I'm in due to my unemployment but I explained that it might be some time before I can search for employment again. I will definitely sign back up for MyPerfectResume.com when I'm ready to start applying for new jobs. Armando definitely did his job (trying to retain the customer) but he was never pushy or forceful. I appreciated his help and give him very high marks! Having been a telephone customer service operator I'd like to thank Armando for going above and beyond and making my experience pleasant despite my cancellation and thanks for issuing me a refund.

I'm so mad I could spit nails! One time fee $2.95 my a**. Just took a look at my checking and they charged me $35.50! Called the company and the lady said there was no direct line to her boss. Her boss must be God because he is the only one I know that does not have a direct line! Don't do it they rip you off!

So, I used some constructive criticism at a recent job fair as my rather boring resume did not reflect the true potential candidate I truly was. After searching online for resume builders, I came across MyPerfectResume. I figured it was worth the trial fee of $2.95, I worked on the format and took the time to restructure my resume using the many templates and advice this site provides. I subscribed for $3.00 to create a resume because I did not have Word at the time. I had no idea that I would continue to be charged $24.95 per month. This nightmare began in April, 2017 and now it's November and you've just debited my account again. I have been calling, waiting on hold and leaving messages asking for a call back to stop these transactions. I want my money back.

Our free account gives you the chance to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, e-mail, or download your resume and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription and not listed as a feature of the free account. You can download a plain text version of your resume for free. For the benefit of our users, we provide the option of a 14-day trial for a small fee. When you select our 14-day trial enrollment, it provides all the details on screen which state that after the 14th day, it will auto enroll into the monthly subscription service. It also explains that you can cancel at any given time. This alert is also given when the credit card information is requested where it explains that unless you cancel, you automatically authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription. Lastly, when you finish your enrollment process, an e-mail is sent explaining this as well. Auto e-mails can get picked up by the filter as spam or junk mail, redirecting this to the junk/spam folder. Please be sure to check these folders just in case.

This site is run by scammer... they charged me $3 for trial and I cancelled it right away. They still kept charging me saying that request did not go through... no refund for trail as they promised on their website on top of that you will end up paying another $35 and $1 foreign transaction fee... To top it off the quality of the resume is as good as their service...

Updated 04/20/2016. I filed a grievance with my credit card company and they gave me a refund.

I called to cancel and ask for a refund on an account I thought I had cancelled the month prior. Vanessa (id#1110) was very courteous, patient and understanding of my situation. The call took about 10 mins because of kiddo interruptions and Vanessa remained polite and well-mannered even through the distractions and repeatedly having to be asked to repeat herself. I found employment within a month because of this website and due to the customer service received, I will return if ever needed! It clearly says free when you start the process but only after all the hard work of putting the resume together do you find out that there is a charge with auto renew built in. The only reason I continued on is because I am pushed for time on this. You should at least be up front about it not being free. I will be loud and clear to everyone I talk to avoid this bait and switch company!

This website is super helpful and makes the process a little less intimidating. The suggestions and tips provided are really helpful. My one complaint is it felt slightly like a trick because I searched for free websites to help me create a resume and it didn't inform me until my entire process of creating said resume to tell me that I would indeed be getting charged. It's not a bad price or anything, only like three dollars, but for people who are looking for a job and trying to not spend money, that was an annoyance.

This is a huge scam! I signed up for a 7 day 2.95 charge - 2 weeks later I get hit with 38.50 and a claim I had a subscription! Uh no! I also had several other small charges like. 06 -. 09 -1.06 Waited on hold for an hour on the phone AND and trying to chat with an agent - never got through - went to my bank today to dispute all the charges except the 2.95 and found out the little charges are international fees - I changed my card to keep them from taking anymore unauthorized funds! 100% total scam!

I found this company to be very efficient, friendly and patient. I called several times for different reasons regarding the building of my resume and each time the staff on the phone were professional and eager to assist. The wait times were reasonable if they were unsure how to solve a technical problem and the end result is they always resolved it. I would highly recommend this service as the various templates were great, lots of options and it is comforting to know you can call and get help when needed. Don't forget to cancel after you enter your card/payment information. I ended up paying $80+ for one disappointing resume template. The charges didn't show up into my bank account until 4 months later and they did not give any notice of the charges, and they did not let me dispute them.
Would not recommend.

They will mention the resume templates are free and after I spent an hour building a resume I was told I need to become a member. A month or so later $34 was taken out of my account without any notification that payment was about to be due. When I went to contact them the number is not connected. Probably the poorest service I've ever experienced.

They told me I had to pay 2 dollars and they've debited my account twice now for $30. They dont even ask you if you'd like to sign up to their website. Just because you had a crappy website idea and it doesn't earn money - Dont steal from the public! I am going to file a complaint if they dont reverse my $60 dollars. What kind of people run this.

It's dangerous to give people like you anyone's card details! You'll should be shut down.
