I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
The service is automatically recurring monthly payments without any bills or notice; also, the service cannot be cancelled on your dashboard unless you contact them to help you end the service. It seems that they use this tactic to deceive consumers so as to make money. I ended up spending over $100 for a simple resume template that I used to quickly put one together as a formality. Needless to say, I feel that I was scammed by this company. Hard lesson learned, user beware to avoid costly consequence.

The resume builder fails to allow adding ones name at the second page top. In this case, should page 2 become separated, one would not know whose it is. Software assumes everyone should be one page.
Despite the shortcomings, Jose offered excellent service and did his best. Formatting instructions needs improvement.

I signed up for a $2.95 access, them cancelled as per website wording. They have been debiting my account at random times $35 monthly, it mid monthly (so as not to notice) no email receipts or any correspondence. Have contacted bank cancelled card and disputing all this theft for a refund

Please stay clear of this company. I have been on the phone with them for over 2 hours and they cannot do something as simple as put my bullets back in a straight line. In the formatting tool it is straight but when you save to a PDF then the bullet go hey wire! The customer service agent literally did not know what a bullet was! He works for a resume company!

I went on this site originally JUST for a resume-I wanted a nice template, easy layout, etc. I was interested in some of the membership packages, but failed to follow up after the initial 14-day trial, and ended up with money being drafted out of my checking account (didn't notice it until 2 months later).
This site has many terrific options for resumes, cover letters, job hunting, etc, and I will definitely come back to it! I will also pay more attention to the fine print...

This company profits on the hope that you won't read the find print. Downloaded a resume for 2.95. I did not receive a confirmation email or anything, but the following month I started getting billed for $35.80. Unfortunately, I didn't catch it for several months. Just what the company hopes will happen. I paid this stupid company a ridiculous amount of money for 1- 2 page resume. DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE!
In their response they keep saying "I'm so sorry you had this experience", but if they really were sorry they would change their business practices and refund the money they ripped off from people. Any positive reviews on this website are fake!

Cancellation stops the auto-renewal. Once it’s canceled, we send a cancellation confirmation email for your records. There are times that auto emails can get picked up as spam or junk mail. Be sure to check your spam/junk mail folder.

This website is very misleading. They let you build your entire resume and then inform you that it is going to cost upwards of $20 monthly. Also, I have a master's in environmental science and the job matches that this site recommends are ones like Homedepot manager. I am extremely dissatisfied.

My 16 year old used this service to try to get a summer job. They continue to charge you monthly $34.95 until you cancel the subscription. Four months later, we realized it had never been cancelled, even though he thought he did. They refunded the last month, but, now we're down $100. Seems ridiculous to charge that much for a resume site.

Lastly, when you finish your enrollment process, an e-mail is sent explaining this as well. I did that and played around with it for 30 minutes. I didn't even end up using that resume, because it did not help me improve the resume whatsoever. Not in content, or layout.
I thought it was fine, it just cost a dollar.
After realizing, I got charged 14 days later for the monthly membership, i called them (2 hours after my trial expired). I spoke to a representative who barely spoke english and would not refund me, so only ended up cancelling the account.
Basically, they provide a $#*!ty service, support and their goal is to scam you out of $36 because you don't know the trial gets upgraded automatically.

My Perfect Resume
I missed that the renewal of my $1.95 would hit and ended up paying $25 per month. Luckily I caught this after the first day. An email to the company yielded a cut-n-paste of the "agreement" to do this. No offer of a reduced monthly, or a refund, or anything. But then I contacted customer service (Laura T.) personally, via this website. Laura happily helped me out by refunding the fee - Thank you so much Laura! It's a bummer that my original emails didn't result in anything close to this, but I won't complain. Having a company active on review sites is a great idea - so keep up the good work!
However, a good piece of advice: MARK YOUR CALENDAR if you do a trial. Much easier!

Beware of huge monthly auto-renewal price if you sign up for a 14-day trial, and mark your calendar so you don't get charged a fee you don't want.

I spent a considerable amount of time creating a draft resume only to find out I can't access without subscribing. The reason for the low rating however is the deceptive representation on cost. You show $2.95 and $5.95 pricing, yet lock people in for higher amounts.

They charge you without prior information! Last but most important, you will spend the time filling your resume on this website, but you cannot download it unless you pay, even for a free trial time. Therefore, it is a scam and later they use your card's information to charge you 23 E monthly without prior notification. Don't ever trust them. When I tried to call the customer service, this is how they respond:

I used MyPerfectResume to create my resume after 12 years of teaching in the same school and planning on switching next year. This was my own fault. I signed up for 14 day trial. Didn't pay close attention to my bank account and $36 was taken out every four weeks in auto-renewals (to the tune of about $700 for a year and a half (a portion of which time I was unemployed). I just didn't notice it $36 at a time lost in debit card purchases. Pretty draconian considering a monthly subscription is, what, $3 and yearly $25?
Again, my own fault. Emailed today and customer service was very polite and professional but the answer was, "We are truly sorry for the misunderstanding, William, unfortunately this was the amount you agreed to pay for."
Fair enough. Undoubtedly a successful business strategy and model but I think a pretty outrageously excessive one as well that counts on people not paying attention. Just my two cents. That said, I liked the service itself. I'm just going to opt for a different one next time I'm in the job hunt.
