I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
I used this tool to create my high school students first resume. I love that it formats beautifully and even provides suggestions. I didn't give it 5 stars because it can also be a bit restrictive (if you don't plan to maintain this service indefinitely, formatting the final product on your own can be a nightmare). But I get it... this is how they make their money.
Overall... I say it's a great service and I would recommend it!
Paid about $3 for my first resume and cover letter. But 14 days later when I had completely forgotten about the website and was well on my way with my resume and job interviews I noticed that $35-$40 from my account was missing. Who would ever want to pay year round to keep a resume making account open. It's obvious that they knew no one would willingly pay so they just take an automatic payment when people have forgotten about it.

The site is very user friendly and I was able to draw up several versions of my resume in a short amount of time, no problem. I stopped short of using the cover letter templates, however, because I felt that they left something to be desired; they were altogether too pushy and arrogant-sounding, or just plain laughable. In any case, customer service was very knowledgeable and helpful, and I would use MyPerfectResume again in the future and recommend it to friends and co-workers.

I am beyond disappointed with this "service." I paid $2.99 SEVERAL months ago for a template that didn't even end up working out for me, and just now realized i've been charged the last 8+ months for it! I am a Graduate School student who is having a difficult time making ends meet as it is. I contacted MyPerfectResume months ago trying to cancel this and they ensured me that I would no longer be charged. Come to find out, i've been charged $25/month for the last who knows how long. It is beyond disappointing that this company is choosing to profit off students who may not pay as close attention to their funds as they should. It's clear to me that regardless - you'll still get charged either way. STAY. AWAY.

First of all, NO WHERE does it tell you that you will be billed within the first 7 days of your FREE TRIAL. I had to pay my $3.95 to get my resume and have been trying for 17 days to get in contact with someone about cancelling my auto-bill pay. 1. Their Live Chat support is ALWAYS off-line. 2. Under "contact us" the only thing they allow you to do is send an email, or I should say attempt to send an email because after you compose the entire email and hit submit, the server fails! But funny because I get on here to look at their reviews and 48 seconds ago a customer service agent responded to a review... huh?! How does that happen?

As other reviewers state, the service as advertised as free. Upon completion of resume, you will be charged 4$ to use the resume in any format outside of the website. This is not a one time charge, and will roll into a monthly subscription that costs 24.95. The cancellation process is 4 pages along, and involves scrolling to click the button to get to the next page. It will appear as though you have cancelled your account, but have not yet completed the cancellation until approximately 4 pages later. This is clearly a service one does not need to log into once completed, and I was fine paying the original 4 dollar fee to create a nice looking resume. However, the difficulty in originally cancelling my subscription and the lack of effort from their customer service makes me feel as though the practices used are intentionally deceptive.
We are in fact free, Austin, for the benefit of our users, we offer a free account that gives you the chance to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase, and you may download a plain text version of your resume for free. The 25.00 is not a one time charge. It's a subscription. You will be charged that 25.00 again until you call them and cancel it. I tried to deactivate my account after printing my resume. I thought I had until I checked my bank account and saw the 25.00 additional charge again a month later. I did not get my money back either. The call center I called had really loud background noise and I could barely hear or understand the representative. After telling them I was upset about the charge they tried to sell me a different thing. Which annoyed me even further. I regret ever using their service period.
I really enjoyed using this software but I do not like how initially it advertises as free and then surprises you with the only option of purchasing. Not pricey though, that's why I gave it four stars.

Gentry provided great customer service. However, this website is NOT worth 24.99 a month. When I first signed up I assumed the $1.99 I was paying was to download and save my resume, okay thats cool. Then I check my bank account one day and see $24.99 taken out from this company. Had I known that was going to happen, I never would have signed up.

I needed to make a payment to use my suspended account. When I called, I wanted to only pay the $2.95 offer for the 14 day trial. The Sales Rep informed me that he was going to speak to his manager and get me the 14 day trial at $2.95 and an indefinite 50% off discount on a subscription after the 14 days is up. So, if I decided to keep my subscription, my monthly payments would only be about $12 instead of the regular $35 monthly payment. And I could cancel at anytime. Overall great experience.

I had a very pleasant experience with him. I told him I called to cancel many times and he still tried to boost sales. I would give 0 stars if I could. I was scammed out of $23. Don't use this site. I applied for a trial. I felt fine spending the $2.83 to use the service. Suddenly I was locked into a year long membership where I'm play $23 a month? Tried to cancel twice via the website, but you have to call to cancel? You're going to be routinely charged if you use this service. When I called they would only give me an $11 refund despite not having used their services more than the one time. Utter bull$#*!. GIVE ME MY MONEY BACK

Nothing in this life is perfect. Upon review of my final draft, I noticed a minor formatting concern. But once you enter your account number they will start charging your card around $34 monthly. They refused to refund, wasted my time over the phone and said i had agreed to a subscription which i had not at any point! Its a scam
