I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
I used this service to create a resume for my husband, and it was convenient, easy to use, and made a nice, professional-looking resume. That said, the resume was supposed to have been free, but with a two dollar-something charge, so that's why they had my debit card info. Next thing you know, they're pulling out $24.95 a month, for a resume I made ONE TIME, and never used the service again. Until today, every time I called to cancel, I got hung up on. Today, they tried to keep me on by offering a bunch of discounts, one of which was an employee discount, which just seemed extremely shady to me. I refused them all, so hopefully they stop taking money out. I would have been happy to recommend this site to anyone, due to the tools and services that they offer, but the way that they conduct the business side of things leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't recommend using this site.
Was told that I could cancel my membership from the settings page to make sure I wouldn't get charged again, then when I go to my account theres no option to end my trial. Very frustrated by this as I used it to make a resume, which came out great, but don't want to be locked into this website.

I used the site MyPerfectResume to update my resume,. I applied to couple jobs online, and in about 1 week later, I received a job offer. I wanted to cancel my subscription before the trial period was over, and customer service was very nice, and informative. I recommend this site to build a great resume even with or without a lot of experience.
Like so many others I did not receive any emails relating to ongoing $$ amounts. I used the service and cancelled my subscription after a couple of weeks. I received a cancellation number and email and then 2 days later had $52 debited from my account. I emailed them and had a senseless email back saying to call and cancel. I HAVE ALREADY CANCELLED. How many times do you have to cancel? After reading other reviews its clear that I will have to take this further. I will start with Better Business Bureau and be taking legal advice on further action. I hate scams like this.

It was great up until the part where I was asked to add a credit card. I wish I had know that upfront before putting all that time and effort into typing everything out. At least it was just $3, but still... annoying to get that last minute. LEAD WITH THAT!

My experience with my perfect resume was great I was able to set up and choose my format as they also ask what career you are looking into creating you're resume which I found to be much of help and their tips and suggestions you can easily add. I love the the options that are available to use to build your resume. The two things I do not like is that you cannot preview your resume to check how many pages it will be. I had to alter it quite a few times and was charged each time before I got it correct. The other thing is after setting up your resume, SUPRISE there is a charge. The price should noted before starting your resume building. Marketing tactics I guess. At least I got it done.
I thought it would be FREE. I see it's not.

Love the resume template options and the ease of creating one that best represents who I am, but was a little surprised to have to pay for it based on the advertising I saw in my Google search. I paid, because the templates are that good, but expectations weren't met.

Definitely a bait and switch experience. They get you with the offer of a "free" template" and you can select a "free" template. Then after you spend all of the time answering the questions and try to download your resume using their "free" template turns out it's not free.
Now of course I know there are very few things in life that are free - but this really is pretty underhanded. You really should be more up front so that people know that it will cost them money to download their resume even if they select a "free" template.
Especially now that there are so many people that have lost their jobs - seems like you might want to be a little more helpful. Because while I do not have to be in a hurry to find another job not everyone has that same luxury.

Instead of "download resume" the button should say "purchase resume", because thats what it is. Also your advertisement says "free resume", I did not get a free resume. I'm fine with paying for your services but when you charge me without making it clear that you are charging me and when you advertise a free sevice but then it is not free it feels very slimy. Just be honest for gods sake, you have a decent service.

I would never again use this site nor would I recommend it to anyone else. It is just another way to scam someone out of their hard earned money. The said thing is that most of the people using it are unemployed and looking for a job and you end up with someone gouging what little funds you do have. The amount that they charge you 35.80 monthly is way too much for the service provided. They say you can cancel and charge you for cancelling a day after they charged you, what a crock. I will also put this out on Facebook and YouTube and to anyone else who will listen. I also intend to contact the better business bureau. This has to stop. Even a dead customer was being charged now that is just the ultimate in foolishness. I really thought that the US Government has put a stop to such things
