I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
My perfect resume is a fraudulent web based company that does not deliver what it promises. Endless waiting on a phone line for help and email disclaimers staying my resume could not be submitted for review, although they happily took my $19.95. Do not be fooled. They suck!
Extremely sneaky website, they offer you a 14 day trial and then get charged $34,95 per month. The kicker is, they do not send you any emails or notifications. Months will go by and you will get charged unknowingly, unless you keep an eye on your bank details.
"Just rememeber to unsubscribe" If it was that easy... Try unsubscribing online and it will give you the illusion by saying that you have been downgraded to basic. You will still get charged, know where on their website is there an option to unsubscribe.
"So talk to them using the online chat"
Go ahead, you might be the exception and still get charged the following month.
I was that exception, I have now emailed them asking for a refund for my inactivity and to cancel my damn subscription like I have already asked.
Be very careful, this company will prey on the forgetful and even more on your false sense of confidence. Make sure that subscription is CANCELLED.

Ensure you cancel the subscription, you won't get reminded that you're even still subscribed. Be very careful

This resume builder is a good product and I got a job very quickly using it along with my background. I had only used it 1 time and never again but was charged $25 each month for an additional 3 months without knowing. My bad for not checking my charges but it was never clear that I would be charged each month. I called and they refunded 1 month but not the others. Shady way to take peoples money...

I would be much more inclined to use this service if it were not subscription base. The subscription system honestly feels like a scam for customers to forget to cancel their subscription and to get charged again. The website works very well and is a good product/service, but should not be subscription based.

The site had several good templates, pretty easy to use. Only warning is to write down the cancellation phone number to use when ready to cancel, cause once you set up an account can not get back to generic website which lists the cancellation info. I was happy I had written it down.

I have used My Perfect Resume in the past, and I remember being very happy with the outcome. However today I noticed a charge of $35 from this company and also emails saying that thanked me for my order and then immediately a cancellation email. I called my bank and we were able to talk with Sergio, a representative. I would like to thank Sergio for his help in this, since I was very confused and upset (your mind goes to worst case scenario mode). He was very helpful during all this and was very kind towards me while I lost my composure and started to cry. I'm sure it was something as simple as a system error and not something more insidious, but I would warn anyone to be vigilant against identify theft and fraud. Remember to be kind towards company representatives and to appreciate the help they can provide for you, Sergio alone would warrant 5 stars from me if it weren't for the upsetting reason I had to call.

After signing up for this service, I noticed a charge of 35.80 a few days later. I was under the impression this was a free service. Regardless I called on 1/28 to cancel my membership. I was told in seven days it would automatically charge the 35.80 from the first day the membership was active. Very deceiving. So again I cancelled my membership. Today I got another charge of 35.80 and when I called today they have no record of my first call to cancel. I told them their calls are recorded so they should be able to pull the call. Not getting off that easy! Compete fraud! I'm contacting the Better Business Bureau and let this be a warning to anyone looking to use this horrible service!

Signed up in November and had done a cv for a one off payment without knowing that in the small print I am being charged £23.30 a month and this being 8 months its a bit ridiculous. I received no written warning about this or any sort of alerts.
I'm pretty peaved off.
As well as this the cv didn't even convert well and looked awful once converted.
