I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
I approve of their services. The interface is well arranged and user-friendly. I just love the concept, simply put: you search for the proper category (skills, jobs, etc.) and you're given hints about possible criteria that matches what you are looking for or want to include in your resume, in relation to the job prospect... and then, you get to add those interchangeable related functions in proper bullet-format. That's it, a no-brainer; it cuts down on time and gets you building a resume + cover letter as soon as necessary.
Extremely unsatisfied that i was "surprised with a fee to have my resume" after all the work i put into this resume builder. Im not upset about the price infact it was very reasonable for this service but you shouldnt be advertising as a "free" service. Put pricing in bold on the front page of your website.

I made a one time purchase on the website and probably due to an error, I have been charged 2 more times 23,80 pounds. I noticed and I asked for help through the chat assist. There a lady called Anahi Gordian, if I remember correct her full name, checked together with me and she understood the problem, probably a server error, and she refund me the money. She was very polite and I can say that she is one of the rare people who work like this, because most of them from other companies I would personally fire them, but she its a very good employee!

Don't even remember signing up for this. But, never would have if I had realized it was taking a chunk every month for me to print it ONCE. Spoke with a man I believe said was Eduardo. Very nice and understanding. Always comforting to get ahold of customer service and have them be so polite and sufficient! It's rare nowadays...

With the myriad free job search sites available out there, it seems silly to me that anyone would continue to pay around $25 dollars a month to continue to use a resume site just because they also have a job search engine.
Not to mention the customer service was kind of terrible. I called to cancel my subscription, and waited so long on hold that I actually wondered if someone was going to pick up or if I had been scammed. When someone did finally get around to answering, the person's accent was so thick that it was really difficult to understand what they were saying.

Great tools to build a resume. One of the best outside Microsoft Office.
However the subscription method of payment is too expensive. People who do not have a job or are newly hired likely cannot afford to maintain an account. Anything with a subscription service I rate down 2 to 3 stars depending on how desperate it looks. Charged 40 dollars for one month of an internet resume service... looks desperate.
I would only recommend this to people who are good at financial planning and need a quick resume or two.

You should advise of costs / terms BEFORE people start working on their resume. Good product, but felt blindsided at the end and obligated to pay after spending so much time. Kind of deceptive. I still would have used this service and would have felt better knowing ahead of cost.

However, upon finishing the document, we also give the option of continuing with our premium features if users are satisfied with the end result. This gives you the ability to print, email or download your resume and cover letters using our copyrighted templates, but these features are NOT listed within the Basic Access account. In addition, we do offer a 100% money-back guarantee for our trial fee.
This website promises a trial for a small fee, yet when you try to cancel there is no way to! It says on many different websites they run a scam, and I will call tomorrow to see how true that is. I will update this once the situation is resolved.

I find it extremely misleading that you advertise your service as a "free resume builder" and then after the customer spends two hours creating the perfect resume, you pull the ole bait and switch and won't allow access to it until it's paid for. I just think it's very unethical!

Awful scammers contacted my credit card company and suspended the £23.80 payment also put a block on this particular company from taking any further payments. I canceled this well within the time limit! Think I will report them to trading standards and watchdog! Need to stop these people. Preying on people building C. V's! Obviously ruthless!

A dodgy web with hiding fees. Even having an email from them saying that I want get charged cos there was nothing there (cos I've deleted the CV) at the end getting charged and they cant find the email they send me. Very angry..

I wish I had taken time to read the review. First I was told it was free. Then I ended up paying $6.00 dollars, in Less than two weeks i was deducted. 24.95. These are thieves I hope no one else will be duped.

You can download a plain text version of your resume for free. In order to use all premium features of the service, we offer customers a 14 day access for $1.95 USD and we indicate up front that it will auto renew after the 14 day period and that it can be canceled at any time.
The auto renewal is listed with the features of the 14-day subscription on the sales page, as well as on the payment and confirmation pages. Not as user friendly as I hoped. A little confusing about how to import tips into different Job Descriptions on Resume. Also looking for ways to condense Resume and use past skills that apply to a position, which I do not have current experience.

I think your monthly policy is dumb. You should make a one time purchase agreement, 6 month, or a year subscription. Making people join a monthly transaction is just dumb. I hope you take my feedback because i love your platform and im a returning customer. I just hate that now i have to try and unsubscribe so you dont take money from me when all i wanted was to update my resume and be done ONE TIME...
