I searched for resume templates and this site advertised as free. Once information is entered, it requires a credit card for a $2.25 charge. What wasn't obvious (later found on the proof of purchase email in the small print) was the "automatic" $23.95 per month charge that comes from the previously entered card. Unfortunately for me (fortunately for this company) I saw this on my card statement three months later.
I noticed on my bank account a charge from you. I thought I had cancelled the account after we used it once. The man I spoke with was very helpful and cancelled the account and returned the charge to my card.
I had the opportunity of speaking with Stanley who was kind and understanding of my situation and made sure that my account was reactivated with no questions asked. He also gave me some great support with a very positive and understanding way of handling our call. I appreciate the kind of service that not only gets it fixed but also shows some empathy! Thank you Stanley for making a bad day that much better!

Should be upfront about costs before people spend time building a resume only to be tricked into paying for it! Your website is the first one that pops up when you google "free resume builder" and theres no mention of cost until you're already done! Literally had to use my last 30 bucks to pay for this thing, should have been disclosed up front!

In fine print they will charge you $35 without any email reminder. Only got $26 of that back after yelling at the lady on the phone and asking for her supervisor. As I now read the reviews, apparently they are used to having dissatisfied customers.

When you get your resume built you will no longer be able to access it without putting your card info. The site even blocks you from going back. You can obviously tell anyone rating this 4 or 5 stars is fake.
oh and cancelling your account is hard also, they made sure of that. Very bad customer relationship building.

Just to let you all know I emailed customer service early yesterday Australian time. It amazes me that they can trawl complaint sites and respond to try to protect their shoddy brand but won't answer an email. As I said before Buyer Beware

Expensive, lacks flexibility, templates are not compatible with many systems which I recently found out through employers and recruiters causing me many missed opportunities. Frankly, it straight up just makes me look bad and unprofessional. Lastly, it does not translate well in Word doc format. I have been trying to get ahold of customer service for nearly 2 months and I received one reply saying that I should email my resume directly to the employer... you can't do that with almost any job postings - that's not how the application process typically works... after that, I got ghosted...

When you pay for a trial you are being billed an additional $24.95 after two weeks. Very misleading marketing, the subscription model is nowhere clearly stated except confirmation email. Rude customer representative who was not very accommodating. Do not recommend.

We would like to take this opportunity to clear up some information regarding your account: Our free account gives you the chance to try out our resume builder before deciding to purchase. The ability to print, e-mail, or download your resume and cover letters are features included in our paid subscription and not listed as a feature of the free account. You can download a plain text version of your resume for free. For the benefit of our users, we provide the option of a 14-day trial for a small fee.
When you select our 14-day trial enrollment, it provides all the details on screen which state that after the 14th day, it will auto enroll into the monthly subscription service. It also explains that you can cancel at any given time. This alert is also given when the credit card information is requested where it explains that unless you cancel, you automatically authorize us to charge your account every four weeks at the current rate of the subscription. Lastly, when you finish your enrollment process, an e-mail is sent explaining this as well. Auto e-mails can get picked up by the filter as spam or junk mail, redirecting this to the junk/spam folder. Please be sure to check these folders just in case.

My daughter who is a minor entered her bank account information, thinking she was just paying for the original resume. $156 later she realized she had been getting charged monthly + fees! We called the company and they would only refund 3 payments. I hope they feel good about taking a 17 year old girls money for a resume she created for a summer job (which she did not get by the way). They KNOW they are tricking people into signing up for a monthly subscription without realizing it. I am really disappointed in this company taking advantage of a kid. What could be worse?

Never taken their subscription. Just made one time payment of 2.95 dollars. Thereafter they withdraw three payments of 34.95 from my credit card without any authorization, service or subscription. Felt very painful to lose hard earned money to fraudsters.

I didn't see anything advertised about having to pay. Pretty low having people do all the work of creating or editing their resume, only to charge them in order to access it any way. Premium services I could understand charging for, but not telling one ahead of time that myPERFECTresume is not a free service, especially now in the days of paid subscription word processors, is tantamount to theft in my opinion. Shame on you.

They first charged me $1.95, then $34.95. This was not advertised. When logged in, you cannot find what plan you are on, or how much money they will charge per week/month.
I went through the signup again, and indeed in the fine print you can see the first 14 days are $1.95, then $24.95 per 4 weeks. That is not $34.95, so apart from tricking you with a weird payment plan, they also overcharge you by $10.
I have to say an email asking for a refund was answered, and the person stated a refund would be issued. Refund of $32.95 was indeed issued today (9/30). I did notice that there were 2 charges, for $32.95 and $0.65. The latter seems to be some transaction fee as it is a european company probably.
