Quite easy to get started, but not really based on New Zealand ways of describing what each job actually entails, so a fair few amendments required towards the end.

I was perfectly happy until this stupid window wanting my feedback wouldn't close. Crap like this enrages me to the point that I've Canceled subscriptions for less.

In September 2015 my 16 year old son "signed up" for this thinking it was free. When he then printed his resume he thought this was a once off fee so I provided him with my credit card details.
In November 2016 my son was murdered and I have found out that "MyRipOffResume" has been charging me USD$35.80 per month for a service he used once!
Despite numerous emails requesting they cancel the subscription I am continuing to be charged for this service.
I would never recommend this company to anyone!

I decided to have a look at the web site and created a resume then selected the print option. You then get to a page to pay $2.95 to print the resume - this is clearly visible.
However in the fine print below the heading "Need to Cancel? No Problem" there is one line that states"Unless you cancel, you authorize us to charge you every four weeks at the then current rate." This line is buried among some other text and IS NOT HIGHLIGHTED in any way to bring it to your attention. I can easily see how my son thought he was paying a one-off charge to print his one page resume.
NOWHERE on the page does it say you are subscribing to a service - in fact it clearly shows "Total Due Today $2.95" and "Get Your Resume".
NOTE the charge is every 4 weeks NOT once a month so they even try to get 13 payments a year from you rather than 12.
We apologize that you had this experience while using the service and canceling the active subscription to the service. I used the site for the free trial, which I was ok with the $3 charge for the 14 days. Then I forgot to cancel, that one was on me for the first $29.95 charge. In the middle of the first month of my subscription I emailed the customer service to cancel, I was told that because I logged in with Facebook that my email address doesnt show an account so they have nothing to cancel. Im was only slightly pissed at this point so I forwarded all my information to help them find my account which included my account number. They could not help me cancel without my credit card number? There is no reason for this, and I refuse to give a company with a reputation for over charging customers trying to cancel, payment info. Getting nowhere through email I called and have been placed on a call back list 3 times just to be told my account doesnt exist. If I dont exist then stop charging me! Do not fall into the trap, the service was not good enough to put yourself through the pain of getting out when you want.

You may not be liable for unauthorized charges and services not rendered. Also report misleading and false promises such as them telling you the charges will stop. Answer: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I am a very organized person who worked for the state that I reside in as an investigator. I had an injury and had to make a change in my career. I am very careful about getting pulled into scams, however, I felt that this would be a good opportunity to build a resume and cover letter that was more updated than when my original resume that I wrote years ago. First of all, the templates are not free. After spending a long period of time writing the perfect resume, I only had the option of spending $2.99 to have access to the resume/cover letter. I felt that was a reasonable fee for the use of the template. As I stated, I am very organized and manage my finances very well. I made sure that I went into my account and cancelled by subscription after 5 days of use so that I would not be charged the $29.99 for the month. Today, I checked my checking account and sure enough the $29.99 had been deducted. I immediately called customer service and they stated that my cancellation had not gone through and they had no notification of my cancellation. They were willing to give me back only $14.00 of my $29.99 back and then went on trying to sell me more offers. I was extremely angry and then spoke with a supervisor. He also argued that I had not cancelled. I went through the same steps to cancel my account while the supervisor was on the phone with me. Low and behold the cancellation went through! Obviously, this company has set up the cancellation process to fail and you will be charged the $29.00 anyway. I definitely learned my lesson! I had to threaten to have my attorney to get involved due to this company stealing money from my account before they agreed to reimburse my full $29.00. They could not give me a refund confirmation number for the remaining reimbursement. I as a Social Worker who advocate for people could not conscientiously could not write a review to warn people of this scam.
